8/20/08 changes:

Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness:
The plush chicken pre-order bonus has been delayed. The item is currently in transport to the United States and has not cleared customs. The item will arrive 7-10 days after the game's launch.

Mirror's Edge:
The gift with purchase has been changed to a free t-shirt.

Lego Batman:
The original promotion provided a set of keychains to customers. However, due to the large number of pre-orders on this title, the publisher cannot produce enough keychains to meet demand. Pre-order customers will now receive ONE villain keychain of their choice, subject to availability on hand.

I hate the GC around my area and wouldn't trust them to keep the freebies for customers. On the night of the Halo 3 launch, they created a faster line for people that were willing to preorder other games. Because of this, we only saw 5 people actually come out within half an hour since they were busy getting all the address info for the preorder. We ended up buying the game at WalMart.

Sorry, had to vent.
 
Hey guys, don't cancel your Contra 4 preorders yet. The game comes with the original Contra and Super C, so it's still a good deal.

And is it only Game Crazy?[/quote]Appears to be EB/GS, and Target according to someone on GAF. And it's available when you pick it up. It appears you get an empty case or some other contraption when you put down your deposit.

And Contra 4 was rumored to include the classic Contras a while ago, but I haven't heard anything concrete since.
 
I have a feeling that the SMG coin will be packaged with all of the first shipments. Especially since so many places are advertising it.

I hope I am not screwed outta this next week when I pick up my game.
 
Well, I picked up my copy of Naruto: Rise of a Ninja for Xbox360 today at GameCrazy. The clerk told me it was a mail in offer & that it was inside the package.

So I opened the game at the counter & only the manual was inside. The clerk was stumped & has no idea where or to who I should mail my proof of purchase to for the free faceplate.


I left my name & number behind incase he found the info out in 24hours, but so far NO FACEPLATE.

Same story at my local GameCrazy. "Noclueitis" from the clerks. They said we'll give you a call when we find something out. I want my faceplate!

I am now being told it is NOT a FACEPLATE, just a sticker you put on your existing faceplate.

Gamecrazy salesperson at first said it was a faceplate a month ago when they were doing pre-orders but now it looks like it is one of those sticker/skinz things that never apply correctly.

Other then that, I still do not know nor does GameCrazy know how one gets the sticker as no one knows detailed info on the mail in offer for the skinz.

I am just going to bring my Naruto back as I thought I was getting a faceplate with it. The game is cheaper at Best Buy for me with the 10% off coupon plus I get reward zone points for buying it.

Oh well. I was looking forward to a faceplate too as I still got the plain old white one.

Yeah, I'm tempted for the shirt as well. I didn't know GS had one, I'll have to check that out. Blockbuster has some nice ones for sale (a nice kids one for just $9.99). I might just rent the game there (for free via Coke Rewards) and buy a shirt though - much cheaper than preordering ;).
 
I don't know anything more than I post. Since they're pre-order gifts, I would expect them to come in when the game does so the people that pre-order and buy the game will get the gift.
If some come in, i'll try to get pictures of them to show you guys.

Actually I only wanted the shirt because if you order from GameStop it says the shirt comes with a code for a Mola Ram character. Well it did say that, there's no mention of the shirt on the website anymore. If the shirt has the same code, or there's no code at all I can ignore it. Does anyone know how good Game Crazy is with preorder bonuses? I might preorder Alone in the Dark but only if I can get the lighter.

I think the store connected to my HV has a bunch of those left, alone w/ the Homer stress ball from the Simpsons game, the Castlevania figure and Halo 3 lanyards lol

Harvest moon dolls always makes me happy I'm getting the new DS one and Wii game anyways too bad the GC in my area closed hopefully GS do the same deal.

Updated. Free AitD zippo is lame. It's shiny and says Alone in the Dark on the front.. but when you lift the part up so you can put lighter fluid in it, engraved on it is "this is not a zippo".. what the hell?

Anything for Tales of Vesperia? I know it is kind of early still. I preordered it at GC yesterday but I forgot to ask about any bonus - plus I figure they would just tell me they have no idea. That's what they usually tell me even after you have confirmed the GC preorder bonus ;).

Because they were probably all given out before the game came out. The bonus kits came in like three months ago for some reason. You didn't miss much, just a happy face keychain.

Ok, than it is a weird fake in the the shape of a lighter. I never got around to getting the snake bandannas, but I might get some of the MGS4 art books. Scorch, did you guys have any left over???
 
We didn't get art books in. The "snake bandannas" were solid colored bandanas, no design or anything.. maybe that was an error or something, but that's all we ever got. Weird.
