This may have been posted before, I'm not sure. At EB and ebgames.com, they are offering a $20 gift voucher with purchase of a used Gamecube (or any other nex-gen system). So as long as you'll buy something $20 or more at EB again in the future, its like $60 for a Gamecube, pretty good deal I think.

That's true, and they are doing the same with used PS2 systems. Also I noticed they had a trade in your GBA and with 2 GBA games and get an SP for 49.99.

These are not used...they are refurbished. I clarified that with a phone call as refurbished items are broken purchases sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed then sold. Some places indicate refurbished for items which have been used....then broken and fixed. According to EB's customer service....these are machines which were broken upon being taken out of the box for the first time....returned...and sent on to Sony in order to be fixed. :D

I may pick up another PS2 as my other system is old and showing signs of being old....also being used by the younger ones in my household quite a bit. $130.00 is not a bad deal when you take off the $20.00 gift voucher....free shipping right now also.

Thanks a lot for the clarification. You are right, it did state refurbished, I didn't think there was any difference
Does anyone know the policies on these refurbished systems? Length of warranty?
Good question.....I will need to clarify with EB but usually the full warranty is in effect when you purchase a refurbished piece of equipment. Very good question and something I would like to know myself. :p

3) Describe your deal as specifically as possible in your post's title.

I don't think "Gamecube Systems At EB" is very clear, please be sure to note this rule in the future and edit your post if possible.

Nothing like a newbie telling you how to do things the "right way". I liked your post just fine and found what I expected when I clicked on it. Thanks for the post. I thought the subject was just fine
I returned my refurb after a week and got a full refund.
Why did you return it? Refurbished systems are better than used systems.

What the hell are you talking about, You've been here approximately 24 days longer than I have...I'm sorry that I'm such a "newbie", I guess once I get 24 more days experience I can step up to your level....or will you be in the "Ultra elite" class then?

I just don't feel the need to post on every topic like you obviously do, I'm here to catch the deals and only post when I see something that is wrong...like the topic creator not following the rules...or feel that someones a moron and I need to point it out....like what I'm doing now.

So sorry for jumping in here and pointing out the obvious, thank you for pointing out that I'm such a "newbie" because I know the rules and feel they should be followed, and you have a great day in all your "message board regular" glory. :?

Some people truly take life too seriously.....

As far as if this thread was on target or not? That is what the mods are for so if you have a problem with anything on the board...email the moderator with your complaint. The mods obviously found nothing wrong with the thread or they would have done something about it.

Maybe he's trying out to be a mod. :D

No pent up anger here, I'm actually a very happy person, just like pointing out peoples faults and acting like an asshole on message boards. I find it fun...do you condemn a child for having fun playing on a sliding board?

And I take life to seriously because I'm having fun I suppose...and If I wanted to e-mail a moderator I would have but then it would have shot my chance to have fun, point out faults, and act like an ass!

Enjoy! :D
what the hell is a sliding board, self-proclaimed ass?
Sliding Board...on a playground, usually hooked to a swing set and a teeter totter on those Playschool home sets.

Also known simply as a "slide".

Self proclaimed ass...I like that! :D

The warranty on a refurbished system is 14 days. You can purchase a 6 month warranty for $11.

Also, customer service was misinformed. The deal is for PRE-Played systems, not refubished ones. The warranty info is also the same here. Trust me.

Thanks for the warranty info The Game.

Looking at the thread update, I figured it was just another "cmosfm vs. the rest of the world" post.

Thanks.....$149.99 even with a $20.00 voucher is way too steep for a pre-played system. Oh well...back to waiting for a price drop in May(hopefully)!!! :) :)
