These sale prices are "for the next few weeks", according to the memo. Trade-in prices have already been brought down, as Condemned and Sega Superstar Tennis both trade in at $17.xx. This is not YMMV, all stores have these prices in their POS as of this morning. Even if it says the wrong price on the wall, it will ring up as the sale price.

Yet the only fucking Sega game I want isn't on sale.. The Club. BAH!

Can a mod change the topic title to "GameCrazy Sega Sale" and update the OP with my information?

Good luck on getting Viking -- most stores were sent 2-3 copies. Same with Sega Superstar Tennis. Condemned 2 shouldn't be too terribly hard to get ahold of, though.

I probably won't be going to the post office again until next week, but if you'd like it for $45 shipped I'll send it your way then (that's $38.05 after tax + $3 mailing + $3.95 gas/convenience fee)

that would definitely help. There is a GC a little out of the way where I live, so giving them a call just now they told me Condemned 2 is 59.99. Now I'm just debating whether I should just go there and have them scan it in front of me...

Picked up Condemned 2 (PS3) earlier this afternoon. After about 15 minutes of the cashier trying to pitch all the specials my way (that game card, preorder MGS4, disc protection thing), I was out the door.

I work in retail, so I know what it is like, I was nice about it, declined everything, but let him talk.

Didn't realize until I got home that he did indeed add $3 for the disc warranty, kind of mad about that, but whatever.

But is Viking a good game? If so, I might have to go back in the morning. Will probably just eat the 3 bucks, more hassle than its worth to get it refunded probably.

Now only if Sega will get around to patching the audio!!!
 
Just came back from picking up my copy after calling a bunch of stores to confirm (I thought about Viking, but in the end just got Condemned 2). Needless to say, the guy was surprised that it rung up at that price.

Haha yea, I heard the schpeel too...I must have nodded/shook my head so much that the guy working there also managed to squeeze in the $3 before I knew what was going on.
 
I work at Game Crazy and this IS NOT BS.... PS3 & 360 versions are $34.99 new and $29.99 used. I don't know if this is a price error in the computer, but I didn't get any memos to tell me otherwise. So, I've been selling them at those prices all day today. We are only down to 1 new PS3 version.
And, I repeat, This is not an Apr il Fool's Joke!

It's basically a Hi-Def Spartan: Total Warrior....but with Norse mythology swapped in for Greek. Same dev team and all. I loved Spartan, actually. To me, it's the Dynasty Warriors concept done right.:applause:

I dunno...the guy I was on the phone with couldn't find anything else at that time. And HotD is great fun, especially John Woo style with 2 Nyko Perfect Shots. Also, as an HD TV owner, it's nice to be able to enjoy HotD, period!

Yeah, its funny that if a game is on sale, especially if it is discounted as much as it is, it really impedes your judgement skills. A game that I would have *never* thought about buying looks pretty damn tempting.

From what I understand though, its supposed to be pretty cool. Some kind of God of War/Heavenly Sword clone. But with 100+ enemies on screen.

I keep debating it, something that would probably just be a rental to me. But I am ultimately going to have to pass on Viking**, GT5:prologue is coming out in 2 weeks, and GTA5 at the end of the month...

I just created a game in my head called World War Zero that features the Spartans, vikings, Genghis Khan's and Hannibal's troops, and a handful of others in a crazy all-out melee combat game. It would naturally be a quick price-dropper, but it would be insane, brutal fun for several hours.

I dont have the full list or prices but just to clear up some confusion the sale started today and will last a couple weeks.
stores were sent an email close to closing time so they probably didnt check the messages

I picked up Condemned 2 tonight after reading this thread for PS3 for $34.99 even (no tax in Oregon). I thought about Viking which was also on sale for the same price but after reviewing the metacritic scores I decided to pass on it.

Yeah the only place I found when I searched that was within an hour of Boston was one in RI. Oh well maybe Target will have a good deal on these games soon.
 
I think it's great, but then again I really enjoyed the first one.

In part 2, the fighting system has been overhauled for the better... and you still get to beat the crap out of insane homeless people. Very gritty.

I got it at Fry's for 39.99 and it was worth every penny.

First off, I know I've been soft-warned about this but there's no sub-forum for trading on this specific deal so having said that, I just wanna help out.

Specifically for CAGs without a GameCrazy in their region, I picked up an extra:

1x 360 Condemned 2
1x PS3 Condemned 2
 
I just called my local GameCrazy and the manager told me that it's currently a 'Sega Sale.' He let me know that Sega Superstar Tennis is currently 29.99 for the 360 and PS3 and that Mario and Sonic Olympics is also the same price for the Wii. I'm guessing the list goes on but I'm currently at work... so not a lot of time to ask.
 
Confirmed. The guy let me see the sale e-mail while I was there and it is indeed a sega sale. There were about a dozen games on the list including duplicates for multi-platform titles, but condemned 2, mario and sonic, tennis, and hotd 2/3 are all on sale officially and there might have been some others, but I wasn't interested and I didn't want to stare at it too long since he was letting me see it.

Awesome deal at 40% off a new title. Thanks OP!

Picked them up this morning. The guy's eyes opened up wide when they scanned for 35. I love it when that happens :)
