I've been meaning to post this for a while, and I'm sorry that I haven't gotten around to it.. I'm not too high on the company right now, and honestly, it's about to get worse.. but I digress. Here's the deals as I know them to be for the month of December. Dates and whatever else information is needed will be provided. Here we go! Separated with ='s so it's a bit easier to read.

===================================================================

Game Crazy's 12 Crazy Days of Christmas - Starting December 13th, you'll be able to text in daily for a chance to win great prices. There's a poster that should be placed in each store that shows the prizes as well as the number to text in - I will try to get this soon.

===================================================================

40% off Guitar Hero Bundles and Select Guitar Hero Games - this is valid NOW through December 25th - it EXCLUDES Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero, and Guitar Hero Van Halen. The 40% off applies for NEW product only, NOT USED. Since I know someone will be a dumbass and ask the question, there's no MVP pricing structure here since it's new product. Here's a chart of the item that is discounted and how much it will be. The employee needs to scan the coupon for this to work. I'm never one to post company memos, but I may scan this one so you guys can get in on this deal.

And let's go ahead and end this with the usual Q&A session.. well, just A's.

No, there's no online store, so yes, you must go in the store.

Yes, there's an ad, and it should be appearing in stores next week. No, I don't know if they will post the ad online.

No, I don't know whether or not the system you want is widely available. No, I don't know when the store will get it back in stock, because - and here's the big secret, folks - used product is product that people trade in so it could come back in at any time. I'm tired of answering the availability question - there's no proper way to manage whether or not a system or game will be available at your local store. Pick up the phone or make the drive and see.

I still use my GH2 Xplorer guitar.

Thanks for the post Scorch. Tho I don't think I'll be in for any of these, except maybe a new used ds lite with 2 games for $100. If I can build up some more credit.
A question unrelated to the deal: Which GH guitar controller do you think is the best out of the bundle?
The GH3 Les Paul controller is by far my favorite guitar. I still use it to this day. The Xplorer was too small and the World Tour and GH5 ones were iffy with the slider bars. And the Rock Band guitars, although more visually pleasing, never worked well for expert level playing. Wow, I just let my nerdiness show...
Is "Guitar Hero World Tour Bundle (complete band kit) - $59.99" a good deal?? I might get it for the PS3.
That's probably the best price I've seen it around for.

I wish this was for rock band 2 because I need wireless drums, the GH drums just aren't fun for rock band and confuse any newbies at a party.

So that why alot of peoples were at my local GC went to wal-mart for about 15 mins then went to GC boy was it was full. But I did get the B1G1 free got me ShadowRun for 14.99 new and the free game I got was Crackdown new. Then I brought Assassin Creed for 16.99 used. Anyway I still going back to get another games and hopefully it not full.

Sorry for any confusion. Employees have the 40% off guitar hero coupon. The ad advertising it should be in next week's flyer.

The rock band 2 bundle is currently priced at 84.99.

Is there a price limit on the two free used games (say 29.99 and under) with the purchase of a used PS3? Just bought a used PS3 from Gamestop and I still have time to return it if I could get two free games with one...

There is no wii used system bundle. I found that odd as well.

There is no price limit on the used games with system bundle, so go for the best games you can find.

I picked up for the Buy 1 Get 1 free, a copy of :360: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Crackdown for my brother. Good deal for opened, but new games.

Yeah, it was necessary to open them and put them on the A Frame (that's what the $18.99 new/Reserve Now rack is called, since it structurally looks like the letter 'A'). I remember when we didn't. It was around two years ago.. some kids came in, grabbed a handful, and ran out. I had never had a problem before. They managed to get six games or so. I immediately took down the entire rack, gutted them all, and put them back up. There were multiple instances of this in the company at the time, so they made it a requirement to gut the games. It's sad. I hate gutting games.

I should make blogs detailing my crazy customer experiences.. not that theft is anything special, but I've had quite a few special customers in my time, both good and bad.

Are there any PS3 or 360 games that fall under $5?

Used? There's several for the 360.. Forza 2, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Prey, Sega Superstars Tennis, older sports games.. I don't think there's many on PS3, aside from old sports games.

Went to my local (and only) Gamecrazy in San Diego and the supposed 'NEW' $18.99 games have been clearly used and shrink wrapped at the store. Nothing else caught my attention so I left within 5 minutes of being in there.

What a shame.

scorch, are you suppose to print out a receipt everytime someone trades in games? lately, everytime I trade in games without another purchase or preorder they would just tell me my total trade and my new balance in cred and that would be it. out the door I go after that and no receipt. wtf. I feel so unsecure like that and the fact that they know who I am when ever I drop in there.

lol, I also found those gutted $18.99 new games on the racks.

I picked up some of the b1g1 free games. Got

Lunar Knights DS
Heroes of Mana DS
Quatum of Solace 360
Summon Knight Twin Age DS
Castle of Shikigami III Wii

I also picked up Dewy's Adventure for 9.99 and got Rub Rabbits free. These are all games I put off buying when they came out, this made them a lot more reasonable to get.

They also had Front Mission DS and From the Abyss for DS when are decent titles.

While you will have to pay tax (leave it on account and no sales tax) ... I would put the trade in credit on a card, not leave it on account...and yes every trade transaction I have received a register receipt with all the trade details. Good Luck!

Big news, guys. You know how the $15 promos on Black Friday didn't stack with the B1G1?

THIS TIME THEY DO.

That's right- Fight Night Round 4, Wii Music, Animal Crossing: City Folk, Bionic Commando, and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Darkness/Time ALL qualify for the B1G1. So if you were planning on picking one up, why not pick up another, as well? ;P

Copypasta FTW. :3 Care to confirm, Scorch?

EDIT: Also, there are going to be some promotions for next week, too. The employee who rang me up was looking at next week's ad named off a few games, but the only one I recall was "Metroid for $20". Whether that's Trilogy or Corruption, I don't know- but seeing as how they had it for $25 in the fall, I'd say it's Trilogy. :D

They don't stack. Regardless of what they're priced at, like I told you in the other thread, you're jumping the gun yet again. The barcode we scan says it doesn't apply to items on sale. Some stores will force it to stack, but most won't. The promotion is for Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, not Trilogy. I think, anyway - Corruption is pictured, but it says "Regularly $49.99", so it might be Trilogy.. but I would expect it to be Corruption.

Please don't post unless you have confirmed information.

I can confirm that some Game Crazy's DO STACK the $14.99 games on sale this week and give BOGO free. I went in yesterday and purchased Wii Music and Animal Crossing: City Folk for $14.99 each. Showed the employee the ad and the BOGO on games $18.99 or less and he read it and noticed it said 'ALL' games that price or less. No disclaimer on the ad saying sale games were excluded (like on BF). He didn't have the coupon code and proceeded to call another Game Crazy for it. He told me there shouldn't be any problem if the computer lets the coupon code go through. After punching in the coupon code Wii Music ended up being free on my receipt. Employee was real cool about it because I decided to spend my money at Game Crazy instead of somewhere else. Managed to pick up both games for $16.xx after tax. Got 2 gifts for a very good price. Crazy savings!

This was at a Game Crazy in Las Vegas. It may be YMMV for some Game Crazy stores but at least in my experience the BOGO stacked with the $14.99 games.

You just confirmed that it stacked at your Game Crazy which is clearly a YMMV. Scorch has always been 100% on target as he is both a GC employee and a CAG who helps all of us. Like Scorch said, some stores may allow the stack if they force it, but most won't.

If you read my entire post you would notice I mentioned YMMV in my last paragraph. I confirmed it stacked at the store I went to. Never said Scorch wasn't accurate and unhelpful. I am a former GC employee and wouldn't put down any of their employees that were willing to help me out.

Stack wasn't 'forced', employee put in the coupon code (like they are supposed to for this sale according to employee) for BOGO and the computer did all the work and gave me Wii Music free. Guy didn't have to do override of any kind.

It's not supposed to stack. Like I mentioned, some stores will do it, some won't. If you're a former GC employee, then you should know that the coupons pretty much let you do whatever you want. I'm sure the B1G1 would work on $59.99 games if the cashier tried it, but then he'd be out of a job pretty quickly. My point is.. they're not supposed to stack. I also mentioned in the other thread that it says that the games on sale aren't part of the deal on the coupon we scan.

Like I said in the other one.. go to your store and ask. The worse they can say is no. If they say no, don't be a douche, just say "Okay, thanks!" and leave. I've denied people at my store for it because these aren't supposed to apply, but whatever. I'm done arguing about this.

Once again, I apologize. Like I said in the other thread, the employee who rung me up made it sound very official- every deal and price that has been posted on CAG (minus the clearance, of course) has been 100% with what my store has... I didn't have any reason to think it wasn't official. They've always been very good about following company policy. In addition, the manager was right there when he did it- it wasn't like he was slipping me the other game for free.

And to reiterate what I said in the other thread once more, please don't try to take advantage of both promos if you think an employee might get in trouble. A free $15 game isn't worth costing someone their job.

And it's a shame to hear the promo may be on Corruption instead of Trilogy. I think many will agree that the extra $5 towards the Trilogy for the first two games, as well, is a much better deal... Unless you want to hear someone say "Damn!" in a Nintendo game. :p Guess all we can do is wait and find out.

It stacked and the employee was cool about it, I wouldn't have complained if it didn't because I needed one of the games as a gift anyway. When I was an employee for GC 4-5 years ago our coupon codes didn't let us do anything we wanted, if the computer didn't approve it we couldn't apply the coupon. I didn't have the option as an employee back then to override a coupon to apply a discount.

Employee even called another GC in the area to ask for the BOGO coupon code and ask the person on the other end if it's ok to use for the $14.99 games, guy told him there shouldn't be any problem. I would never try to get a GC employee in trouble or fired for a discount especially around the holidays. If you say the coupon doesn't stack, I believe you. I just posted that in at least the GC I go to I was able to stack the $14.99 game with BOGO.

Simple as that. No one here is trying to say you're wrong or that you're not helpful. If you didn't put up the list of sales I wouldn't have thought of checking out GC.

I think it's just semantics running amok here. I just got back from my GC and asked if they would apply the B1G1F barcode to FNR4 and Pokemon. They checked the price and said no problem so I bought them.

So I think what Scorch is saying is that the INTENT is that the sale price and B1G1F shouldn't stack based on the rules on the B1G1F code. However, as some, including me, have experienced, the computer will allow it to stack if you can get your employee to scan the barcode.

There is the following deal on http://www.gamecrazy.com/other/promotions.aspx

Bundles That Save You a Bundle!

* Used DS Lite & any 2 used DS games $99.99
* Used PS2 & any 2 used PS2 games $49.99.
* Used Xbox 360 & any 2 used Xbox 360 games $159.99.

Do you know what they mean by Used Xbox 360? What I mean is do they take in the system separate from the hard drive that the model in this deal would be just the arcade? Also I know it says ANY 2 used games but does that really mean that? Seems a little too good to be true, seeing as I could get 2 used games that trade in for $30 each in store credit and walk out with MW2 and a used console for $160+tax.

Thanks for all of your work.

M1C13 - accidentally posted this in the other thread.

The $159.99 is assuming you pick up a core model. There are different pricing structures for different models (for example, I think the deal is $199.99 if you pick up a used 20GB). There is no limit to the used game.. if they have it in stock, it applies to the deal. There's no limitation to the pricing structure for the used game to apply to the deal.

I sold a used X360 core yesterday with used copy of Assassin's Creed 2 and a used Halo 3 ODST to the guy for $159.99 + tax.. he was extremely happy.

Just a reminder, B2G1F on used games starts tomorrow!!!

BUY 2 GET 2 FREE on ALL used PS2 and Gamecube games

Valid 12/20 - 1/3

I'm going to check that out tomorrow. The GC here sucks horribly so if I can find 4 worthwhile used ps2 or gamecube games at the game crazy here I will be extremely amazed but I will check. Although once in a blue moon I have found a few really nice deals there..probably about twice a year so maybe that makes up for other times.

Yeah, the selection can be pretty slim, but the prices when they do have some can truely make the wait worth while.

Pikmin 2 for $13 and Phantasy Star Online Ep 1 and 2 for 10$, both complete. Made my day.
