Yeah, I'm another one waiting on their delivery for DOR 2. They received the other big game of that week on that friday just fine, which was Mario Baseball, so I'm guessing the problem might lie with TH-Q and not necessarily gamerush and their spotty delivery issues. The fact that every other retailer got them on time leads me to not believe my own assumptions though.

On another note, when I asked an employee if I may switch the preorder, he said no, because the game, which they don't have in, is already "released." I'm not following his logic here though but I will stick it out until the end of the month, at which point I hope they finally have DOR 2 in stock.

Well, to answer your direct question....you CAN pre-order XBOX360 games. However, it's very YMMV if you try and do it with the trade 2 deal.
 
WTF still waiting on DoR2 and they wont let you change preorders? I'd throw a fit and they'd let me switch, thats bullshit!
 
Just got back from GR, I walked in and the manager was preparing a stack of Burnout Revenges for rental. He said that they only got the rental copies in and that the for sale copies would be in later today or probably tomorrow. Dont they come from the same place??? WTF get them all at once in one box save on shipping and rent x copies and sell y copies, it's not that hard. I swear they do this on purpose hoping people will be so ready to play it that they'll just rent it instead of waiting another day. This store used to do this on every game release it seemed like, they haven't been lately at least not on the games i've had preordered.

If it wasn't for the preorder deals and the fact that the place is within walking distance of my place i'd go to EB........

That's just a generic date, it is the friday of release week for every game. They'll have it by........
 
The GR I go to usually gets shipments around 2pm, so I hope they receive it today. They told me last week that it would be in on the 16th, but I anticipate/hope it comes in today. I noticed yesterday that the always up-to-date:roll: website has Burnout at the top with today's date on it so hopefully it comes in.

I remember going to get my Jade Empire pre-order and the guy told me they would have it in a couple of days. Well, less than 30 minutes later, I get a phone call at home telling me that they forgot to open one of the packages in their shipment that day and it was the one with all of the Jade Empires.
 
Yep, my GR had Burnout and Evil Dead Regeneration in today. I also saw that they received the Mortal Kombat figures that you got for pre-ordering Shaolin Monks. The figures looked pretty nice and were packaged on a cardboard backing that looked like something that would actually be sold in stores.
 
Anyone know if Super Mario Strikers is in the Gamerush system/list?

I would like to pre-order it if it's on their approved list.

The short and sweet answer is I was accused of trading for profit, I was not a flipper like some other people who were banned. The DM in my area has expressed an opinion that no one should buy games with the express reason to trade back to GR, as he said "it was against the spirit of the deal". I had discussed being reinstated (but limited in some way), with him, but so far no joy.

I would go so far as to say, that my posts on this board worked against me, as GR are actively monitoring these forums. There are additional twists to this story, but until I've exhausted my dialog with him, In a sense I'm censoring myself as an act of good faith, so I'm going to keep them private as I'm hoping that fairness will prevail. I know for a fact other people have been reinstated, and that my trading patterns are in fact no worse than theirs. You can review my previous posts if you want more details.
 
Picked up my Burnout Legends and Revenge (XBOX) today....they had a bunch in stock.

I got my copy of Burnout: Revenge in today also. For those who have played the demo of this Burnout, do you think that was a good representation of the actual game. I didn't find the demo that fun, and I'm wondering if I should just sell it on ebay.

I went ahead and tried it. Glad I did. They were still doing the trade 3, get 25% more deal and I double dipped for the $29.99 pre-order. He said they had Burnout, but couldn't sell it til Friday. Since I traded in Munch (got $10 for it!??!) and a couple of other old crappers, I wasn't going to complain. Hope it lives up to the hype.

After calling my GR and having them tell me Burnout wouldn't be in until the 16th, I decided to head down there myself and check things out. Sure enough, they had both Burnout Revenge and Burnout Legends waiting for me. Gotta love customer service.

I would keep it if I were you, unless you hate Burnout games. The reason I say keep it is that at EBAY, you would get $35-$40 at most. At GR, you will get $30-$35, but you can still keep the game for a few weeks and still get the same credit. If you really need cash and not credit, then it is up to you.

I am going to pick up my copy of Burnout:Revenge.
 
My local GR is letting you trade 2 and get an XBOX 360 preorder. They have a sign by the register saying so! I was dumb-founded...now my GR is definitely awesome! Also, I noticed that Burnout is rated E Ages 10+. Did the ESRB change their rating system? Is that because of GTA:SA? Seems kind of funny. BTW, the 360 game preorders are at 9 Mile and Middlebelt, in Michigan. :D

I also noticed the guy had a book w/all the deals in it. I was tempted to look at it, but I think he wouldve not liked it

Which games are they letting you pre-order? If its all of them then I am going to make a stop on Sunday and trade at that one instead of the one in Plymouth.
 
It's all of them. The lady working there said that it works with any game that is in their system. It might be employee stupidity though, so look for a short, chubby, somewhat young girl. That's her! :D

Man... all these friggin GRs in Michigan. I feel so unloved in Ohio. Is the BB in Canton a GR now? The one that's still open (I guess they closed the Ford Rd one?)

Well its right near Canton, but its actually in Plymouth. They are really nice at this one, such as actually giving me the pre-order goodies and calling me when the game is in.

What time was she working? I would love to get like 3 games pre-ordered up there, instead of paying the 59.99, or waiting until they have a trade-in deal.

I don't know about Canton, but there is a GR in Cuyahoga Falls, and one in Stow. I may have to start checking out the one in Stow and see if they usually get games on release day. They have Burnout today, but the one that I go to in CF doesn't.

well the GR in wadsworth, ohio doesn't let you do the preorder 360 games, but i'm going to go in every day and ask a different employee every time in hopes that one doesnt know any better.

I don't know what the deal is, but there aren't any GRs in Dayton either...Cincinnati has them.

the closest one is 30 miles away, and I don't really feel like driving that far.

I wish we could get some inside info on when dayton is converting their BB(s) to GR(s)...A lot of stores certainly seem big enough.

NO! because the people that were running Gamerush during that time aren't there anymore at Corporate and they have hired former execs from EB to head Gamerush so it won't ever happen again.

PSP is back to $165 trade-in....GameRush updated their website. Also, has the 25% of pre-owned games...

PSP games are back to the standard $22/$28 also it appears. May be time to dump Ridge Racer and Ape Escape...but what to pre-order

Anyone know if they updated the XBOX360 prices for the MS games ($49.99) I really would like to preorder all of those with this deal

I asked today and they told me that the system still had all the Xbox 360 games at $59.99. I said to the GR guy about the MS games being 49.99 and he said that he contacted the district manager about getting that fixed, but nothing has been done.

On a side note I traded:

Madden 2006 (xbox) - $30
Morrowind (Xbox) - $8
Mortal Kombat: DA (GC) - $7
Galleon (Xbox) - $20

And pre-ordered Stubbs the Zombie(Xbox) and Fire Emblem: PoR (GC).

Of course that would be EB. Maybe they hired GR's old game execs. :D

So with the confirmation of the 25% off sale on the GR web site, is the 25% trade-in bonus officially dead? Are people still getting this today - seems people got it after it was supposed to end? I need to make a decision about some trade-ins. They go to EB (and the $5 bonus) for sure if the 25% bonus is over at GR.
