Hey there,
I just saw Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner is being reprinted. Does anybody have a list of all the games GQD has reprinted so far?
Here's the one's I know of:
Rhapsody
Persona II
Resident Evil 2 GC
Resident Evil 3 GC
Rez
Gitaroo Man
Dukes of Hazzard: Return of General Lee?

Was Disgaea's or Pheonix Wright's reprint done by GQD?
Thanks

Wow - I didn't think that ZoE II would warrent a reprint as the eBay prices usually hover around $30-$40. Regardless I am glad it got a reprint as the game is fantastic and a must play for mecha fans.

And maybe this should be moved to the Video Game Deals section.

didn't see this on the search, and not too sure if it's GQD or Activision themselves, but I've noticed a second wave of X-Men: Next Dimension for the GameCube showing up at Retailers like Micro Center and Fry's Electronics. These copies look way too 'new' to be sitting in the back of the stores.

could be cross-marketing with X3 or the DVD boxed set as well....

here's the link:
http://www.gamequestdirect.com/04787580371.html

only $14.99 and $19.99 at Mircro Center and Fry's Electronics, respectively.

btw, go ahead and reprint MvC2 for the PS2!

i don't think it can happen with the licensing issues. get it while it's still only $100 ;)

Well, the thing is that GQD usually sells the leftover stock to EB / GS. You can see this with almost any game they've reprinted. Now that EB / GS won't take PS1 games as trade-in and won't stock them, GQD can't fall back on EB / GS to buy all their leftover stock. So essentially, they are very limited on what they can and can't reprint. It dosen't surprised me they took ZoE 2, because honestly there is not that many games left they can reprint, since there isn't alot of games right now that hit big numbers on the PS2 / GC / Xbox, Disgaea and MvC 2 not withstanding.

Other games reprinted by GQD:

Shadow Hearts
Cubivore

I fully expect GQD to be trying to get their hands on Disgaea next, since MvC 2 is out of the picture as Apossum said. Not only would they have to get the rights to the game from Capcom, but permission to use the Marvel license from whoever owns it right now.

Yeah, MVC 2 is gone. If you can't get one of the copies out now, you're never getting the game. I can see Disgaea happening... though I have to wonder what would happen if NIS brought over Disgaea PSP... more useless stock for GQD?

Ummm not to be a jackass but would buying the Japanese edition of any copy of MVC2 cost that much? I mean it's not exactly text intensive.

fuckin' great. Just when I was about to ebay my sealed copy of 2nd Runner, they re-print it. :whistle2:/

Oh well, I still have my sealed Disgea.

if you are buying the japanese dreamcast but be careful that you cant unlock any secret characters unless you are able to download save off the net.

Wow I didn't realize it was that bad. What a bummer. My thing with MVC2 is I guess it's fine to play at home but I'm really bitter off the fact the XBox version never contained online play which would have made me buy it for just that feature alone. I still can't believe Capcom lost the license, how could they be so stupid?
I think EA lost it to Activision Dkellar. I wonder if Capcom has thought of grabbing Image now that Marvel is gone though. Granted the Vs. series of games have Marvel etched in peoples minds but some Image characters might work for them too.

Better hurry on that sealed Disgaea, GQD will find a way to reprint that next, I can almost guarantee it.
Doesn't EA have the Marvel license now?
Yes. That is why everyone is mentioning that a MVC2 reprint/re-release is very unlikely.

ZOE2 being reprinted is a surprise to me, as others have mentioned themselves. I tend to see it at most EB/Gamestops I go to, as well as other used game stores. Didn't know it was in that high demand.

I do not think GQD reprinted Dukes of Hazard. Add these to the list though:

Cubivore
Shadow Hearts
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Saiyuki: Journey West

Yeah, and I think Activision has the X-Men license... and maybe the Spider Man license... either way, the game is caught up in licensing hell... it's somewhat amazing that we ever got the game in the first place.

You would think that since EA's Marvel game turned out to be complete shit by most peoples standards and I'm guessing by extension sales Marvel would revoke the license or wind the clock in terms of not allowing them to mess with it anymore or limit it to almost nothing.

Marvel Nemesis sold well enough to become a GH / PH, so no, Marvel isn't going to take the license from EA anytime soon.
With the collections that Capcom has out right now and the Puzzle Collection that's coming out soon, I have to wonder what exactly the point would be of reprinting these... unless they did it a long time ago or something.
For the same reason these games are being re-released, the nostalgia factor my good man.

why would a reprint hurt it. The games been reprinted 3 or 4 times and it still fetches that money. ALSO none of the reprints will come with the sticker. only the first print has the sticker

not so sure that they reprinted ZoE or Pocket Fighter or PF2T for that matter.

they've had the latter two for a while and they only have 9 copies of ZoE2 available. they would probably put a few more back in stock after they sell out, but I don't know if this qualifies as a "reprint."

damn, and I was jus at their store a month ago asking for this game...

I ended up getting it special ordered thru game crazy instead...

I still don't get the draw to the Xbox/PS2 versions of MvC2. People praise it like it's the second coming of Christ when in fact both versions are pale in comparison to the Dreamcast version.

Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo was reprinted a long time ago, I think Capcom did that themselves.

I think a lot of it has to do with that fact that few people have a Dreamcast now. Yeah, it's the best version of the game, but it's not an option for most people.

Glad I have the DC version though...

But you can get Dreamcast and complete MvC2 for $80 or less...
Wow, a Konami game. Could Suikoden I and II be next?
Dont know bout that but they already have Suikoden III @ $50
I hope they get Suikoden 2 and Valkyrie NEXT!

Valkyrie won't happen... because SE just re-released for the PSP. SE stands to gain more from potential buyers of the original skipping the PS1 version and getting the new (and more profitable) PSP version.

Suikoden II, I could see that happening. Konami did rerelease a Suikoden I&II in Japan (on the PSP I think) but nothing has been confirmed for the NA market, oddly enough.
Seriously doubt it, but here's hoping :)
Maybe, reprinting a Konami game is a big first step. Maybe we will see Suikoden 2 and Castlevania SOTN.

they only had 9 copies to begin with (now they only have 1.) I doubt this is a reprint.

Why would anyone want a reprint of that filthy X-men game? It's $7 used at gamestop for the xbox version?????!!!!!!

Talk about working backwards...mind as well reprint Charlie's Angels and Disney Sports Skateboarding.
