Yesterday I got in the mail an FYE flyer with some decent deals on it. In the middle of the ad they are advertising a sale on three PSP games. The games are $10 each and include Hot Shots Golf Open Tee, ATV Offroad Fury Blazin Trails, and Wipeout Pure. This is a decent deal especially for brand new PSP games. Also on the back there is a coupon you can cut out for 40% off any used item which would include games, movies, and music. There are undoubtably some good games to be had for a great price when using this coupon. I don't have the coupon with me but will check tonight when I get home for the expiration date.
Did you previously sign up for a mailing list, or was this just random junk mail?
No it just came in the mail along with the other paper ads that come in everyone's mail box around here. My scanner is down so I might see if I can snap a pic and post an image of the coupon.

AFAIK the circulars are avaiable in stores too.

Would it work on used systems (if FYE even has those?) Used PSPS w/ 40% off would be hot...

That coupon would be great. If it is just random mail flyers, they probably only send in the local area, and since the closest fye is about 30 min drive away, I'm probably not going to get any of these ads.

Ok I have got a scan of the ad and of the coupon and would be happy to post it if someone could tell me how to do it. Also -I have compressed the size down to about half a megabyte, it that small enough?
Anyone know if the 40% would stack with the 10% from Backstage Pass?
It's quite possible. They ran a promo over the summer that was 30 off used, 40 w/ Backstage card. I've been waiting a long time for this deal to return.. I picked up oblivion for like 25 back when it first came out there using the 40% off thing.

If this deal comes back.. My FYE can say goodbye to about 75% of its used 360 games

Just got back from my FYE. The store had pretty slim pickings. Not sure when the deal came out but seems that a lot of the good stuff got plundered early. I was mainly looking for 360 games and mostly found sports titles. One possible deal for most people might still be PSP games and movies. The PSP greatest hits were $15 before coupon and UMD movies were mostly $10, 12, and $15 before coupon meaning if you would buy UMD movies only for $10 and under like me this might be your lucky day. I picked up The Island for $6 and it turned out to be a new copy repackaged as used. They had a ton of them so I bet they were all like that. I am considering going back for Nirvana UMD for $6 and Van Helsing for $7 after coupon.
Also - They have the flyers at the front of the store so it isn't really necessary to have scans of the coupon, you can take all you want. Expiration date is 4/28/07.

I don't often shop at FYE, well, ever... but this could make for some good deals... about the Backstage Pass, question:

... it says on the FYE site that you can get a full refund on Backstage Pass if you request a refund the same day you purchase it... so could I technically purchase the Backstage Pass, use it in conjunction with this sale, then cancel it and get a refund?

If so, this could be a good deal for me.... and my birthday's coming up within the next couple of weeks, so if the sale's still on... the 20% off birthday discount on Backstage Pass + 40% off used items coupon. mmm.

I just picked up Test Drive Unlimited (XBox 360) for $18 and yesterday (one coupon per day) I picked up Burnout Revenge for the PSP for $9.00

I'm tempted to go back and get Tiger Woods '07 for $34.99 - 40% (around $20.00)
I would but I don't know how. Help anyone?
There's no need. The weekly ad has a coupon in it and the ads are available as you walk in the door.

Any idea if Sam Goody is having the same deal? Becuase they are the same company belonging to Transworld Entertainment, and usually they have the exact same deals.

I was also wondering if the deal exisited at Strawberries.

I was at FYE last night, and Hot Shots Golf and ATV Offroad rang up $19.99. I mentioned the flyer, and even though the store didn't have the flyer, the manager overrode the $19.99 price down to $9.99 for each game. No complaints from me, but I hope they do get the flyer at some point!

Miami FYE locations I went to do not have flyer/coupon and are not aware of any. Someone please post. Thanks.

My scans are on my computer at home. I only have 5 minutes at home after work until I go to school so if someone will pm me their email address I will email you the pics and you can host them on your post. I won't have time to set up a photobucket or similar account tonight.

The op emailed me the pics. Can the mods add this to the first post? Sorry, image shack is the best I can do for now. If anyone else can host them better, please do so.

Just came back from FYE in Fair Oaks, VA. They didn't have any flyers or cupons and Wipeout and Hot Shots Golf rang up at $20, not $10. The clerk wouldn't budge, but I picked them up anyways. Hopefully we can get a better scan of the flyer so I can bring it back and get the price adjusted.

Made a slightly bigger size to see the promo numbers (the op's scan was huge and I had it resized)
Unfortunately, there's no date on the ad so it's probably useless for price matching or if your FYE doesn't have those prices.

The thing on the PSP games in the ad scan is that it is in the middle of the advertisement and nowhere on that page does it say FYE or the week. The only way to use the ad is if you have the ad. You wouldn't be able to print the scan out and bring it in for price matching like you guys are thinking. Another thing, seems this is YMMV so I am guessing it is a regional advertisement and not all stores are participating. I noticed at my store the games were marked with "Sale $10" advertising.
40% off would make for one heck of a good deal on some games.
Gears of War is normally like 45 dollars used... after the 40%, the price is unbelievable. too bad my damn FYE closed down. DAMNIT!

BTW, the Price of GoW used after that coupon is 27 dollars + tax (a variable)

Used the coupon to snag Killer 7 for a whopping $6.50. Even though it says "No reprints" on the coupon, the clerk didn't notice, and even complained that the small print was hard to read. But, it worked none-the-less!

If anyone sees a phyiscal copy of the ad I would be happy to pay for shipping and throw in a few more. I'm looking to save $20 plus tax.
Just make sure it doesn't say "Valid in TX only" or anything like that. :)
If I print that coupon out...would I even be able to use it today? It expires on 4/28/07.
Today's the 27th. I'd assume so.

Bump, I snagged Magna Carta: SE for 22.80. Also grabbed a brand new (tagged as used) Robotech Collector's Edition for Xbox (wish it was the Gamecube version) for 9.00.
