After being pulled over by the manager at my local GS It was brought to my attention that the trade 4 get 50% trade in offer is a 1 time deal P/P, meaning you can still have other's to do it for you but you cant use the same GS card, But in my case after 3 runs & amassing $467 in Cred for my 360 P/o they flagged my @$$ and am no longer able to trade in to add to my existing credit balance or use it without canceling my current P/o until the 360 ships. In my defense I did explain to the manager that I had asked an employee on the offers limitations and was told thier were none, so I'm not held liable for it or suffer any loss, I just thought this info would come in handy to someone else, here's the damage report.

Originally put $100 down in may when 360 Po's started...

1st Run = $150:
2X Midnight Club Dub XB $37.50 ea.
San Andreas XB $37.50
Forza $37.50

2nd Run = $117 ( - 20 4/Klonoa 2)
Midnight Club DUB XB $36 (2 many perhaps?)
Pariah $27
Area 51 XB $27
MoH: Euro Assault $27

3rd Run = $118.50
Midnight Club DUB PSP $33
Coded Arms $26
NFL Street PSP $33
Untold Legends $27

Considering what I paid for most of this stuff I dont blame GS..lol

Only because someone asked me...
I paid 25 for my first copy of DUB which I beat 100%, 2nd I traded some old PC games to a friend for & the 3rd copy I traded a sealed $15 Metroid Prime 2 (EB) for and lastly the GTA San Andreas I bought for 40 and also achieved 100% completion after about 124 hours so call it a $2.50 rental...hope that info helps

How the hell does Gamestop flag your account? AFAIK, that stuff isn't stored in the computer, and Gamestop dosen't have a "membership" card, unless you count that Gamestop card but I don't even think that's tied to a name.

I mean, with Gamerush, you need your Blockbuster card to trade, and that has ALL your information... Gamestop has no such thing, unless they specfically took down your name and your info and tacked it on the register somewhere not to accept trade-in's from you.

I mean, shit, Gamestop's computer system is so freaking ancient that everything they have on file there is all on paper - I guarantee they'd have to dig through their paper records to find out what I just traded with that 50% deal.

you get flagged because you only get an extra 40% without the car but 50% with it
sooooooo, im guessing that it keeps track of card usage on there

This is false. There is nothing to prevent you from using this coupon other than that particular store manager and your willingness to shell out $6.00 for a new mag. There is no method of tracking, excepting the memories of the employees at the store you frequent. Simply go to another location, or drop in when it's staffed by different ...um...staff.

My closest GS is on 125th in Harlem NY they've had the same employee's there for quite a few years now, its extremely difficult for them not to recognize regular customer's, as for the coupons I got my first one free the 2nd from a friend and the 3rd I paid for & gave the issue away...I got flagged because they staple all the reciepts 2gether and my recent actvity was clearly visible so a disgruntled employee ratted me out to the Manager...

Yeah...if you go to Gamestop and trade in nothing but newer game and then abuse their promotion, they will ban you. They have the right to refuse all trade ins. It is NOT a 1 time only deal, but they will reject your trade if you abuse it.

My GS let me trade in as many games as I wanted...not just 4. But I will need to do this deal just once more....just once.

You lucked out , the coupon clearly states up to 4
No, the coupon says up to 4, but all stores were told as many games as they want...
That Blows, I had to do it 4 @ a time...then again my GS is always worried about upsetting their GM

geez.. this is why i hate trading in games... it always gets shut down eventually.. and it sucks because now you got all this credit you have to use at their store.. even though its not as good of deal to do it all on EBay but at least you can choose where to take your business.

Well yeah, because people always are taking advantage of the promotion in ways it was not intended. The OP traded in 2 copies of the same game, a relatively new game at that, and the PSP version of the same game. When that happens, the flag goes up.

And then the other games he traded in were relatively new as well, granted he may have bought them for cheap, but the average employee is thinking...THEFT...and thats what most employees will think. That's the last thing they want, is having the police down their throats for accepting what could possibly be stolen games.

No offense to the OP, I'm not saying you stole these games, but you can't expect to trade in multiple copies of games without getting shut down eventually.
