Please note: The 50% off prices will not show on the registers until the employee hits the "Total" button.

Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).
Well, I've got 10 that are still unopened, but I've got another 25 that are in the condition I described above (I ordered a bunch online). I was planning on saving enough credit so that I could buy one of their employees and use him/her as a slave. Either that or I would completely ransack their candy/drinks section.
Ah, yes, I see, April 1st is it?

Your first couple of posts were believable, but you blew it with the "trade in prices should spread around to other stores as early as tomorrow morning" part. It's not like some local manager can change the price and it propagates around the system like a virus .

I could certainly believe someone buying 25 online and getting stuck with them when the price dropped though. But yeah, the "artificial aging" of every copy was a good one.

Of course, let this be a lesson to anyone who might try such a thing - because this game WILL drop some day suddenly, though not likely on a Friday night that happens to be April Fools Eve.

I also like the pathetic selection of games you allegedly picked up with your profit - classic!

On a SERIOUS note, GunstarRed, I can get you the Guy Game for PS2, though I *would* be embarassed buying it, especially as I already picked up copies of Playboy and Leisure Suit Larry (ebayed 'em for a handsome profit to fund my Red Ninja purchases :D). Still looking for the same things I keep requesting here (PoP SoT GC, Bomberman DS, Wavebirds).

io, now that you're online and I know you frequent GR plenty, was there any mention of Beatmania on their preorder / release lists?

Never heard of it till recently, so I didn't ask. I'll check tomorrow (have to go return a movie of all things :D). It was certainly not on any printed lists I got, but I haven't had one of those for a while - everything recently has been checking in the computer. They let me look at the computer for DS/PSP preorders because it doesn't take long to go through all the games (they don't have a separate list in the computer for preorders). No way I can do that with PS2 though so you have to ask them to look them up individually.

Its a $65 music game... comes with the game and a DJ like controller. Since GR never got Guitar Hero, I doubt they'll get Beatmania =/ Its funny, every other store on the face of the planet got Guitar Hero EXCEPT Gamerush, which is a game store. Came out this week, but since I didn't see at all and no one else has confirmed, I'm going to assume they aren't getting it.

I've got about $100 in credit, and without Tetris or DBZ Shin Budokai there is nothing at all for me to spend it on. No decent used games, nothing I want to buy brand new that I can't get alot cheaper elsewhere that I don't already have... maybe GR will surprise me and get Beatmania in.

They finally dropped the new price on Wild Arms 4 to $39.99, though.

Isn't that $29.99 other places now (I thought I saw it at Best Buy for $29.99)?? I just picked up Wild Arms 3 for $9.xx at CC the other day so I'm tempted to get Wild Arms 4 - but I can wait for it to get cheaper.

Yeah, I was disappointed in GR not getting Guitar Hero. There's no way I'd spend close to retail on it anywhere else. I hear it is a great game, but I'm not too into the rhythm games and my kids hate them because they are too frustrating (ie, Donkey Konga). But I thought my older son might get a kick out of the controller (he's only 6 so he might have a hard time holding it, but he would probably like the concept).

Time to play Grandia III...

anyone know if xbox live kits 50% off ??other than the old bag kit thing that was mentioned earlier in this thread?

Dropped off the last Red Ninja yesterday at 5:00pm CST. Thank goodness I sat through traffic to get there. It was still at $27 but from what people are saying .. It could be end for our Pretty Little Lady..

Here are some trades I did as well:

BeyBlade Grevolution - $5
Pingpals - $1.25 ( I think it dropped from $2 ) oh well .. saved the case for my cart only GBA game.

Are all GR prices the same for used games?

Is Eternal Darkness any good? I saw a copy for $9.99.

Also saw Tactics Ogre GBA and Shining force GBA games. Are they any good?

I saw 2 new games in the 50% bin with blue dots.

Fable the Lost Chapters : PH

Play 2 /with Eyetoy

Anyone see Super Puzzle Fighter II at their GR?

lol you're right, everyone else does have Wild Arms 4 at $29.99 now. Damn it Gamerush!!!!!

Now that there seems to be no chance they are getting Beatmania, I'm sitting on $100 in credit that I have no use for. When I called my friend and told him "Man, I have so much credit at Gamerush that I have no use for" he responded "Wow, where have I heard this before...?"

It seems like every time a good trade game comes along, they never have the games I actually want

Not only do they not get Atlus / niche RPG games, they also don't get music games... sometimes I think Best Buy is more of a gamestore than GR.

That's what distributors think too, and therein lies the problem ;)

And let me be the first to say, I don't know who you are anymore, Roufuss, with this crazy new avatar.

Sometimes when I'm looking through threads, and I see my avatar, I'm like "Hm I wonder what that guy posted" and it turns out that its me. I decided to take this new one after watching Snake Eraser

I'll go back to Stitch soon.

It would make a pretty good experiment, wouldn't it?

Most people tend to associate names with avatars, so that just seeing the avatar they know who is positing. When that changes, everything goes haywire

I wonder if this is just at your local store. I guess you didn't buy it (to see if the discount was automatic)? I know there's one at my store, as I've been tempted to pay the $50 (in GR credit) for it. I've held off because I already have 2 EyeToys and didn't want to pay the extra for a 3rd. But the kids would really like this game so I'm tempted. I guess I'll have to have them try the ol' 'total' on it for me to see if it is discounted. They really don't like doing that though (mentioned this before - they claim too many voided transactions bring down the wrath of corporate on their heads).

And Roufuss, I was considering changing my avatar as well - but I've had this one for so long it would probably throw people off, especially considering how different my new one was going to be :D. I'll do it anyway.

Finally found Red Ninja (one) after weeks of Circuit City searches. I guess all you okies keep grabbing em.

I guess I'll be on a quest to save for a PS3. :D

I hope it's still worth $27 next week. I just might order some online.

Has anyone seen Capcom Classics Collection Remixed PSP at their Gamerushes? I saw the preorder box, but not the actual game... they keep the games locked up in a small cabinet with the spines out, but they stack games in front of games =/

Eyetoy Play 2 was also stickered and placed in the 50% off section at my local store. If you don't want to bother with the hassle of ringing it up there then grab it at bestbuy for the same price with a GGC($25).

also I forgot to mention some trade-in values from yesterday:

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex(PS2)- $19

Eyetoy: Groove(ps2)- $12.50(amazing considering they sell it new for $15)

Well, it is definitely not the same as I'd much rather use existing GR credit, plus I've never been able to find a GGC in the last 2 years. If it has been seen at 2 stores that way it must be a system-wide thing. I'll just ask to buy it and say I thought it was going to ring up less than $50 if it doesn't :D.

Thanks a TON for that Eye Toy Groove price. I know it was lower than that at one point. I'm taking one of those in for sure, as I had picked up an extra cheap at CC.

Damn all you avatar changers.

Heh.. that's funny you heard that. Because when I was getting shit for returning Mario Golf (since it wasn't 50% off), he was like "You're returning it instead of just saying you didn't want it when it didn't ring up half off?" Wonder if they hate returns more than voids. Probably. But they can still shove it.

Well, I think you guys played an April Fools prank on me.

EyeToy Groove only trades for $2.50, which is what it has been for a while I think. And EyeToy Play 2 is NOT part of the sale - at least not automatically. If you guys weren't pulling my leg it must have been marked down manually at your stores. They pulled it out for me, scanned it, totalled it, came up $49.99.

So, all in all, a wasted trip except that I was able to return my movie :D.

It was FAR too crowded in there to check on Beatmania or the PSP game Roufuss - sorry, you know, Saturday night movie renters...

They did have a stack of Tetris DS by the game counter (WHICH WAS ACTUALLY MANNED tonight for the first time in ages) but it turns out they were display copies that they were setting up for an endcap. Now, why they are putting 4 display cases out for a game they only have 1 of on order (and I intend to buy) is beyond me. I guess for the same reason they had a display copy of Chibi-Robo when the only copy they got of that was my preorder.

Nah I wasn't playing a prank on you. I was quoted the $12.50 for the eyetoy groove w/camera(I declined to trade it in), I even double checked that he had in fact said $12.50.
As far as Eyetoy Play 2 goes it was in my 50% off section with the blue sticker and everything. I don't know if that was accidental or if there is some variance between stores(I seem to remember someone saying it varies with store stock levels), but Conflict Global Terror which was on the main list, is not part of the sale in my stores.

Sorry about that, wasn't trying to fool you or anything.

Picked up 4 Red Ninjas at 2 Circuit City's today. \\:D/

TIP: If you can't find RN's at your local CC, make a list beforehand of local CCs you're willing to drive to then ask the CSR at your local CC to do an inventory check of the other stores. That's how I got mine today as the 2 CC's had a stock of 2 each. Traded in 3 of them today, going to do the 4th tomorrow... hopefully it will still trade in at $27.

On a side note, I picked up a non-GH version of JAK II when looking in the bargain bin at CC. I thought the stickered price of $10.96 was a good deal but it rang up at $8.96! Anybody know if it's any good? I still have a backlog of games to play because of this damned site. :joystick:

May Blockbuster/Gamerush live on til PS3 launch!!! :applause:

HELP!!!!!

Does anyone know where I can find a list of recent CC pricedrops? I noticed they had Red Mercury there today for $1.99....about 10 copies in stock.

Has anyone scooped up a PSP at GR?

Red ninja has pumped up my credit to handheld worthy levels and I finally decided to pull the trigger/shoulder button.

My local GR has zero in stock and supposedly no future prospects on order.

I am most curious if they will be receiving any of the $199 bundles which I have seen in a few BB and CC stores.

Sometimes shopping at GR feels like ordering tater tots on the titanic and they ran out of ketchup.

daily update about my lover Red Ninja:

the price is up to 10.00 at Circuit City b/c the 25% off Cool Deal games is over

here is the important part: still $27 at Blockbuster/Gamerush

i love you Red Ninja!

Trade in Update:

Red Ninja- $27 (I saw that I wasn't the only one in my area taking advantage of this.)

Conquers: Live and Reloaded- $6

Star Wars Controllers (ToysRus promo) $3

Got my credit up to $93 (including previous trade in's)

Here's hoping Red Ninja's 27 for another week and that Gamerush is open till the PS3 comes out.:D

find Red Ninja in Gamestop/Ebgames and buy 3 copies..then trade them in =P

(Circuit city price is up to 10.00 now so just get it from EB/GS)

Ah, see, it was WITH CAMERA which you didn't say at first. However, this brings up an interesting issue. Groove without camera is $2.50. When I asked about EyeToy cameras themselves several weeks ago (before the sale) they were $6 or so. However, given that GR doesn't require original case/manual, what is to stop me from trading in a copy of Groove and my camera (which actually came from Antigrav) and getting the "EyeToy Groove with camera" trade-in price? Because I would definitely do that for $12.50.

Of course, I'd have to get them to manually look up the "with camera" price as I wouldnt have the original box. But then I imagine most people don't keep those big EyeToy w/camera game boxes and just keep the game case and camera, so this would be a common thing on these trades. It's just that they don't get many of these kinds of trades. I have to decide if my extra EyeToy camera + all the potential hassle = $10 extra in GR credit. :whistle2:k

Edit - OK, I'm changing my avatar again... :D

I found your GC Prince of Persia : Sands of Time. The thing is . It is shrink wrapped and not clear foil wrapped. I saw 2 copies both were the same. I am not sure if this game came this way or was repackaged. Let me know if you still want it. It had the new price tag on it.

Different avatar, same theme.

So let me throw out a list... all these games are currently not available at Gamerush / not ever coming / or just simply late:

Metroid Prime Hunters
Tetris DS
Dragonball Z Shin Budokai
Capcom Classics Collection
Beatmania
Guitar Hero

I know the first two are inbound some day, maybe the third and fourth, and the last two they'll never receive? I'm tempted to just sell the credit I do have, because it seems like a waste if I just use the credit to get something like Pursuit Force, which is bound for cheap prices anyways.

Well, there are some older GC titles that came wrapped that way. Can anyone else confirm if their PoP:SoT at GR came this way? On the other hand, I did return a copy of Kingdom Hearts (the first one) at GR because I realized when I got home that it had been re-wrapped. I picked up another at a regular BB that was sealed normally. But PS2 games are always wrapped with the folded ends, GC games vary.

I'm inclined to think it's OK. Of course, a quick search of the ones for sale on eBay shows nothing but stock photos (damn lazy assed sellers).

What did you want in exchange? You can respond in PM - just wanted to post this to the board to see if anyone else who picked up a PoP for GC can say how it is shrinkwrapped. D'oh, almost forgot, I have a copy of PoP Warrior Within that I got from Target on clearance - it is wrapped the same way (with the cheapo shrink) so maybe Ubisoft just does it this way??

Edit - I should also add that I'm looking for Full Metal Alchemist 2, only because I got the first one during this sale (YMMV, it was mistagged and they manually added the discount for me). Beyond an initial rush of sales during this "clearance" they haven't sold much and pretty much all the games that were there 3 weeks ago are still sitting there, so I can get quite a bit for trading. And I think most of that initial rush was me, anyway :D.

I've noticed the same thing at my local GR stores too. Most of the 50% off stuff hasn't gone anywhere. Think they'll bump it up to 75% at some point?

Could be -- keep in mind that quite a few of the gamecube and gba titles are ones that were part of the 30% off sale this summer.

Just a question about Red Ninja....

I stopped by my local GR and they had just put out some "new" used games, one of them being Red Ninja(xbox). It was tagged as $19.99 used, has it walways been that price?
If not then could that signal a trade-in value change for Red Ninja?
