CAGiversary!
ALL INFO AND DEALS FOR GAMERUSH (pm/post with any suggestions)

If your in the Oklahoma City area stop by my store at Nw 50th and MacArthur (for now). If your a flipper/scammer at least spare my store the crap titles unless its for presales...thanks. If your good I may hook up with with a special "modification" to a current deal that you may greatly enjoy...

Please note in the next few weeks I will be changing stores to Hefner and Rockwell. They needed the help and while I like my store the pay raise was justifiable and my current sm is moving to pittsburg.

Current Deals

Trade 3 games get an extra $5 per game (LAST DAY IS MAY 16!)

Beginning March 15th till May 23rd, trade 3 games get an extra $5 per game. PSP, NDS, GBA, Xbox, Gcube, and PS2 only. No sports games before '04 and no Freestyle Street Soccer, or minigames/demo discs (the usuals). Also be aware some titles that sell for $4.99 may not work either (Haven, Project Eden, etc.) So don't get upset when they don't.

You may be limited to 10 per day though YMMV.

Trade 2 games and get New Releases and Pre-Orders for $29.99 til September 5th (subject to change)

Should go till September 5th. New releases and Preorder games only $29.99 with 2 game trades (see exclusions above or aka the usual).

Buy 1 get 1 50% til close of business May 16

This works on all preowned games including retro/n64. If any employee disagrees they can call my store at 1-700-22-40049 (not many people know about it but it calls the store in the company by the last 5 digits store code).

Buy 1 Preowned game get another 1 for 50% off. Takes off lowest priced title so separate and make sure employee scans your groups and barcode seperate.
Price and selection will vary by location and quantities are limited. Offer not valid on previously rented movies, sale items or in conjunction with any other discount or offer. Discount taken at register and will be applied towards lowest price games(s). Customer responsible for applicable taxes. Limit 2 per title per customer per day. Maximum of 20 Pre-owned games per customer per day.

1 out = $14.99 the first month....$19.99 thereafter
2 out= $24.99 the first month...$29.99 thereafter

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

$0.99 Retro Games

All Dreamcast, Snes, Genesis, and Nes games are $0.99. Games available depend on which store you go to. Games may not be marked as $0.99, but they will ring up that price. Trade in value of all games on these systems is now $0.25.

OTHER INFO

They also have coupons in magazines for great deals, so be sure to check EGM, GamePro, and several other magazines.

GameRush is starting to expand, so check the store locator every once in awhile to see if one is coming to an area near you.

All BlockBuster's should now accept trades, so the trade in prices for BB and GR should be similar, but normal BBs will not always have the deals that GameRush has.

GameRush accepts game trades without case and instructions and the games can be in poor condition depending on the employee.

You must have a BB account and sign a trade agreement to trade at GameRush.

Please be careful if you scam GameRush (by flipping games) they do have the abillity to ban you from all GameRush locations if they want to (and as I have done but that was only because I was tired of crap PS1...).

Release dates - Go by the shipping date. 9 times out of 10 it is not what the Blockbuster computer says. The computer date is when traditional stores can expect to receive their rental games.

Game Rush receives games typically on Tuesday and Wednesday of the games release. Only reason EB and Gamestop get them a day before is because they get special shipments or their dm picks the games up and brings back that evening (or they are near distribution centers).

Some games have street dates but this is few and far between (outrun 2, halo 2, star wars episode 3, doom 3 are it in the past 6 months).

OTHER GAMERUSH THREADS

Don't seem to be working anymore...I will put them back up on request(pm) or if they become live again.

I'm willing to bet Echo Night drops in value tomorrow... but of course, if it doesn't, it should have a huge drop next week... remember Rogue Ops around this time last year? ;)

Traded In:

THUG 2 Remix for PSP - $30
Mark of Kri - $1.50

Preordered Soul Calibur 3 (yes, it's in their computers and I've already preordered my way until the fall)

GameRush is the best thing to happen to video games since Microsoft....I mean, Nokia.....well, let's just say they're good.
When can I pick up Jade Empire: LE? No date on receipt!
my store is saying on the 15th, but they have always gotten their new releases by wednesday. they told me chaos theory would come out on the friday of its release week, but they got it on wednesday too, so im guessing they should have it in 2 days
anyone know what Halo 2 and Burnout 3 net in trade lately?
i believe halo 2 gets 23 before the extra 5. burnout 3 should get 15-20 before the extra 5

I asked 5 times when I pre-ordered Jade Empire if the guy was sure there was not a seperate entry for the LE. Oh no .. its all the same .. blah blah blah .. now I am screwed and stuck with the non LE version. Since it's less than 7 days till release they wont switch my pre-order over to the LE.

My GR guys and the manager told me that they are only getting the LE version of Jade Empire. He said that this is the only version corporate is getting although they have the SKU for the regular version.

Anyone know if Echo Night dropped in trade-in value today? If no one knows I'll just call myself this evening....thanks.

Both were in the system when i preordered mine too but the guy said that the LE costs $5 more and I could preorder it using the "trade x games and get it for $y". Hopefully I can change it to the LE one when I pick it up...

So, did anyone pick up Midnight Club 3 today?

Also, is anyone pre-ordering XBOX 2 games? Release dates?
I heard there are a few in the system in the GameRush preorder thread in Deals & Discussions
So, did anyone pick up Midnight Club 3 today?
Just picked up Midnight Club 3 an hour ago. They had at least 10 each for the PS2 and XBox.

Alright guys, I just called GR to see how much I could get more my games:
all prices before $5 added
anyways *GTA: SA=$20
*Need for speed Underground 2=$30
drumroll...***Echo Night Beyond = $25.
Awesome looks like still a go.
This is for the GR near Charlotte, NC, hope it's still working everywhere else.
Yep Midnight Club III is in, but there weren't any Jade Empires. He expects them tomorrow.
So CockBuster definitely didn't get J.E. I take it? Great, just F'N great.

Picked up MC3 a few hours ago! Jade Empire's shipping date is today, so GR will probably be getting them tomorrow! Of course the CR had no idea when it would be in.

yarnvp and CoryCubed: Thanks for the info. Yarnvp: I wasn't asking for a Live code. :) I was wanting to know what I might could get for the one I had, should I try and sell it. So, yeah, that's the end of that discussion. ;)

I asked this GR guy today about the Buy 1 Get 1 50% OFF. He said they were doing it. So when I went and picked up Paper Mario (N64) and a couple other N64 games, he was like, it doesn't apply to CART games since those are already cheap. So, I'm gonna go back another day and ask someone else, mainly the guy that always does my trades.

Traded in Auto Modellista (PS2) and Prince of Persia: SoT (GC) and pre-ordered Killer 7 (GC).

Auto Modellista (PS2) = $5
Prince of Persia (GC) = $7

doubledown: there are a few xbox 2 titles in the system. the ones that i know for sure are tony hawk underground 3, quake 4, true crimes streets of la 2, and i think a need for speed game too. i might decide to PO quake 4 since i will definately get it for xbox 2, and it might be priced at 60-70 regularly.

everyone with the concern of jade empire: i am almost positive that it doesnt matter which version you preordered. its going to be like mechassualt 2. everyone that preordered the game will get it. those who didnt preorder the game, wont. gamerush will probably get it tomorrow

Hey Spin03? When i go to preorder these Xbox 2 titles, how are they listed? As "Xbox 2" games or something else. Maybe "Next Gen" or something like that? The reason i ask is because the GR i go to,i usually have my games written down already. So if you can tell me what system title theyre under,i would truly appreciate it. Thx in advance.

These people kill me. I've even encountered a few in my district when I'm shopping other stores for goodies even after I've introduced myself as an employee I haft to argue with them to take it off.

Even the lowest credit giving n64 games (50 cents) sell for no less than $1.99 or more. Say half is $1 thats still 99 cents or at least 40 cents profit for blockbuster.

Even with my discount of 20% its still profitable. (employee labor and other expenses don't cont as these games sell very slowly and these discounts help them sell quicker and allow for more space for higher selling games). Unfortunently many Game Rushes just don't have the space.

Game sells for $2 my discount brings it to $1.60 half of that is 80 cents still at least 30 cents to blockbuster.

anybody have any more info on the pre-order availability of xbox 360 games? i have a huge backlog of this generation games that i might like to take advantage of ordering next gen games especially given that they might be over $50 retail, my guess is it would be tough considering no games have been officially announced (at least to my knowledge)

Unless some of the games are under regular Xbox in the computer still I have no idea.

We have a place holder of xb2 and ps3 in the computer but they don't bring up anything yet as of today.

Now if there are some e3 announcements the 2 deals are still scheduled to end May 23rd so it may not be too late if they add the games into the system by then.

they are under xbox for the system. when i go to pick up jade empire today, ill write down the games that will probably be pushed to next generation. there were only 2-3 for xbox 2 if i am remembering correctly. i will probably trade in my metroid prime and super smash brothers melee and 2 other cheapies and PO quake 4 and another next gen title

Oh, so the system still says it's for original XBOX? The worse they can do is cancel the pre-order and give you your $50 back. Sounds good...I may have to PreO Quake IV also. Hopefully they take pre-orders for XBOX 2 after E3 or whenever there is a release date.
