Here is a list of $18.99 new games that dropped. I am not posting the used price either because it's unavailable on the sheet I have or it hasn't changed, but in most cases, it'll be $17.99 or $14.99. The big deal for the $18.99 new games is because GC periodically runs a B2G1F or B1G1F on $18.99 new games and people always complain because the $18.99 games are pretty shitty, but there's actually a lot of great new additions to the $18.99 new category. If the price is lower than $18.99, it will be noted. If the price is $18.99, nothing will be listed. And here we go!

I'm sure this has been asked somewhere before- but how do these prices work at Hollywood video stores without Gamecrazy?

If theres a gamecrazy in that store, that means its a gamecrazy store, lol. Hes talking about the hollywood/movie gallery stand alones, and normally i dont think the sales translate since when hollywood was doing the $29.99 used for $4.99, GC did not do those. But I will wait until Scorch gives you the actual answer.

actually, at my store it has fluctuated.

7 weeks ago it went from 29.99 back to 39.99
4 weeks ago it went from 39.99 to 59.99
2 weeks ago it went from 59.99 to 49.99

and now its back to 29.99.

My local Game Crazy has a couple of Guitar Hero II bundles that still ring up for original price . . been waiting for them to drop cuz there hidden & has a lot of dust on them. Does anyone know if these will ever drop??

Do you know if there have been any drops in the Halo Wars LE? I don't even know if my local store has any left, but if there hasn't, the regular edition seems good enough!
 
Infinite undiscovery is a great game for 7.99 in case anyone is wondering. I got it new for 9.99 during best buys sale and it was the best of the bunch that i only picked up because i though what the hell.

i picked it up also. played a few minutes and got stuck near the beginning of game by some stone door with snakes and bats engravings. haven't played since. it is a good game, but just stuck and i'm slow.

Hmmm... when I look at GameCrazy prices, I also factor in the ten minutes I'll have to say no when the clerk tries to hard sell me on MVP, game guard, the used version, etc., and I'll have to say no fifteen times to each one.
 
Saints Row 2 is 29.99 new, 24.99 used. No difference in pricing between CE and Regular.

The gameguard doesn't really matter in terms of rank any more, so you shouldn't get hustled much for it anymore..

and if it wasn't enough to get hustled for MVP, GG's, used version, strategy guides, and preorders, today they added a form that prompted us to ask the customer if they want to receive e-mail updates! arrrggghhh
 
You know...$99 for RB2 set might be worth it...even though I have RB1 instruments, the idea of having everything be wireless might be too good to pass up.

The game is AMAZING at just $10. I havnen't played the game for a very long time so sorry if my description is very vague. You have to enchant the bat and snake with the little blue kid and then bring them to the gate and sacrifice them. You have to do it one by one.
 
I saw around six GTA4 SE at GC for $25. I even saw a Prey SE! Sadly Soul Calibur 4 SE was still $40.

For all you who get the hard sell for MVP. You might ask for a bribe. Once I got a free copy of Ocarina of time (NGC) when I bought a MVP, I was offered a t-shirt and other stuff on other occasions. Of course YMWV.
 
I wonder if there was any good psp drops? I've been waiting for Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth to drop, but its been stuck at $30 for awhile now.

Went to Game Crazy today and saw GTA IV 360 SE and the kid told me it was $59.99. Is it possible he just didn't know it dropped? I asked him to scan it but he said he was shocked it even dropped that far and he was sure.

This was the first time I ever bought anything at a Game Crazy and was pissed he kept selling me on junk I didn't want. I don't have a lot of patience and used to hate it at Gamestop but they seem to have eased off on it. All they ask me now is if I want to preorder anything. Is the idea of Hollywood Video to annoy the customer? If I want it I will ask for it thanks.
 
At $19, I say its worth it. If you can find it used, go for it. $20 would be my break point to buy it. Its pretty much Assassin's Creed, but better or worse is your opinion.

well I just posted that it dropped to $19.99 new.. the limited editions never had their own separate SKU, so yeah, if the store has any left, the LE's are $19.99 new since they're in there the same as regular editions
