Merge it with the BF thread, I don't care, but I wanted to go ahead and post this and get it out there. Sorry if it's already been posted. Kinda weak BF ad except for Vegas.

I don't know if the used price will go down too. It probably will, it did last year. If it goes down, then all 19.99 new games will be 14.99

They also had my Zelda bundle when I went in on Wednesday, but I could not sell it to me.

Looking at the ad, the DS bundles have the 12 free Hollywood Video rentals symbol next to it. At the bottom of the page the deal is "12 Free Rentals At Hollywood Video with purchase of a select game console See Stores for Details Free rentals good on any games or movies."

So if the DS is considered a game console then the "Buy 1 Used Game, Get 1 Free with a console purchase" deal should apply. If that does, my GameCrazy had a used Super Paper Mario and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, so hopefully I could get those two for $37.99.

Oooh, I completely forgot about the 12 rental coupon thing. I know they used to give them with DS's, but maybe not any more. They gimped them anyway because when I got a set a year ago they were good for any movie or game rentals (including new next-gen stuff) and then when I got another set with my Elite in April they were only good for movies and "game vault" rentals (ie, PS2, Gamecube, Xbox). I've mostly used them for movies anyway though so I'll take 'em ;). I also didn't consider possibly using the B1G1 with a system purchase. Not sure I can find 2 games I want though...

Just to clear some stuff up, if you get a Zelda (or any DS Bundle) it counts as "current gen" and does qualify you for the 12 free rentals sheet. Also, you also get a sheet of pretty sweet coupons that start on Christmas day when you buy a system. To answer aspects question: Yes, you do get buy one get one on used games. The BOGO is only good on two games though- one game you are purchasing and the free game that goes with it.
Also as a FYI the systems dropped in price. PS2's are $49.99 (fat) $79.99 (slim), Xbox's are $49.99, and the Gamecubes stayed at $39.99 - but you might be able to get your GC to price match Gamestop's price on the Cubes at $29.99.
Hope this helps out

Yes, but are they the good coupons they gave out a year ago or the not-so-good coupons they were giving out 6 months ago. Ie, the first set was good for ANY rental while the second was not good on new release games (including ALL Xbox 360). What are they giving out now? It doesn't make much difference to me as I'm getting the Zelda bundle at GC anyway, but to others it might make a difference over getting it somewhere else.

And what is in the other set of coupons? I know when I bought a Wii there a year ago they gave me a pretty nice sheet (in addition to the free rentals) that had additional discounts off used games and additional trade-in bonus coupons. Those were nice.

Thanks for the info! I just wasn't sure if GameCrazy's definition of a "console purchase" would actually include handheld systems. I could see some places saying DS Lites and PSPs were handhelds so therefore they are not consoles.

Also I could see some places saying I could not get Wii games with a DS Lite purchase.

I guess I really should have asked my friend who was working there Wednesday but they had to go through all the boxes for the Black Friday sale and got a phone call every minute that I was there.

Well I got the DS bundle today but I was told that the B1G1 free games had to be for the corresponding system (I wanted Wii games.) I would try and argue that the ad does not state this but I was talking to the manager.

Also I got the 12 month coupons but have a question that I noticed later. The coupons state Game Vault games. Is this what Hollywood Video calls their entire game section to distinguish it from GameCrazy games or is it what they call their older last generation games. Hopefully it is the former so I can rent some Wii games.

It covers older games for the systems. Basically all the GC & Xbox games have been converted to the Game Vault section. Some of the 360 games have been moved to it, but haven't seen any PS3 or Wii games in the Game Vault section yet.

AARGH! That makes me mad because the ad says "Free rentals good on any games or movies." I don't think there are any GameCube games I would want to rent so if I keep the coupons I guess I will have to rent new release movies.

So I cannot get B1G1 Wii games nor do I get the good coupons where I can rent any games. Those were the reasons I decided to stick with my preorder instead of getting it from Amazon late last night.

Picked up GRAW2 (new) for $14.99 at my local GC. There were two of them, both priced the same.
My $19.99 copy from BB is going back.

I may have to check here...anyone know what Hour of Victory there is USED? I know new it said $20. Looking for some flipping deals :)

GRAW2 for $15 is a nice price. I believe I finished the single player during a rental, but online should still be ok for it.

Nothing was ringing up yesterday at my GC, they didn't even know about half the deals I had to show them the ad ^_^. They sad the GRAW2 for 14.99 was most likley a mis-print, so I got a used copy for 14.99. blah and they couldnt do b2g1f on it since it was price adjusted.
