Game tournament Ideas

So today, I coordinated a Smash bros brawl Tournament in the school with single elimination and random names go in a hat. I was wondering what games would be good for another tournament?? How would you set a CoD or a Halo tournament?

If we're talking college you're bound to find Counter-Strike, Starcraft and Street Fighter players that would be willing to participate in a local tournament.

If it's younger kids I'd stick with the more casual titles though (CoD, Halo etc...). I assume you know how to make brackets if you did a brawl tourny, I think those should work for about anything...
