Don't know how long its been going on for but I was at the FYE in the Gallery mall in Philadelphia,PA today and they had ridiculous deals today. 30% off PC games that were in a bin. Buy one get one free of Xbox/PS2 games in a bin. Buy a $15 dollar valued used game and get one game free. Don't know about mixing GBA with Gamecube or PS2 with Xbox etc etc. Going back tomorrow.

i was at a smaller FYE (lebanon valley mall in PA) and i didn't see anything like this

of course i was only there to look for delicious heavy metal so maybe i missed it (doubtful)

Before all the FYEs closed around my area they had sales like this all the time. All the items on sale were trash though.
I'd rather not go to the Gallery
LOL, I know of some rather infamous things that go down there... I'll spare myself a trip. Thank you for the heads-up; I may be checking another FYE in the area for this sale or similar!

I saw titles like Smackdown vs. Raw 07, Kingdom Hearts 2, Final Fantasy XII, but I have them all so I felt shitty missing out on even better deals then the deals I bought them for. Haha. I'm going back tomorrow in attempt to find GBA games. Wish me luck!

I actually find the Gallery to have a good selection of games. I picked up a new Silent Scope Complete there for $29.99, which I had been looking for, for a few months. They also had Wario Ware Twisted which at the time no other FYE near me had.

man, if only the fye in ohio had the same deal

it was just 2 weeks ago i got smash used for $15 (it couldve been another game too!)

but anyways im thinking ymmv

My local fye had all of their new video game software (with the exception of Wii games) on sale for 30% off. Hardware (again, with the exception of the Wii) was 10% off.

How much is Smackdown vs. Raw 2007?!

Not to take this OT but what goes on at the Gallery? Thats the Mall in Center City right, think I've been in there a couple of times.

Used to walk over there myself during lunch when I worked in Philly back in High School.

What has happened to the Gallery? I mean, it was never anything spectacular (as far as 4-story malls go). I remember when they put the Kmart in...bought my first gameboy mini or whatever there... met friends for lunch etc. Also bought tons of cheap PC software at software etc. good memories.

But that was >10 years ago. What is going on now?

Last week, when I was getting my extra 20% for trade-ins, my FYE had a buy 2 used games; get 1 free. Figured I would've saw that on here but I guess it was YMMV.

I bought a MS Sidewinder Pro gamepad from the Gallery back in 2000 while I was a freshman at Drexel U.

Philadelphia is a trashhole, but it was MY trashhole for five years. :)

Same with mine (except mine was a Coconuts).
4 story mall?!

Biggest I've been in was the 2story in Southpark and I thought that was huge..
LOL I can top that, easily. Usually when I go to the auto auctions in Syracuse, NY area, there's this humungous mall up there called The Carousel. One level alone(at the very top) is a combo arcade/movie theater complex. And the thing is, they're supposedly going to EXPAND the Carousel Mall too, but they've been saying that for the 2+ years I've been going up that way for work.

Counting the small lower level, where there's a Steve & Barry's and some other stores, there's probably 5-6 levels EASY.

They have probably 200 stores in there, yet NOT ONE FRIGGIN GAMESTOP. Lucky for me, I know where there's a mall up 481(I think thats the route anyway) where there's a Gamestop in another mall(within 10 or so miles), a Gamestop in a shopping center right NEXT to the mall and a Best Buy in front.

Plus, on top of all that, there's probably 2-3 pawn shops, a couple more Gamestops and even another mall somewhere up in the same vicinity.

They've actually just recently gotten the approval to start that expansion. They have this grand scheme with a waterpark and crap, but for now it's just more stores and a hotel. Really, the owner is just doing it to get another tax break (he didn't pay any for the first 20 years, and this expansion was his way to get it extended). There was an EB right next to the food court until a couple years ago, but they decided the rent was just too high (and it is) for a store like that to prosper. And yeah, the Syracuse area has way too many malls. Don't expect that mall on 481 to last much longer though, every store in the place has been closing or pulling out recently.

I got completely turned around in that mall(Shoppingtown I believe its called)the last time I was in there, so I didn't even dare go in there this last time I was up that way, though I did hit the EB or GS behind there. I think that was a dump store last time I was there.

Plus, I got some of the usual comments from the people from Best Buy, when I found the OLD, OLD version of the Oblivion guide still on the shelf(PC/360). They said I was 'gonna Ebay them'. I love that that is the only line they can come up with for them NOT pulling them like they're supposed to. I saw some Medieval Total War ones there too, but I didn't dare be a smartass and go back in to grab THOSE too. LOL

I was hoping to find a Borders that somehow still had games that didn't sell when they were 75% off back during the game clearance a while back, but none of the ones I've been to lately even looked like they EVER had games.

Oh and ON TOPIC, what's the name of the mall in Springfield, since I haven't been down Philly way in a long while, cause I swear that was something like the Galleria or something.

It's just ghetto as hell....and the employees at the Game Stop there were the worst. They hired new people now though and it's a bit better. I drop by the FYE there often as an alternative to the game stores.

LOL, seriously. That place and it's two EB Games!

I picked up Arc the Lad Twilight of the Spirits (PS2) and The Suffering Ties That Bind (XB) for $9.99 each at the Manhattan store. These aren't super-deals, but they've been on my want list for a while, and they were new.
