Deal started today (Friday). Signage was everywhere. Used games selection at my store is pretty weak / decrepid (sp?). However, if there was any credit remaining, it goes on your account.
 
Tried to take advantage of this and got shafted. Can't be used in conjunction with the Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal or even the MVP card. $10 is only towards used games.

Course the B2G1 deal can be used to get more games for more trading in later. All the games at my GC with that deal are $4.49 (with MVP card) so for $9+tax you get 3 games which means you get 6 games for $18+tax which would equate to $30+trade-in value. So there is some good to come of this.

You have to use the credit towards a used game that day. I fully plan to use my $28 and get a new release used game for around $15. Will probably be POP:WW, but I can't justify spending that much on it, so I might get something else.

No 10$ bonus mentioned, and they are giving me 2.75 or something per Primal.

Really? Mine has a huge sign on the window and a huge thing in the store explaining it, even the placemat on the counter has it on there.

Surely this isn't YMMV?

Not sure, perhaps this is a college town and these damn kids are trying to screw me over.
 
I was going to take advantage of this deal, but in the store I found out it sucked big time. Use it on only used games? Strike one. Use credit right now? Strike two. Only once per day? Strike three, you're out.
 
Check this out. I went today. I had some crappy games i bought off a friend for 4 bucks each. Well game crazy gave me a total of 8 bucks credit then they added 10 dollars to it. i had 18 bucks to purchase a used game. i told him i wanted a gift certificate but he said it has to be used on a game. also i brought 2 other games but he said it was once a day thing. So i grabbed a copy of wild arms 3 which is like 11 dollars and now i have 7 bucks sitting in my account. tommorrow i'll go back, and i'll put like 15 in plus the 7 i had and i'll probably pick up MvC2 that they had in stock for like 23 bucks(i think). and i think that aint bad. i think i just might trade it off too. i already have it for dreamcast.
 
I went to trade in 2 games today the guy working said it had to be 2 ps2, xbox , or cube games. And I brought in 1 PS2 a 1 xbox game so the deal wasn't good anyone else had this problem?
 
Really? At mine, it works for any used product in the store. Trade in two of any next gen game or accessory (ymmv), get $10 bonus credit. Read the fine print.. it says that the games must be GC, XB or PS2, but the "credit must be used on used items only".. it doesn't say used PS2, XB or GC games.. it just says used items. I asked about this, and he said yeah, anything used.

I don't have to buy a used product over $10, either. Maybe that's how i'll get around this deal. Use this deal, pick up a 1.99 or 2.99 Dreamcast game, store the credit. That's interesting. Thanks for the idea..

You're welcome. I try to deter anyone from buying merchandise from them. Hope I helped a few of you realize what you were doing when you could easily go to an EB and get the same deal without a bunch of bullshit being crammed down your throat.

So, there bad because there deal has some restrictions? What about when they don't? Last I checked, EB dosn't pricematch others trade in prices, nor gives an extra 10% when trading in, nor do they give 12 free rentals with a new/used system purchase. Still evil though, right?
 
I still prefer GameCrazy. In fact, I'm heading over later this afternoon to trade in 2 more. I did have to trade in 2 like-system games, and had to use the credit that day....but their prices and trade-in values are more competitive imho.

My boss thought Fight Club was the best game ever.
