In the Gamecube general board I post my thoughts on rare, like wishing for Banjo kazooie on GC and that they haven't done much since they moved to microsoft.

Guess what happens......i get modded for the subject being off topic and not posting it on the correct board. Talk about a bunch of anal whores. I responded to the mod by saying they should correct mistakes and not punish the user for such a petty thing. The moderators at gamefaqs.com literally think they are god.

I got modded once for saying that i'm going to copy FFXI (ps2) to my hard drive on my pc then play it on my pc without paying for the monthly service. I got modded for discussing or promoting piracy. I told the moderator that its not possible to play a ps2 game on your pc, and I was being sarcastic. He responded 'Yeah right, you are funny, denied'
 
Thanks punk, if I posted over there they would get power hungry and mod me some more. I was put on probation because they are so anal. Thought I would vent over here.

And thanks sneaky for MOVING my post instead of deleting it.
 
Well you posted in the wrong forum and off-topic at that.. against their policy.

And previously you posted something about piracy.. again against their policy.

I understand their boards blow monkey balls... but you really have no excuse to be pissed at them for modding you.
 
 
I've never been involved with the GameFAQs forums. They're mostly useless, a joke, really. I just go there for FAQs...;)...not the forums.

Except LUE used to be pretty funny. I'll give 'em that.

You were doing things against their rules, got in trouble for it, and bitch at another board for it. here's a news flash. We don't give a shit what they do over there.
 
I only go their to get codes if I need them and to get some help via walkthrough. Also, I get my NCAA rosters their, too. I've stopped going there for at least 6 months.

yeah, its pretty nuts over there, if you want a laugh, go check out the GTA: SA boards. the entire thing is about piracy, half of it is people saying they downloaded the game, and the other half is people saying they are turning the pirates in to Rockstar and the FBI will come looking for them.

That's similar to the Madden vs. ESPN board wars they had when the games were coming out. So many posts about how the other game sucks and their game rules, even though neither had come out. Then they'd ridicule any online review if it didn't say their game was better.
 
It's become a grand experiment documenting what happens when trolls aren't punished. The simple answer is leave and don't go back. It still works fine for it's intended purpose and there's surely better moderated communities out here.

PS: once it gets indexed this will be the only place on the internet that will come up in a Google search for "suck hard anal whores."
 
I find it funny when over at the Gamefaqs boards they talk about how people with usernames that end it (gs)(which stands for gamespot) are morons, but most of the normal members are no better.

Oh, the irony...

GameFAQs has one advantage over other sites: it's freaking huge. If nothing else, it will always have something new for you to read on its boards.

That said...the system and game specific boards are awful, especially for anything that's new and popular. Cases in point: Halo 2, GTA:SA, and most of the Pokémon boards.

The social boards aren't terrible, but CAG is much, much better.

I think we should keep a running tally of GameFAQs topics from now on. :D
 
The Specialty boards are still all right. The DVD board has gone to shit. The Comics boards is one of the best though.

Gamefaqs has sucked ass for a long long time.

Personally, I thought that their mods didn't mod enough. Yes, you heard me. Almost every thread there on their boards with decent traffic ends up becoming a flame fanboy war. Uggggh, why can't they mod that crap out too? As for thier slower boards, I'm almost sure their mods never check those. You could probably post porn on their slower boards and no one would notice.

I just avoid the message boards there and go straight for the guides and faqs now, because nothing is more annoying than posting or reading a thread there, which is trying to answer a legitimate question about something, to have it degenerate into a spamming war about how ps2/xbox/gc rules/sucks all ass, etc.
