GameFly's February Storewide sale!

Saw this before and forgot to post it. Nothing really stuck out to me. Picked up Dawn of Mana for under $20, after my $5 rewards coupon. Don't even know if I'll play it, but that rewards coupon was set to expire soon, and that was only title I saw worth getting.

I would get Blue Dragon of $30.99, but after tax and shipping, it'd come close to the $37.99 it is w/o shipping or tax costs brand new from amazon.com

Maybe the free shipping is part of the sale. These look like the same prices as three or four weeks ago.

Yeah, sometimes their sales are fantastic. This is not one of those times. The Wii games are the same or higher than a couple of weeks ago when I last checked.
Why is Dewy's Adventure the same price it is new? Gamefly's usually pretty good about making sure their prices are competitive.

Sega Rally Revo looks good for $21, but I have the feeling it's going to drop to under $20 new soon (hopefully CC will add it to the $16.96 clearance). Same with NiGHTS for $29.99, good deal but I am waiting for under $20 new.

Very true. Their pre-played sales are either really impressive in respects or really not. This one not so much.

Although that's a good price on Harvey Birdman for the PS2 especially with free shipping. That game isn't even two months old yet is it?

im waiting for nights too. Most sega games nowadays are not worth full price(like Sonic and the secret rings)
only games worth are

Xbox 360
PGR4 - 29.99
Darkness - 22.99
Stranglehold - 21.99
I got Darkness for 12.99 during their new years sale.
They usually have some great deals. Too bad I just cancelled my rental account with them!
I know this is a bit OT but I could not help but notice that 2 or 3 of you mentioned that you recently cancelled your rental accounts, mind if I ask why? The reason I ask is that I just cancelled by gameznflix account because they are horrible. The shipping time was not bad at all for me (western NY) but they would never send me any games, and the games they did send were all the OLD ones on my list. I would never get a "new release" game any sooner than 6 months after it was released. Gamezflix had really good prices (17.99 for the 3 game/movie) plan but if you dont ever get anything than what are you paying for. Anyhoo, I was SERIOUSLY considering starting my gamefly membership back up again (its been a couple years since I was an active member) Gamefly's service is bound to be better than what I described above, right?

There seems to be a lot of mixed emotions about GF on this board. I love them. Their turnaround is very quick, and ever since I cut down my GameQ, I get basically whatever I want.

QFT

I don't really know what to buy with this sale... I have $15 right now in credit and 5% off... and $5 of that money is expiring in a few days, but I don't really know what to buy... Any opinions? I have all the consoles of this gen, last gen and a DS.

Gamefly is substantially better than Gameznflix in all aspects. I cancelled both memberships, but for different reasons. Gameznflix because it sucks, Gamefly because I was out of games I was interested in trying for the time being. Gamefly can generally get you newer games and has few wait list issues. They are much closer to Netflix as far as their service is concerned.
Also, it's weird that people keep mentioning they cancelled their service like it stops them from buying used from Gamefly. It doesn't; the only difference is that members always get free shipping, non-members get charged shipping unless the current sale or game includes free shipping. I've bought from them several times since cancelling my membership.

Same here, this time around the prices are a little too high for me.

For me, they were simply taking too long. After several 7 + day waits, even though I live near their East Coast center, I gave up. I switched to Gamerang, which seems to be relatively unknown, and haven't looked back. I get games in about 3 days now and they have 5 shipping centers around the US.
