Gamefly 30-day free trial

I just found out that Gamefly is gonna be offering a 30-day free trial, in cooperation with BIC (the ink pen dudes). The promotion code is inside specially marked packages of BIC mechanical pencils (which I hate btw).

I guess it's not really free when you think about it since you have to pay for the pencils -- but I guess someone could buy a pack and post the code or something. Besides, it's only like what, $3? Not bad for thirty days, imo.

The offer goes all the way through the end of December. Anyway, just thought I'd let everyone know.

^^ 30 day trial is good for new users only. If you remember last time, they cancelled new signups of anyone who already had an account.

How is the 10 day trial even possible? By the time you get the games (4 days for me) you don't have enough days left to retrun them before they charge you, unless they have different rules for the 10 day trial than they do for the 30 day trial.

Basically it goes like this. Your free trial starts the moment your account is activated. (This is why it's good to join during the week in the morning.) You have 10 days to evaluate their service. You must cancel your free trial before the 10 days is up. However, the games you rented don't have to be returned to Gamefly until 7 days after your cancellation. So, depeding on how you look at it, your free trial really lasts 17 days.
