Funimation drops at Amazon

Watching Soul Eater lately myself and thought I grabbed it on a good deal at 33$ when the bluray complete first came out.I'd recommend this to any action anime fans for the bargain price.I have to think this is probably the lowest we'll ever see it.

It is part of Amazon's Year-End Sale. A ton of crap is on sale.

Here is the link to the anime TV series: Here

EDIT: Here is the link to DVD versions.

Wow, that's a great price for Soul Eater. I'm pretty tempted, although I wasn't planning on ever buying the series (I only thought the show was *okay* but not something I'd watch twice). I would definitely jump on C-Control if it had a 2nd season to wrap everything up.
Thanks OP! I checked price on Soul Eater Complete $20.99 weekly. I don't think it ever drop down below $21 for long time ;)
Seems like a lot of effort. Guess you're not aware of price watch tools like camel^3 and blu-ray.com.

C-Control is good. But I already own the limited edition blu of that. Might pick up Hellsing Ultimate. I believe there will be 2 more hellsing ultimates released before the series is complete.

Oh and I highly recommend Eden of the East Complete Series. And also Steins Gate. Both are excellent.
Is Sekirei even any good? As I said, I don't really watch harem anime, and it looks like that kind through and through.
I'm usually a bit intolerant towards harem anime myself, but I thought Sekirei was actually worth a watch. I enjoyed the characters and plot...the only problem is, Season 1 and 2 doesn't finish up the story. You'll have to follow the on-going manga to see what happens after Season 2, unless a Season 3 is eventually produced.

Thanks for the heads-up.

Avoid C, buy Sekirei.

Sekirei is a harem anime with watermelon-breasted women and a stupid plot that somehow manages to be far, far better than something like that should be. It's well worth a watch if only to marvel at how they managed to do something with such a stupid premise.

That's a great price on Soul Eater. It's so great I think I'll make it the fourth anime I own. The price, that is. The show itself ain't bad aside from the ending.

Sekirei is one of the few modern anime harem shows I own and I do enjoy it. The gag boobs do get annoying, but the actual plot is quite good, save for the annoying sibling plot. The series is like Full Metal Panic, it adapts the source material via different seasons rather than as a log runner.

Oh, and the opening themes to both seasons are freaking beautiful.

Boy, I don't even *like* Soul Eater that much, and I'm considering picking it up for that price. Stylish as all heck, but the writing and characters just aren't very good. Decisions, decisions...
Anti-climatic tis an understatement.
If you look at it as a season finale it worked slightly better.
Phenomenal deal on Soul Eater, kicking myself now for getting it @ $36 from RightStuf a few weeks ago. :whistle2:(
Same here lol

I'm in the same dilemma, but after thinking it over, I think I'll pass on this deal. However, I have to say, it's quite the steal for fans of the series.

I never got past the first 4 or so episodes of Soul Eater, should I semi-blind buy and pick this up? :S

Yeah, likewise. Why buy something I have no desire to watch again? I was almost tricked by the great price on a mediocre product.

I thought the first five or so were just "ok" and didn't think anything of the series.I didn't really start getting into it about 9 or 12 episodes into it.Just finished disc 3 so about half way in and can't really comment on the rest of the show but from what I've seen I'd say pick it up.At 20$ its as good of a price as we'll see for a long time and its always nice to pick up cheap anime blu-ray while somehow the dvd version is at 45$ish.

I have no idea why they discount the blu-ray so much compared to the plain ole dvd version.

At $20, it is a good blind buy and an easy re-sell. After all, you're paying $20 for 50-some episodes. Damn good deal.

Just finished rewatching Soul Eater a few days ago. Great series, minus the last 10 minutes. Very worth $21 for the complete blu-ray. I paid like $25 a piece for each of the four dvd sets as they came out. As this price I'm tempted to pick up the blu-ray as well...

That's a good deal on Soul Eater. I had picked it up for $30, and was going to give my old 4 part dvd sets to one of my nephews. At this price I can trade in my old sets to pay for a blu ray copy for each of them.

^ This. Would have been awesome to get it for $20, but I'm still satisfied for $36. (I really enjoyed Soul Eater.)

Man, I loved Soul Eater. One of my top animes of all time, although I do like the Shonen stuff, haha.

Amazing deal at that price, even for Cags.

Casshern sins blu/DVD, samurai Champloo and Eden of east seem like deals, are they really?

Thinking of biting on casshern.

I'm holding out for the SAVE edition of Casshern to hit $18 during the next Funimation studio sale at RightStuf.

Champloo blue ray took a PQ hit

Wow, C Control isn't even for sale by Amazon anymore. Dammit. Dunno what happened with Stein's Gate. Maybe Funi is coming out with a complete collection soon.

I have yet to watch my copy of Samurai Champloo (Anime Classic) but I heard it had a good upscale compared to its first blu-ray release (orange case).

I loved C [Control]. Masakaki became one of my favorite characters of all time. Too bad there won't be a second season. :(

Thinking about getting Soul Eater, don't know if I should bite. >
Dunno what happened with Stein's Gate. Maybe Funi is coming out with a complete collection soon.
Way too soon. Part 1 cane out in September. A complete series likely won't come until summer at the earliest, depending on how much Bandai stuff FUNi gets to fill up the release schedule.

Needed a filler, went to go watch the Doctor Who Christmas Special, and it's gone now. Oh well, saves me $25.

PQ hit?

Also is rightstuf generally the best place to buy anime that's reasonably priced?
