actually, i got it for $21.64 after tax. considering shipping costs will be $2.76, that makes it $24.40. now we have to consider my gas and time not only to go get it but also to make the trip to the post office to mail it. clearly i would be on the losing end if i shipped it for $25.

if you think it's so easy to go get it for $20, go get you one for $20.

yeah, it kinda irks me that some people think that my time & effort & gas are absolutely worthless. i make $26/hour at my job. that's what my company thinks my time is worth.

a trip from my house to circuit city is 30 mins (round trip) due to the city traffic and all the lights there are between here and there, not including the time i have to spend at the service counter. then it's another 20 mins (round trip) to the post office, not including the time i have to spend waiting in those long ass lines for those slow ass cashiers there. and that's just nothing to those people.

i got a pm from some jerk a while back on the BB $5 games deals. i was trading them straight up even for the BB games i wanted but was unable to get, but for those who didn't have anything to trade, i was selling them for $12 shipped for one, $10 shipped for two or more. considering i spent atleast 3 hours driving to 4 different best buys to pick up these games, not to mention how much gas that took, and this pm's me saying "no thanks, i don't want to buy any from someone trying to make a profit". A PROFIT! A fuckING PROFIT!!! you honestly think it is any kind of profit for me, seeing as all the trouble i went through to get and mail these games! that doesn't even include the countless trips i made to the post office mailing those games.

while i can't say i am on board with the circuit city time portion of your rant (bottom line is you were making the trip anyway to get yourself a copy i presume), i am totally with you on the whole post office aspect, it is such a pain (it's why i refuse to sell only one game at a time), i have had the same experience as you with people being pissed that i wouldn't ship games to them at cost and i think it's obnoxious, just because you paid $5 for a game doesn't mean it's not worth more (just pop on eBay - that's where the value is set)

actually, no. i got my game 2 nights ago. and i just got one copy. last night i decided to go get more to sell if i could, so it was a completely separate trip.
 
You could save yourself all these people bitching about the price if you'd wait like 8 more days to post it for sale, once the coupon expires on the 20th. Just saying, people would be more receptive to $30 shipped (which is a good price by the way) if they knew it was not available for $10 less in store.

lol...no offense ikill2game...but you were making it sound really easy on the thread where you were explaining how to do it and how it was cc's policy to accept competitors coupons

but i do agree with you on the pricing points that you make...if you wanted to, you could post your price as $70...its your choice...with gas prices, and the time and effort, i wouldnt blame you...but realistically, i set my prices on whats the cheapest you can get it for now, how much i paid for it, how rare it is, and how much everyone wants it....$30 sounds pretty fair to me, since the only place you can get it cheaper is ymmv

yeah, i thought it was pretty fair too. the only reason i was doing this is for those who couldn't do the circuit city deal. i mean, why in the hell would you buy it from me if you can get it from circuit city for less, right?

i didn't expect anyone who could get it for less to post in here, because that would be stupid. this is just a favor for those who couldn't get it for the circuit city deal, and alot of people can't, apparently.

if i wanted to make money, i'd sell it on ebay cuz i'm damn sure i could get more than $30 shipped on there. this was just a "pass the deal along to those who couldn't get it" favor. i do that alot. i like helping people. what i don't like is getting grief about it.
 
$30 is a very good deal on a new game. Ikill2game is always doing stuff like this on VGtalk, he was selling The chronicles of riddick for $41 shipped new, and I got La Pucelle tactics from him new when it came out for $40. You should be thanking him.
