It wasn't listed in the ad. I'll post if it goes down in the POS, but it looks like it may stay 59.99.

Also lame and worth noting: They upped the used price on COD4 to 54.99 on both the 360 and PS3, and upped the used price of Army of Two to 54.99 (though the used AoT on PS3 is still 49.99).

I wonder if this is the standard edition, or the Gold version? Not that I really care that much, since I want both games! I just picked up COD4 from TRU and nearly bought a used copy of COD3. Now the question will be if I can find a GameCrazy that has both in stock on Monday!
 
The Darkness at that price is a steal. I really enjoyed the story and most of the gameplay, except a certain flashback sequence. Nuff said.

Meh, mine is I borrowed CoD4 from a friend and beat the single player and loved it. Though didn't play it online and I think I maybe missing a BIG part of the experience in doing so...
 
Nice deals! I'll probably pick up The Darkness for $15 and Call of Duty 3/4 for $40. I already have COD4, but I'll trade the one I buy on Goozex and get 2 or 3 games for it in return. A lot of people are looking for it on there so I'm sure someone will appreciate receiving a sealed copy.
 
As someone who didn't buy COD4 when it came out (and as someone who returned his copy to Fry's when he saw the $39.99 sale this week at TRU), I'll jump all over COD4 and COD3 for $40. Hopefully I'll find a GC with both in stock. :)

I can totally see the asses that work at GC saying:

"Sorry, its a price mistake. its supposed to be 59.99 and the free COD3. See how the PS3 says 59.99?"

not much of a deal for A. Creed should be 29.99 already I remember bestbuy had it for 39.99 a few months back along with the $10 of any ps3 game.

1. too bad it isnt COD2 they are giving away instead of 3, heard too many bad things about the campaign mode for that one in comparison

thanks! I did this same deal back when COD4 came out w/CC. Traded COD4 on goozex and returned COD3 to CC for a full refund... I just started playing COD4 again and love it, again... Online is so freaking fun. Might have to pick these up.

COD3 has some pretty broken/flat out buggy places in the campaign which were a real pain in the butt playing on Veteran.

I kept dying at one corner in a trench and couldn't figure out what was going on since it seemed like I was getting hit from the side, which was a wall! Once I got past that point, it turned out that there was a U-bend in the trench, and there was a group of enemies just across from me on the other side of the U in the trench that were shooting me _through_ the trench walls! Probably not that big a deal on normal difficulties, but when you're constantly dying from what seems like random hits it gets pretty annoying. There were a few places in the game with similar problems. =(

That said, there were some really awesome sections and it was definetely worth playing! I'm glad that I only rented it first, but this will be the perfect way to get it and play through again!

I saw Marvel Ultimate Alliance for Wii at CC for $20. Would have got it, but after beating it once on xbox i lost interest in that game.

The used copies of the Darkness are currently 14.99/13.49 with MVP, so I doubt they will go lower. If they do, it'll be either 12.99 or 9.99. I'd assume the former rather than the latter.

The trade-in value of COD4 on the X360 has temporarily dropped to 20.. this is because used copies of the game will be 34.99/31.49 used starting Monday morning.

COD4 on the PS3 is either 33 with MVP or 30 with MVP. Not sure. I don't think it went down.

Assassin's Creed LE will not be on sale.

It's probably limited to the stock on hand, but there may be additional stock. They may even have us give away the used copies of COD3.. every store seems to have a TON of used COD3.

I remember bestbuy had it for 39.99 a few months back

This is the third time we've had it on sale at 39.99. At least. Maybe the fourth. I don't remember.

As far as it being the COD3 Gold edition, it's just the standard, though I'm sure the system wouldn't stop you if the employee rang through the gold edition. I'm pretty sure it's not under a different SKU (but Marvel Ultimate Alliance is), so ask if they have the gold edition when you get your free COD3.

God, I can already see this becoming a nightmare, with employees unable to find coupons or not believing the customer or something.
 
just got back and the clerk guy said the sale starts monday i saw the ad its true and it is 33 for ps3 cod 4 with mvp i asked

Yeah, I was pretty shocked when I called yesterday. Ended up trading it in to GS for Vegas 2.

So in the OP it says that COD4 and 3 are only available on the 16th - 22nd. Well, that is today. Why is everyone saying monday? Sucks that they aren't on the PS3, I plan to buy them and flip them to GR to get COD for the PS3.
