Game Boy Micro

I just bought one for $29 at GS, and it was one of two in my area (which is quite a well populated area), and the only one that didn't look like it'd been dropped about 50 times. In fact, it's nearly perfect...

The problem I'm running into is finding faceplates for it (other than the silver one available from Nintendo's website).

i bought one off ebay a few months back for $20, besides the scratched face plate it was in great shape. bought a cheap faceplate off amazon, and now it looks brand new.

I got my GB Micro on ebay since I wanted special edition model.. I would check your local gamestop and any other pawn shops/game specialty shops if any in your area before buying online. You may find a great deal..

There's a local retailer near me...prices are great for movies and CDs. But for some reason they've been trying to sell their last Gameboy Micro for almost three years at full MSRP. They've been doing the same thing with the stack of PS1 Greatest Hits titles for even longer. Madden 98 for forty bucks? COUNT ME IN! :wall:

I'm up in Western Washington. Local Gamestop they haven't heard of any branches having these in stock (even used!) outside of California. At least as far as the west coast goes. They had some SPs available that appeared to have seen better days. I never really cared for those though.

Was thinking of picking one up on ebay but the low price seems to be around $40+shipping. Is that a decent price?

If you buy a used one from eBay, I would ask if there are any stuck pixels and where they are. I returned mine once because it had 5 right in the middle of the screen. They didn't affect gameplay, but it was slightly irritating.

$40 is what I paid for my 20th Anniversary Famicon-style Micro during Black Friday about 3 years ago. But, mine didn't come with extra faceplates so I bought a few Famicon ones from Nintendo. I use the Micro often as I have a backlog of GBA games. So yeah, I'd buy another for $40 if mine crapped out on me.

You could check the game trading section of the site. I picked up one there as a trade for KZ2. Theyre are tough to find out in the wild, in decent condition. Well worth it though, I only regret not picking it up on Black Friday a few years back when Circuit City was selling them for $20...
