Gamefly 10 day Trial Question

How does it work? This is what I found out through searching.

-10 day trial starts as soon as you activate your account.
-You have 10 days to cancel the account.
-You have 7 days after you cancel to get your games back to gamefly.


Can anyone confirm that? Also do they count games as returned the moment you ship it or the moment they receive it?

It's probably going to be YMMV. I gave the trial to a friend, he rented the two games, returned one, cancelled his account within the time frame, and had the second game out for months. Nobody contacted him to return it and his credit card never got charged for the game or the subscription. I can't really see that being the standard policy though.

As far as returning items, it counts when Gamefly receives the game. It's not like Netflix where they can scan it at the post office and your next movie comes quickly. I live a few hours away from the Netflix and Gamefly centers around here and Netflix gets me a new movie in 2-3 days total while Gamefly usually takes 3-5 days to even acknowledge that they received a game and then another 3-5 days for me to receive the next one. There are the rare times I get games fairly quickly but there are also times when it takes them a week to ship out the next one.
