Full Metal Alchemist Tin - $33 shipped ($30 with Got anime discount.)

dammit, let me see if I can get home, cash my check, beat up my friends for money (they owe me about $600), and hopefully everythings comes through all right. Thanks OP.

Also got in on this with Boogieman for free shipping. Thanks for the deals Admiral. Total for both is $78.03, less than what Boogieman retails for by itself.

I got super-lucky with the tin boxset... I pre-order mine as soon as it was announced with the $5 off $35 coupon- back before they knew what the box and bonus would be, so the price was set lower. I paid $28. :D

Seventy Four left....

Also, I recommend people who want it order GitS:SAC volume 7 from Deep Discount DVD.

The Limited Edition is available for Pre-order at $21. However, it was mentioned that the LE will come in a Tin and with a T-shirt and retail for $50. DDD still thinks it'll only be $35.

SO get it while you can.

IF DDD finds out about the price increase, you don't think they will either cancel people's preorders or send e-mails about a price increase?

I thought I saw this for $33 just yesterday at... Target or Best Buy, I think. I can't remember which, since I visited several stores yesterday. I know it was $33, though, because I was strongly considering it, but cash was a little tight yesterday.

I'm not sure, it seemed rather awkwardly-shaped. It didn't look like it'd hold more than three DVDs, if that, and usually series like FMA are parcelled out far more than that.

Thanks for the heads up, Ackbar. I dropped in a pre-order for Volume 7. Time to get around to watching Vol. 3 and 4 finally. :D

Yeah I also ended up preordered GiTS. I just hope that they don't raise the price on the preorders, otherwise I may just pick it up at Best Buy instead.

Yeah that's kinda what I gathered from looking at pictures. It certainly doesn't look big enough to hold the whole series and to me without it being able to do so a special collector's box/tin is kinda worthless.
I have a question...Is the FMA tin designed to fit the rest of the series' DVDs in there or is it just a special tin?
It's designed to hold a chunk of the series. Ya know how G-Gundam put out 4 3-disc sets? Same idea. The tin hold about 4 discs, it looks like. Unfortunately, the way the lid's hinged means it won't sit right if you stand it up so the DVD cases would be vertical. Mine's on a shelf next to my DVD cabinet instead of in it becuase of that.

Also- whatever pig-bastard package mine put those 'as seen on Cartoon Network' stickers directly onto the tin. Dunno if your will be the same, but don't be surprised if you have to scrape off some sticker-gunk.
