I just got an email from www.fye.com that includes coupon code OCTOBERBOGO for Buy 1, Get 1 50% off for all CDs, DVDs, and Used items (I assume used games are included as well).

Looks like this is good until the end of October, though I don't see a specific date.

Edit: Some users are reporting glitch with code that gives 50% off of ONE item, without having to buy a second.

LOL, they fixed it minutes after I posted. figures...I was right in the middle of ordering The Day After Tomorrow BD too. :(

1. Failed to place order with PayPal: The totals of the cart item amounts do not match order amounts.

Crud! It seems like the code is working like it's supposed to now. I can only get the discount if I add two used items to the cart.

Uh-oh... my first order just got canceled. Supposedly due to the item being unavailable. It DOES actually appear to be out of stock now on the website, so hopefully this is just a coincidence and not a sign that all these orders are gonna get shot down.

They shipped my first order of Spartacus Criterion that I made last night. :D

Placed another order today once I found out it worked on new items, but I expect that to be canceled.

I put two used games in my cart and the code isn't applying...so this might now only be working on used cds and dvds

EDIT - or some kind of combination because if I add a DVD, then it takes it off one of the games

The code seems to be working almost properly now. That is, if I put two used games in my cart I get 50% the cheaper one, but it still says it is suppose to be for music and movies. Just havin one item in my cart didn't work. I didn't actually place an order, though, as I can't find two thing I want that are the same price (to maximize the deal), at least not used.

looks like my third order (using the glitched-out code from yesterday) has actually shipped. ECW "Blood Sport" for just under ten bucks shipped, not bad!

Ordered Top Gun HD-DVD for $16.02 shipped. It arrived today. After the $7 mail in rebate it will bring the price to $9.02.

Not bad at all.

My top gun HDDVD shipped today for $15.xx and Planet Earth HDDVD yesterday for $57.xx.

Got this email today:

Dear fye.com Shopper,
You recently placed an order on fye.com that is being cancelled. You may have received notice that it has shipped out, this is not the case as the order was stopped from shipping out due to a pricing error.
Your order was placed using a coupon code that was intended to allow a Buy One Get Second Item 50% Off, and not a 50% off the price of 1 item only. Due to this coupon pricing error your order is being cancelled and refunded back to your original purchase method.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
Thank you
fye.com Shopper Support

**Please note**
fye.com reserves the right to cancel any order for any reason at anytime.

When I tried applying the code earlier, I received the message that the code had expired.

So much for ending at the end of the month, huh?

This is what comes up:

There is a problem with what was submitted:

I got that too...

Oh well, I hate FYE anyway...but I really really wanted Planet Earth on HD for 50 bucks!
FYE is such a dumb company...WHY DO YOU EXIST?!!!....oh yeah...for lots and lots of trade-ins bwahahhahaahahahah
Only other good part about them is that their games are usually in pristine or at least near mint shape and you don't have to pick through 10 copies of ONE game to find the ones that's 'scratched the least', unlike Gamestop which takes in games covered in fecal matter and charges their owner a refurb fee but they don't actually CLEAN the games.
