I decided to make one thread and every time I receive a list of price drops, or someone PM's me a list or whatever, I will update the OP. This list has a new format as of 6/30/07. These are the prices that they will ring up at the register, despite what the sticker price says. I hope this new format is easier to read for you.

The price format is as follows: new/used. Example: 19.99/14.99.. 20 new, 15 used. If the price has --, it means the price was not changed. Example: Madden 07 --/14.99 means that the new price was not changed.

MVP Pricing Guide! If the used price is the price on the left, the price on the right is what the price would be with MVP!

Some of its a little misleading. Unless they took them under a different sku, wireless controllers and headsets usually don't trade in.. but we've had a few of the logitech ones come back in.. I think my store still has some e-readers, i'm going to try to get one.
 
I'd kill to find a GT Force Wheel at that price, but I realize the chance of that is 0.001%

you know I would LOVE to get on this, however last time I went into a GC and asked to see what PSX games they had on clearance, they were giving me shit and DIDN'T WANT to let me see what they had...WTF?!?!?!?
 
Wow, finally a reason to stop back at my Gamecrazy, hopefully I can pick up a ton of stuff even though I really need none of it, but at $2 each I don't think I can refuse!

yes. but GC doesn't take headsets back used unless the employee took it under some random sku. So best of luck to you for finding a used headset.
 
By the way, I just want to be sure: this clearance is supposed to be going on right now, correct? I'm going to check my local GC today anyway, though. :)
 
best of luck all. our local gamecrazy cleaned out all of this stuff months ago and either destoryed it or sent it back

i remember asking about PS1 memory cards back in july and they said

LOL PS1 hell we dont even have enough room to stock this gen stuff. all older stuff was dumped at the last Classic sale

It's not really a clearance per se, but yes, all the prices are active. They have to be. No store can open their computers without downloading and applying the latest price drops.

Slidecage, chill. It should be in the store by Friday.

Read the list guys. It's not normal PS2 controllers. It's not the normal dual shock stuff. And no, once again, it's not YMMV. The ONLY dual shock controller listed on the list is a grey one, and that's probably one compatible with PS1. So if you're trying for normal dual shock ones, it's not going to work. The dual shocks are not 1.99, they aren't on the list.

I checked the Contr Wireless Action (Logitech) for PS2 it is still $19.99. Or you mean the original big one, which takes 4 AA batteries? The latest model which only requires 2 AAs rings up as $19.99

I'm assuming it was used? I'm just going by what the barcodes said in the system. It may be an older model, I dunno. It's not possible for a price list to be YMMV, so it's probably the older model.

Kinda like the same way GC dropped used Wavebirds to 2.99, but it was apparently for the very very first model and no one had that one.
 
I made the trip out today to check both GC's in town. The one on Maplecrest had very little stuff. I passed on one of those ereaders. I thought about it, but I really didn't need it. I did pick up a N64 memory expansion pack for $2. I always wanted one of those.

The one on Dupont had nothing worth picking up.

Yes, it is used. I guess you are right, it probablly is the old version.

LOL you should know by now i like to #$#$#$ when i dont get something

will check back on friday i guess .... its just the person i spoke to on the phone just pissed me off with their attitude ... mind this was the same person who told me when i preorder for a Fact it would be in OCT 30 and now they act like it isnt a big deal that peoples orders havent came in..... I asked them to check when they will get it and they go

WE get it when we get it there is no way to check

also Hell this person is still pushing the ROCK BAND BUNDLES when they been sold out weeks ago .

best buy just got theirs in today... raise hands if your shocked best buy is stocking this I know i am.

if i wanted to be mean i could buy it off bb today and take my gc one back to bb HEH HEH but doubtful i do it since i dont feel like driving to best buy today and i got E.oddsey ds to keep me buzzy now i beat the evil floor 20
 
I went to the only GC left in my area (4 other has closed down within a year)... and was hoping to find some PS2/PS1 memory cards... of course they had none...

but then after checking the racks I found a freaken GUNCON2 and it rang up $1.99 (price tag was $19.99) so the GC dude was shocked... lol... I told him it's a clearance.. he was clueless but the other dude there knew and I got it $2+tax...

Thanks, OP! I grabbed a bunch of GC memory cards, a Pelican wireless GC controller, a MadCatz mini GC controller, and an X-Box LightGun - the same day I found two more WaveBirds, so most of this stuff might be going up for trade. ;)
 
Well, I found zip at my local GC yesterday. Much sadness; they had several used memory cards, but none of them were on sale.

wow i went to gc asked the guy for a used ps2 controller, which they have hanging everywhere yea, 14.99 wtf. they had so many used accesories full price, weak.

if they dont ready on the computer screen people already paid for games , i doubt they will read a stand alone list.

i had to tell them 20 mins friday that I already paid for disgaea even though they charged me 80 bucks for it off my credit

40 bucks for the preorder and another 40 when i picked it up.

i had to wait for a manager to come in to cash out the preorder to put the other 40 back on my account. Doing so they FINALLY FOUND my Preorders for the First nintendo ds systems (the fat grey ones) and

Finally credited my account 50 bucks

i told them for over a year i put 25 bucks down on those NINTNEDO DS systems but they said they never found anything in their systems ... LOL now what 3 years after they come out they find my 50 bucks.

probally buy DQM Joker and another DS games out of the newly found 50

also even though i was told Since OCT 30 since the game didnt come in i would get 5 bucks knocked off my game THey never took 5 bucks off it. I didnt compalin that much since they found 50 bucks in the system they owed me from years ago . since they did that much digging into my account i figured they could keep the 5 off : )


They said there is a chance JOKER will come in tuesday

do you know if your store is getting them in Tuesday or is this game going to be another FRIDAY release

Wow, CoD 2 might be worth $5 for the achiev.. another playthrough. I own the PC version, but playing through it again would be fun. Thanks.

The bastards at one GC I went to (the one that screwed up my gift card I told you about, Scorch) wouldn't give me the trade-in price match guarantee on Forza to GR's $32 (after a lengthy phone consultation with their store manager) because "it was going to have a universal price drop shortly" so they only offered me $22.50 for it. When the guy called Blockbuster to verify the Forza trade price he was arguing with them that the game doesn't even cost that much new so how could they offer that much for it :roll:. Now I see that they bump it themselves to $40 new. So, sure, the $32 trade-in is still high but not outrageous (and mine was mint and a regular retail version with case/insert/manual and not from the pack-in games, so it ought to sell OK). I bet they bumped it up because the Forza/MUA packs are running low and newer 360's don't have them. In any case, I went to another store later and got the $32 no problem. The guy there even said he was going to take some Forzas to Blockbuster and trade them in.

But what's funny is the first store had no problem matching GR's $28.50 on this game:

Many of our customers have traded in the Marvel/Forza packs right after getting their system. We trade them in seperate. We have 15+ copies of Forza! :dunce:

Yeah, I figured there would be a lot of "used" copies of these games floating around. But in the long run the game will not be as common (with the pack-in being discontinued) so I could see that as the reason the price is bumped back up. But yeah, short term, there's probably loads of "used" Forza inventory to sell ;).
 
i asked about the bonus 20% for tradeins when signing up for an mvp card and i got a huge go screw yourself. is that dealio over?

man those gamecrazy coupons sort of suck

buy 2 get 1 free is just on ps2 xbox and cube games. i had 3 ds games and had to put them all down...


is gamecrazy allow not to honor coupons? i got those Entertainment book coupons 20% off any used game. The worker goes .


They was never to be printed and wont accept them

called up entertainment and they said they had to take them so what do i do now
 
I'm guessing that Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon are just temporary price drops for the New Year Deals. Blue Dragon will probably go back to $40 (so still a drop, but it will match everywhere else) and Eternal Sonata will go back up to $60.

When I first saw this I was kind of bummed. I have been thinking of selling Eternal Sonata since I'm almost done with my second trip through the game, but if the new price dropped $20 I wouldn't bother selling it. It's sad that JRPGs don't seem to sell well on the 360. I may just wait for Lost Odyssey to drop if it's going to drop a few months after it hits and just pick up Blue Dragon to work on instead.
 
Yeah, i've gotten word that all of the games on sale went back to up from $19.99 to $59.99.. I'm thinking that The Darkness was one of them. I'll let you guys know, and in the meantime, i'm pulling all of the price drops I posted yesterday down.

I stoppd by a GameCrazy and they said CoD2 was at $14.99 (the showed me the price changes and it was listed that day at going to $14.99).

And I'm also confused as to why there's no list. Whatever.

It confused me that you put the prices up but they changed back in 12 hours. I figured you would have changed the thread to title at least to no longer say "CoD2 $4.99", hence adding to mass confusion. I hurt myself in my confusion.
