G.I. Joe- "A Real American Hero"? Not so with the new movie
Maybe Serpentor will be in the movie. Complete with terrible custom design ala Street Fighter: The Movie. At least then it would be good for a laugh. Well, it will be good for laugh anyway, but it needs stuff like that to put it over the top.
he made for a cool toy but hes one one of the most annoying gi joe characters ever. now nemesis enforcer was the shit he would have made a good leader for cobra except for the whole mute grunting thing.

flint will be played by asthon kutcher

duke will be played by matt damon

snake eyes will be played by the guy who plays lucas on one tree hill

storm shadow will be played by the asian guy from harold and kumar

destro will be played by vilmer valderamma

and cobra commander will be played by ryan seacrest

minus her being knocned up laura prepon would have made a great scarlette hell scarlette johansen would too.

"mykevermin" Well thank you sir! If it wasn't for your smarts I would not have known that there were people other than "whites". Anyway, anyone can tell that they have different accents. That was not the point. Quick Kick was from a different country and that was the point. I was not focusing on bad stereotypical voicework and drawings as you were.

On less serious note:

Destro= Micheal Clark Duncan
Serpentor= Vin Diesel
Duke= Jason Statham
Scarlett= Judge Judy :)

And costume design ala Masters of the Universe would also be hilarious.

They best leave Masters of the Universe ALONE when it comes time for that shit. If Teela wants to show her tits or something that would be ok, though.

Living in Los Angelos does not mean he was born and grew up there. And by the way before quick joined the team he was in Hollywood being a stuntman. And just for "kicks" Quick Kick was Japanese and Korean.

I'm not sure what you're smiling about, seeing as how you're wrong about his origins. Nevertheless, your pestering ignorance wins out the day, as I don't have the patience to argue over the origins of a minor fictional character with such a narrowminded fool.
if it's directed by Micheal Bay... it might actually be a good movie, as he knows how to get good support from the US Military.
Micheal Bay and the phrase "good movie" should never be next to each other.

There was already a He-Man movie, back in 87 I think. That movie was so bad I cring thinking about it.

No shit. But it was awesome because Drago was He-Man and Noodles was Gwildor. And on a less fortunate note, it was the dark-haired chick from Friends first movie.

They're supposedly doing another one. John Woo was attached at one point but I believe the rights went back to Mattel and now there is another writer/producer working on it.

Wow, more fucking bullshit movie raping by Hollywood. Who would have guessed?

It's no wonder I haven't been to the theatre in years.

hey at the time the heman movie was freakin cool.yeah now it looks like crap and is bloody cheesy as hell but being a kid in that era the movie blew you away. especially the guy who used 2 swords man he was freakin cool my major dissappointment was how lame skeletor looked. and that there was no orko.

if theyre going to keep cranking out remakes they should try to remake that disney movie Black Hole. awesome movie for its time and pretty dark for a disney film it could be even better with the proper actors and some technology. but id keep theose good guy robots very close to how they looked in the original movie except maybe less cartoony. and maybe give the evil robots a bit more mobility but not too much.

The Rock, Transformers

Yep, you were right he was indeed born in LA. But that does not mean that all Joe's were USA born. Big Ben, Snowstorm.

Hasbro Comments on G.I. Joe Movie

Source: Necomortis
November 5, 2007

Hasbro has released to following message to fans regarding Paramount Pictures' live-action G.I. Joe adaptation, to be directed by Stephen Sommers and written by Stuart Beattie:

Hasbro's G.I. Joe Team wanted to take this opportunity to clarify some of the facts regarding the G.I. Joe live-action movie that we are developing with Paramount Pictures.

First and foremost, we are not changing what the G.I. Joe brand is about. The name "G.I. Joe" will always be synonymous with bravery and heroism.

The G.I. Joe brand has enjoyed a successful 43-year history, spanning two key generations. The first was the line of 12-inch "realistic military" figures that were popular with kids in the 1960s and 1970s.

The second generation, was created in 1982, and is based on a cast of fictional heroes and villains that make up the "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" fantasy. The premise of this fantasy is the story of the G.I. Joe team, led by Duke, and their "fight for freedom wherever there is trouble" against the evil Cobra Commander and his Cobra force. This storyline was an instant hit with kids in the early 1980s, spawning a highly popular 3-3/4-inch action figure line, comic book collection and animated series.

This movie will be a modern telling of the "G.I. Joe vs. Cobra" storyline and its compelling characters that Hasbro created 25 years ago. The G.I. Joe team will not be based in Brussels. Instead, they will be based out of the "Pit" as they were throughout the 1980s comic book series. And, in keeping with the G.I. Joe vs. Cobra fantasy, the movie will feature characters and locations from around the world. Duke, the lead character and head of the G.I. Joe team, will embody the values of bravery and heroism that the first generation of G.I. Joe figures established.

G.I. Joe is a very important property to Hasbro and we thank all of our fans for their enthusiasm. Without all of you, the brand would not be where it is today.

eh......its gonna suck thats a given....

lol as long as they are all horrible shots like in the 80's cartoon, always just missing each other by inches.
