The GameCrazy website has a new message up. It says:

"Welcome, our friends! Where have we been? In the coming days and weeks, we will be making some exciting new announcements with special offers to our loyal customers. Until then, check out or Holiday offers in our online store! Shop Now!"

Now, this is very interesting. I never did a ton of GameCrazy shopping, but I know that a lot of CAGs did. When clicking the link to their online store though, it's just links to Amazon of all places.

We'll see if anything comes of this.

It looks like somebody bought the old domain and then thought it would be a good idea to link to their Amazon Marketplace page where they're selling Twilight toys and Christmas Story leg lamps. I didn't see a video game thing in the first five pages of their marketplace thing.

EDIT: That's not somebody's store. That's NECA's category on Amazon. Did NECA do this to drum up sales? This is what it currently links to. http://www.amazon.com/s?_encoding=UTF8&node=165793011&field-brandtextbin=NECA

NECA bought out the domain for Gamecrazy. The 10 for $30 sale they had a couple of weeks back was legit if anyone remembers that. I ordered a couple of things and they arrived the other day.

Same here. I mostly bought action figures and they were all shipped by NECA. I thought it was odd that the headshot locust action figure was available for $3

That might be some of what I ordered ;). Surprisingly, their HQ is about 20 minutes away from me. I wonder what other goodies they have there.

They just bought all the domain names associated with Movie Gallery (moviegallery.com, hollywoodvideo.com, gamecrazy.com, reel.com). Their lease on the domain ends in April of 2011. I don't think it's NECA that owns it, there's just a link to their products on the page. It's very weird.

I assure you, they're not coming back.

Also, what 3 for $30 sale!? I LOVE NECA figures :(

The only thing I really liked about Game Crazy was how they discounted their guides by 50% instead of instantly pulling them off the shelves. I'd be more than happy to grab guides at $10 instead of $20.

There weren't any special figures other than the Headshot locust on sale. That was the only good one unless you wanted some Edward Twilight figures :p. They did have some cool 300, RE5 and Watchmen lighters though. I bought one of each.

lol
Ha, it's sad but my wife would probably buy it.

She doesn't understand my gaming, I don't understand her obsession with Twilight.
Lol, my guess was going to be that Tiger Direct bought the name out.
Yeah because we all know how well their version of Circuit City has been.... FTL.

Is that the one with the blood splattering everywhere? I want that one.
