I don't see Fido Dido's usual and helpful list, so I'll post these from the LA Times:

Viewtiful Joe (PS2) $22.99
Catwoman (All three systems) $14.99 (How low will it go???)
Lord of the Rings: ROTK (All three systems) $14.99
Digimon Racing (GBA) $19.99
Star Wars (KOTOR) (PC) $14.99
Half Life Platinum 2 (PC) $14.99

and the deal of the day:

Samurai Warriors (PS2) $19.99

I hope these apply up here in San Jose. Viewtiful Joe and Samurai Warriors sound like a good deal. Thanks for posting them.

thanks, i ws jsut about to put it up...viewtiful joe is still 22.99 as someone predicted...

for those of you still looking for a good deal on a maxtor hd, frys has a 160 gig for 69.99...

The HD is in the ad, but without a name. So you cheapasses will have a hard time getting that extra 10% at Staples.

BTW, This is the HD to get for a HD Loader. Best Price, perfect fit, maximum data size. (You're guarenteed to get 31 games on it, mine has closer to fifty).

Here's the entertainment software listings from the DFW, LA, and SJ Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - San Diego, Sacremento, Austin, Houston, NV, AZ, WA, OR, IL, GA), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. We have noticed that the Dallas Morning News and SJ Mercury News often run very similar ads. Also, the Chicago ads are often similar to the LA Times ads. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all three (DFW, LA, and SJ) ads.

News: The Atlanta is having its Grand Opening! Sorry, Atlanta, no online ads in the AJC yet.

might've picked up LOTR for that price but isn't it lowered to 19.99 universally...so technically it should be 14.99 at best buy with the GGC that everyone uses....

12.99 for LOTR and i would've been there

thanks for posting the ads

thanks, fidodido....I am trying to resist Samurai Warriors and Viewtiful Joe for $19.99, but I have a feeling I am going to give in later.
Hey Fido, what paper has Amazing Island? OC Times?

I was hoping that game would be in the La Times.
Yeah, the OC Register has the Amazing Island listing. You could try a YMMV if you are trying to pricematch and print it out from the online pages. But in my experience, the BB cashiers won't take photocopied PMs. But that may not stop me from trying to PM the Viewtiful Joe from the OC Register printout either. ;)

There is no ad for the HD Loader. It isn't sold retail, only on the net. Even then though, you'll have a tough time finding them now from what I understand.

Sunday preview for DFW:

$19.99(?): Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic (Price increase?)

???: SRS: Street Racing Syndicate (Cube/PS2/XBox) (Price is missing from the ad - printing error?)

$13.99 (SJ): ESPN NHL 2K5 (PS2/XBox)

$14.99 (SJ): Pac-Man Vs./Pac-Man World 2 Bundle (Cube), True Crime (XBox), Sonic: Mega Collection (Cube), Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (Cube)
