Well, some people were bitching because they were supposedly loyal customers and wanted a piece of the cake. There's no reward for loyal customers on Steam, GMG, GameFly, GOG... Yet there are already rewards for loyal customers on GG, and they still whine about. It's just ridiculous.
Shit, if you really wanted something purchased with the loyalty 20% discount, I'm sure that a fellow CAG would help you out.
Yet there are already rewards for loyal customers on GG
Eh, not really. As you go up in tiers, your affiliate bonus goes up if you can get someone to click through your links. That's the only scaling bonus.

Granted you get the BC kickbacks but someone making their first purchase gets the same reward as someone spending their thousandth dollar. So it's not really a "loyalty" reward.

No slam on GG though since, as you said, no one else does anything much either in terms of loyalty bonuses. I still think they should scale a BC-purchase bonus to your tier (spend $10 and get 10,500 BCs at Tier 4 for instance) since that would give a solid reward and you need enough cash spent to hit the upper levels that you've been a decent enough customer. But they're not taking my phone calls.

I'm good, I have far too many games already.

Thanks for the head's up on Warlock. Been playing it a bit, it's fun but could have been a lot better. Already own most of the DLC but I'm considering getting the Powerful Lords with my paltry 700ish blue coins. Wish I had enough for a freebie Serpent because that adds more content.

hah nice one. I found a thread on Tutor that quoted some tweets from GG saying that the keys should be available this week and that they are waiting on Bethesda. Don't know how true that is but it gives a small glimmer of hope
Apparently GamersGate is hoping to have some more info regarding the Bethesda keys tomorrow according to their Twitter feed.
I hear they will be announcing an update regarding this new update by sometime in the middle of February.

Man you guys are more hopeful than I. The way I read that twitter post it sounds like they "might" have an update tomorrow. It doesn't sound all that confident when they start out with "We hope..."

Not to be overly cynical, but "I hope" to wake up a millionaire tomorrow...
I hear they will be announcing an update regarding this new update by sometime in the middle of February.
Is this supposed to be a joke?
Na, that would imply GamersGate is a joke.
That post being an attempt at a joke may imply that GamersGate is also a joke, but if the post is verifiable fact, it proves that they are.

Update 23 January 2013:

Hi again,

Last information we have is that we were promised serial keys for the Bethesda New Year Collection bundle by the publisher. We are still waiting for these serials and will distribute them as soon as we are able.

We are sorry for the highly unusual amount of time this is taking.

Don't see why Bethesda would have any reason to take so long to give them keys, sounds like they've been trying to get the price down the way they're pushing responsibility on them. Surely if they were willing to pay what was asked they'd have no doubt about getting them on a certain day -.-

Maybe they are working to get bundles "single key" to prevent sales @ cheap prices

That would certainly be an interesting development! :whistle2:o

It would be rather poking a stick in a hornet's nest.

And it would be ludicrous/ridiculous (take your pick) for the existing Bethesda bundle issue where the current state is that people have already redeemed parts of it.

Not to mention that people could've gifted individual games.

I really don't think they are too concerned about people re-selling the keys. At least not GG. Now, Bethesda might be concerned about that so I could possibly see that. I remember they recently had a Elder Scrolls pack on sale in the UK and that apparently redeemed with just one key. Was very surprised about that.

So while it probably would make more sense for GG to just get individual keys, I could see Bethesda insisting to do just one key to cut down on secondary market reselling.

Given the slow rate of discounting for Skyrim (still a 50-60% off title during sales), I wouldn't be surprised if Bethesda wasn't crazy about letting a bajillion copies of it and Dishonored into the secondary market to be resold for pennies on the dollar. Even eating the already granted keys might strike Bethesda/GG as a better option than individual keys for all the remaining packs. Just idle speculation though since we're only talking about a throw away one-liner in this thread.
And thanks to a request from @MysterD Sacred 2 Gold is now DRM Free. Now we just need a glitch sale.
Re-downloading time =D

Those of us that bought Sacred 2 Gold before it got switched over to DRM-free on GamersGate are stuck with the securom version lol. Kind of a crappy thing to do, I'll probably submit a support ticket.

I doubt those keys will be resold for less than 40-60% of MSRP in other places than CAG forums, so it shouldn't considerably hit Beth sales policy.

Yeah, I was looking into it. My library lists "Sacred 2 Gold (Old)" with a product code: DD-S2G. The downloader is now labeled: "Download Sacred 2 Fallen Angel (Old).exe" which further confirms that I'm not being auto-converted to the DRM-FREE version (yet at least). The DRM-FREE version has the product code: DD-S2GE. I'll probably submit a ticket -- lousy timing at the moment with the Beth Pack keys issue still causing rage. Oddly, I don't hear noise over BL2 keys.

I think everyone got their BL2 keys for the packs that were honored. So GG does come through on things and there likely is a legitimate reason the Bethesda keys are delayed.

Same.
I've Twitter'ed GG up asking about it.
We'll see what they same.

Let us know how things go w/ your ticket.

Looks like the daily deal is Dead Space 1 and 2 for 75% off $5.00 each.
They also have Dead Space 1+2 80% off for $8.00 ($6.39 if you have the 20% off compensation discount.) That is a really good price for Dead Space 1 + 2 =)

Also it looks like they gave everyone who had the old Sacred 2 Gold Edition with securom a free DRM version as well.

Good news and great price on that DS 1 and 2 pack. Insane price after discount. Already have them both or I would jump on that.

Wow great deal on that Dead Space 1 + 2. Never bought off of Gamersgate before. Could someone purchase using their 20 percent off and send me the keys? Not sure if that would work or not.

These aren't Keys I think. DS1 says "Securom" and DS2 says "other"

I have 2 versions of Sacred 2 Gold now in my library. The new one shows as DRM-free and has no key codes, only a download button. No support ticket was needed. And oddly, the game looks to be giftable...

Yea they basicly hooked people up with a second copy for free which was nice of them =), even nicer for me because I never revealed the codes for my securom version =)
Not sure if I should go with this for $6 or Steam.
Well considering Steam didn't discount them at all this Winter sale it may be a safe bet to grab them now. (I'm 90% sure this statement is true. I know Fallout definitely didn't and I thought the Dead Space franchise as well received no discounts.)

It's the best deal I've seen -- I'm just worried about SecuRom.
is the dead Space 1 origin?
It just says SecuRom on the page so I don't know if you can register it there.
at least is not Starforce...
I don't think I have any games with Starforce and I haven't heard anything about it.

It works like this:
you have 10 (more or less) allowed installation, if you happen to format without deactivating the license on that machine you've permanently lost that licence (and you still have 9 of them, of course), Bioshock was like that for example.

more games with that protection here:

That's shitty. I might actually have one game with it then since I have the non-Steam version of Bioshock (but I won't ever download it since I now have it on Steam).

Whoot. I have a copy of the new DRM-FREE Sacred 2 Gold in my library.

Dead Space 1+2 is tempting at $6 even through I'm not that into FPS or horror. The cheapeast they've been on steam is $5 each (or $10 for both). GG & Amazon have a policy of issuing new keys if you run out of activations.

King Arthur Complete is $6 w/20%. KA1 (steam) + DLC. KA2 (DRM-FREE) + DLC).

Tractor Battle 2012 Agricultural Simulator 2012 is ~$5.30 w/20%. DRM:Other

Agricultural Simulator 2012 review
By Fragr92_ posted 24th October 2012
A few things you need to know when considerng buying this game.

There are some differences in oppinions wether the Farming Simulator franchise or Agricultural Simulator franchise has the best game. This means that there will be a lot of people trying to throw crap at both of the games. So i thought i'd do something different and list a few things that i've noticed being "better" or "worse" and i will leave it up to you, the reader, to decide which one sounds like it will suit your wishes the best.

(Keep in mind that this review is written before Farming Simulator 2013 is released)

Starting off with the good stuff.

"Pros" over Farming Simulator:

*More Overall vehicles and implements

*Larger map with more fields

*Better graphics (Not necessarily a good point, will elaborate in "cons" section)

*More types of grains

*More animals available for breeding

*More "realistic" (For Example, when driving on a field your tractor will shake as if driving on an uneven surface, vehicles will leave tracks, implements will mark the ground depending on which way they are pulled, animals have to be manually taken care of, etc)

*A bit more complex

*Better Vehicle detail

*Slightly better Physics Engine (In my Oppinion)

"Cons" from Farming Simulator:

*Graphics engine unreasonably demanding (While it has better graphics you will need an absolute beast of a computer to run it properly. Preferrably one from the future. Example: My current computer can max out Crysis and BF3 at around 40-50fps. From this game i can sometimes get as low as 10fps.And that's with most things close to their lowest settings.)

*Harder to master (I like to say that this game is more of a farming "Simulator" and Farming Simulator is more of a farming "Game")

*Sub-par support team (When adressing more serious issues with the developers they usually do everything they can to not have to solve your problems. Example: Many people complain about FPS issues, to which the devs reply "Try lowering your graphics settings" or "It doesn't matter since the human eye can't see more than 20fps anyway" the majority of the time. Furthermore they don't speak english very well and utterly refuse to do anything to change that. So if you buy the game and it ends up not working, good luck getting it fixed.)

*Hard to find Tutorial Section (To access tutorials you have to press F1, which is of course never mentioned anywhere)

*"Sliding" implements (A minority of implements are known to sort of "Slide" around on the ground, meaning if you detach them from your tractor outside your garage you might end up losing them)

There are many more things i could add to both the "Pros" and "Cons" sections but this review is already getting a bit too long.

Hopefully this has helped you to decide wether to buy the game or not. If you are new to the farm sim genre and want my oppinion on what to get i would advice you to get Farming Simulator 2011 first and then get Agricultural Simulator 2012 later once you've learned how farming games work.

Thanks for your time.
