do you have any online/flyer to prove that harvest moon: magical melody is $14.49 at Wal-mart, if so it would be VERY MUCH appreciated

I can confirm the Walmart deals.

Went to the Burnaby Walmart today, and they had a flyer confirming:

GameBoy Advance:

- Yoshi's Island, Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, or Super Mario advance for 14.63 each.

- GameBoy Advance SP for $67.77

GameCube:

- Super Monkey Ball Adventure for $24.83

- Harvest Moon: Magical Melody for $18.63

There are also various other gaming deals.

Check out the online Walmart flyer here (DEALS END OCT 6):

Now, onto my shopping trip today :D...

So, I went to the Burnaby Walmart this morning, to see if what Spade22 said about Harvest Moon was true.

When I went into the electronics section, they had the flyer taped to the game display glass, and indeed, it said Harvest Moon: MM for $18.63.

However, after looking through the selection, Walmart did not have any in stock! :whistle2:(

Feeling disappointed, I remembered seeing the game at FutureShop and Best Buy, so I decided to try Price Matching there.

So, I then took the bus to Coquitlam Centre mall, to check out FS and BB. FS did not have ANY copies left in stock either, but BB did!

There were 2 copies left, so I grabbed one and brought it up to the counter along with the flyer. Told them I'd like to PM it, and the process went smooth as silk - was in and out within minutes.

In the end, I picked up Magical Melody for $15.32 + tax. There's a copy left at the Best Buy in Coquitlam if anyone's interested.

If you are interested in it Maiyogume, I can pick it up for you sometime later next week. I don't have time to go again until then. But chances are, the last copy will be sold out by then.

Hmm..I guess I should've just picked up both copies earlier. Oh wells. :)

Yup, 1 left at the Best Buy in Coquitlam. (I left about an hr and a half ago)

I did it with the flyer, so I'm not sure about doing it online. (Probably you can since Walmart has the flyer online). If you decide to get off at Lougheed, you can pick up a flyer at Walmart (5-min walk), and then take the 99 B-line.

The faster way is through Braid though.

Good luck! Let me know if you get that last copy! ;)

AWESOME price match? So they gave you a discount yet? Can't you do that with EB Games as well...cause with EB even if I open the games I love that I can actually RETURN Them without trouble in like 7 days where I live. Or did BB give you a discount for the price match as well? I'm gunna try phoning best buy and ask them to reserve a copy for me, cause that's a darn good deal, 15 bucks. Also did you buy Monkey Ball Adventure? I didnt bother cause...I think that game will drop in price like a rock.

EB Games doesn't do Price-Matching.

Best Buy and FutureShop will price match stores, which means they will sell it to you for the advertised price, along with a 10% discount of the difference.

So, since Best Buy has the game for $49.99, and Walmart is selling it for $18.63, the difference is $31.36.

10% of that difference is $3.136, which means they'll sell it to you for ~$15 ($18.63 - $3.136)

Edit: oh and bring it straight up to the cashier

I just went their and they tried to phone, they werent answering the phone so he called up 2 guys and they were like "ya sure whatever" cause he said he saw it in a flyer earlier. Then he asked me the price and he actually said it was lower by a buck or so, but I was honest and told him the real price, so he rang it up and I ended up getting about 5 bucks off the game....he was like "wow you guys got a good deal have fun" lol. I had to wait like 10 minutes though for that hassle but it was well worth it. I had a fun day....crap though I better go study for an hour before bed though...at least finish up this lab....
