Please note: The 50% off prices will not show on the registers until the employee hits the "Total" button.

Game Pass

Rent unlimited games for a month. You can have one game (or 2 depending on the pass) out at a time and can return it whenever you want and switch it out as many times as you want.

$21.99 for 1 Game

http://www.gamerush.com/rules_gamepass.php click this link to find out about gamepass at Gamerush.

You must have a credit card/check card to signup. Checkcard must be visa, mc, amex, dc, or diners club. You can also do it by getting a prepaid visa, mc, dc or amex card with at least $1 on it so it will clear the authorization and just pay for it each month (very tedious though). You can cancel at any time. Good on any rental game (gamecube, psp, nds, gba, xbox, ps2).

Think there's any chance of the next batch of 50% clearance titles will include any of the older Xbox 360 releases?

I have no idea what games are on the new list as it has not been sent to Blockbusters yet.

The list will probably be sent out to Blockbusters by Friday, but I will not have access to it until Monday.

As far as the price drops that I listed, all of those prices are already active.

I'm done with Gamerush for good I think... if anyone wants to buy about $100 worth of Gamerush credit that's in the Tampa Bay area, send me a PM, I already have one offer on the table and I'll look at others, you've all got until Friday.

The Gamerush pre-order wall here is a joke... boxes for Metroid Prime Hunters, Tetris DS, Final Fight Streetwise, Capcom Classics Collection, and Suikoden V (which is already out on the shelf right next to this one). Employees that don't know shit... when I asked about Tetris, they said its not in but I can preorder it.. I said "Sure, ok" and when they said "Oh, it's not in yet, was supposed to be here almost three weeks ago" I just said "Oh, what a surprise" and left.

Still no Tetris or Metroid Prime, or any of the PSP games they are late on or just aren't getting. It's pretty sad when I have store credit at a video game store and there is absolutely zero to spend it on. Every game I want from April - August GR isn't going to get, either. I will never spend another cent in there, unless it's something I can flip for real money. As much as I'd love to get King of Swing for $19.99, Gamerush can blow me... I've never decided to completely exclude my business from one store, but I guess there is a first time for everything.

I'll still visit this thread, but only to find good games to trade in, to turn that credit into gift cards to turn that into real money, so I can spend it at a different store. I honestly can't wait for the day Blockbuster closes up shop, because GR went down the tubes quick.

As much as people love to bash EB / GS, I can guarantee spending $100 there wouldn't be a problem.

Roufuss, I can understand where you are coming from, but the crux behind why GameRush has had such great deals is the very fact that they don't know what the hell they are doing.

I just called my GR. She said it looks like they only have one Tetris coming in and it's a pre-order. She said she doubts they'll even get anymore.

Can you just get cash or do you have to use an in store credit?
But seriously, Roufuss, you should at least stick it out to see what's in the new 50% clearance list. If nothing else, you can probably eBay some of those and get a little bit more back for your credit than selling the gift card.

But STILL no Tetris/Metroid. Damn, I really expected it to be today. Did anyone hear that they got an email saying there would be another delay (as I heard from my GR last week)?
Based on the selection at all the GR's, there is only very few games that will pull anything on Ebay... hell, I think there were only 3 or 4 games out of this selection that even pulled in a decent profit.

At this rate, I'd just like to get my Mom her Tetris DS... I'm still doubling my initial amount I spent on the Red Ninja's if I take the offer for the cards I already have, so I'm not losing any money at all.

And no, my Gamerush didn't get an email... the fuckers were trying to get me to preorder the game today. Either that, or they told me they sold out, which isn't possible since they never got it in.

They must be on the outs with Capcom too, because they still don't have Final Fight Streetwise or Capcom Classics Collection.

And don't forget Namco - whatever happened to Tales of Legendia? :D

As for the employees knowing about the email, probably only one person reads those so you'd have to talk to the right person, and they would have had to be paying attention to the emails. I didn't hear this last week from the first 3 people I talked to - they were all as clueless about it as ever. But the one guy (former GR guy who is back working in the store now) mentioned this to me. And he made it sould like it was ANOTHER email - as if they had gotten one the week before telling him those games wouldn't be in the week of release. This is what happened with Batallion Wars, except in that case they actually had a date when it would finally get to the stores, and it actually did arrive on that date. That's why I'm curious - there might be a specific date for these that someone at some GR knows about :D.

All I heard was a guy telling me in an exasperated voice that they didn't have them in as soon as I asked, followed by blaming distribution and having no idea when it would get in.

Thanks shipwreck....I'll have to checkback later for the accessories. Do they automatically ring up 50% off? My store has NO signage whatsoever anywhere in the store.

Oh well...worse thing that happens is I get a 360 memory card for $30 (that is their USED price). I want one for when NCAA 07 football arrives (roster updates!)
With all these eyetoys being clearanced out any recomendations on which one to get?
From what I've read, EyeToy Spy is the only one that really stinks. I've played Antigrav, Play 1 & 2, Groove, Sega Superstars, and Kinetic and they were all fun at least for a little while. Sega SS was definitely my favorite of them all.

That Antigrav deal for $10 will be hard to beat! That's even better than the $15 one with Groove at K-Mart 50% off! Snag one if you can!

The EyeToy that comes with Kinetic is the newer small silver one if you specifically want the new version. Sears still has Kinetic with Camera for $25 last time I checked.
Anyone know how much The Outfit, Dynast Warriors and NBA2k6 will get me all for 360?
Don't do The Outfit. I'm having trouble selling my new copy for a decent price.

Yea... none of the GR's here have it, I just checked in store today :(

Another small note, I think that $39.99 for that game is a rip...especially since the console version started at $19.99 and some of the other Capcom titles are releasing on PSP at $29.99.

Megaman Maverick Hunter, Powered Up were $29.99.
Anyone know how long it might take for me to get my copies of GunGriffon: Allied Strike from Gamefly?
In the BB coupon thread they said it takes up to 48 hours to activate an account on Gamefly, then 3 days to ship.

wouldn't it be nice if GR occasionally got additional copies of hot games after they sell out?

friggin graw

lol I never noticed that... do they really not restock on games like that once they sell out?

Try GC they give u 35-36 in trade if ur a MVP member. Good for ur next game and less cash to spend.

Picked up an AntiGrav bundle. It was even marked 9.99 . Now time to return the Groove bundle( $15). Laready picked up Groove at CC clearance. Now gotta find Sega , Play and Play 2 cheap .

Pickup 2 games today at GR

EyeToy: Antigrav w/ Cam $9.99
Dynasty Warriors (GBA) $9.99

Also, I saw Rally Sport Challenge 2 $8.49 after 50% off.

Also, Scored 1 copy "GunGriffon" (XBOX) at Ebgames with misprice sticker for $7.99 after taxes. I did trade -in at GR for $25.XX after taxes :)

Went in to GR tonight and had a mix of good and bad, as usual :D.

First the good: They had just gotten in a Wavebird for trade and I was able to snag it for all of $8.49. And it is absolutely mint to boot - looks like it was just opened, still has the original batteries even.

Also, I was peering into their locked PS2 case and I noticed the EyeToy Play 2 games were marked $29.99. This is down from the $49.99 they were just last week (when I tried to buy 1 to see if it was 50% off which it was not), so this must have been a price reduction. I picked that up as well. Watch it go on the new clearance list next week now :D. Oh well, I'll hold off opening it until then anyway. I also noticed that the PSP Dynasty Warriors that has been sitting in their clearance section was marked $29.99 now. Wasn't that $49.99 before? I also saw Antigrav marked $9.99. It looks like they were really on top of the price drops this time.

Some trade-in prices:
Arc the Lad End of Darkness: $24
A slight possibility for credit building if you have a Fry's nearby - this game is $15.12 at Fry's (yeah, wierd price).

Now the bad: OK, so I had tried to trade in EyeToy Groove (game only) last week (after someone here said it was $12.50) and it was $2.50. But it turns out they had been talking about the game and camera, so I asked about that today. Turns out they adjusted ALL the EyeToy prices down. The camera itself only gets $3 now, and EyeToy Groove with camera gets $6. But for whatever reason it didn't work when he scanned it so he looked in a book for this price. So that may be YMMV. But the camera definitely dropped from $6 to $3. And now I have 4 of them . I wonder if EB maybe gives better credit for these? I never thought I'd hear myself saying that :D.

They had a printed email about Tetris and Metroid - the official word is delayed with "no new information" on when they will be in. So that's that I guess... Maybe next week, maybe never. They also had a printed list of preorders and the only DS games on it were Metroid, Tetris, and 1 other that I can't remember (though I know they have Tao's Adventure, Lost Magic, and Mage Knight in the system so obviously the list was incomplete).

Edit - Oh yeah, I also asked about about any new games going on clearance (hoping to scoop Shipwreck ;) ) but all the info they had was that GR was "considering" adding more games. No surprise, really, as they didn't even have a list when the last sale started.

I appreciate it... looks like my credit is going up for sale then.

Elmyra, Berzerker, any of you want to throw a price for it? $100 worth of credit, already have one offer that I'll end up taking unless someone else throws down another one.

I'll be surprised if Gamerush ever gets in Odama.

I'm just real glad you came through, io.

Gamestop give $2.XX for eyetoy camera then they sell it expensive! Also, i'll call GS/EB see how much trade-in EyeToy: Antigra w/ cam ;)

Thank you Shipwreck for the heads up on the GR price adjustments.

I dropped by this eve and snagged:

Burnout Legends PSP - $29.99 (still stickered $49.99)
Half Life 2 - $19.99 (still stickered $29.99)

GR guys eyes just about popped out his damn head. He knows I know that he knows I know something cuz I've already scooped up some memory cards at the discount rate and a few accessories as well.

You know you've got a bad business plan when the customer is spinning circles around your employees.

I got sick of waiting and traded in a mess of stuff at EB to get two copies of Tetris DS -- one for me and one for my wife. I probably only got 60% of what GameRush gives, but at least I got the damn games I wanted. Credit with nothing to spend it on is pretty useless. Right, Roufuss? ;)

Sorry, money's real tight right now for a few weeks, then ill be gettin a nice 20k from my rents (finally paying me back money ive loaned them over the last 3 years).

I don't usually deal with GameRush, but I amassed a chunk of trade-in credit specifically for Metroid and Tetris. Is this sort of thing par for the course with GR? I mean, I kind of figured they wouldn't get in stock as quickly as EB/Gamestop, but this shite is ridiculous. I was thinking of saving my cred for a future DS Lite pre-order, but if this is the kind of thing I can expect from them I'll just take some merch and run.

Though it has varied from store to store, I had actually had really good experiences with them the last few months (prior to Metroid/Tetris). Most of my preorders were in on the Tuesday or Wednesday of release, which wasn't much different from most stores. But this has happened before with other games. Some you can expect like Atlus releases, some (like Battalion Wars and Tales of Legendia - not sure if that one has come in yet) defy logic.

If not for the fact that my Metroid and Tetris preorders are probably costing me somewhere closer around $10 each, I would have cancelled it long ago and picked it up elsewhere.

I think the DS games situation is going to be the standard for DS games. Ever since they stopped renting DS games, they rarely get DS games the week they launch if they get them at all. For every other system they seem to get the games in a day or two after the shipping date. (This excludes games from publishers that they don't carry of course and GameCube games sometimes come a week later).

I wouldn't pre-order any DS games from GR anymore. There are only a handful of GR stores across the nation and they all only order 1-3 copies of most games, so I'm guessing they aren't very high up on Nintendo's list of shipping priorities. Without the rental copies that were ordered at every Blockbuster, Nintendo could care less about Blockbuster's business.
So, preordering a revo from them may not be a good idea?
I would assume they would get systems...I'm just waitign for when they start taking PS3 pre-orders to use my credit.
So, preordering a revo from them may not be a good idea?
I've yet to see any problems with console pre-orders, so that's where I'm still planning on pre-ordering.

I'm going to have to pass, but thanks. Maybe you should go the gift card/eBay route?

I wonder what kind of titles we'll see on this new addition of games to the 50% sale, any word yet or at least hints besides price drops? I can't wait for more $10 games! :)

I was told today that they would probably get the list either Friday or Saturday.

Yeah, everyone has pretty much covered it, but even with the DS games they aren't consistent. Games like Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and more recently, Super Princess Peach they all got in right on time, in line with other stores. All of those were after they ditched DS rentals. As for console releases, they are generally OK, but they got Batallion Wars in 2 weeks late last Sep (?) and Tales of Legendia they have never gotten in (still have my copy on order as of last night ). But, until now, they really haven't been this bad with DS games (the only one I preordered that they never got was Viewtiful Joe Double Trouble) - it certainly hasn't been par for the course so far. Hopefully it won't become that way. We'll see if it is a Nintendo issue if they get Odama (for GC) in next week, or if it is only a Nintendo published DS game issue. I have a few non-Nintendo DS games preordered for later in April as well - we'll see how those go too. Though I know they didn't get Tao's Adventure in (though the only place I have seen that is Fry's so it was somewhat limited in release).

As for the DS Lite, who knows. I sure wouldn't expect to get one on the first day, but they might get some in after the initial wave. I'm sure they will get the Revo though.

If they drop DS games all together I will be very disappointed. Until the PS3/Revo come out I planned on using my credit there to pick up all the decent DS releases this year. There isn't much on the GC or even PS2 that I want to get (that GR will carry - would love to get Disgaea 2 and Atelier Iris 2 but that ain't gonna happen). My EB credit is very limited and I don't want to have to use it for all the DS games. It would suck, if, after the upcoming additions to the sale list, all I had to buy from GR was the new systems in November.

They really need to add more DS games to that 50% clearance list - then maybe their DS game sales will spike and they will think they need to carry more :D. I've been waiting for a cheap WarioWare Touched for quite a while now (why is it games I hold off on buying never clearance anywhere?? Like this one and Death Jr.).

Traded in:
THUG 2 Remix (PSP) - $18.00
Bloodrayne 2 (Xbox) - $3.00
Super Monkey Ball Deluxe - $3.50

Picked up:
Timesplitters Future Perfect - $10.00 (50% off)
Eye Toy w/Groove - $15.00 (50% off)
Zone of Enders The 2nd Runner - $16.99 (I've haven't seen it for quite a while and it's in excellent condition. Having credit made it an easier decision)

I think Warioware TOuched was on clearance at Sears for $15 .
man, now io has switched personalities on us too
Eh?

Does this help (avatar changed back)?

As for WarioWare, yeah I think I remember that on CAG. But $15 ain't cheap enough for me. Now $15 at GR would be good :D. But it would have to be $10 or less in real money.

I too finally got tired of waiting and traded in my old DC and a few games to pick up Tetris and Metroid at a local Mom n Pop that deals in the older stuff

(I didn't have to trade, I wanted to. I never played my DC and the games I had weren't as good as my rose-colored memories thought, anyway.)

Now I'll just spend my Gamerush credit on 360 games. I've already got BF2 pre-ordered and I'll probably pick up Burnout Revenge and Tomb Raider (the Live demo seduced me). After that, there's nothing for months.

Does anyone else get antsy about having $250+ sitting on a gamerush gift card? What if they went out of business, my wallet was stolen, or one of the employees manually entered the cardnumber and spent the money. I'd be screwed. If it's on the card I assume it's "like cash" and Gamerush wouldn't help me. But there's just not that much I want right now.

Thanks again Shipwreck for the heads up on the Anti-grav and Fire Emblem:SS:D. Even though I had to go out of my way to this GR, its nice to know they have what I wanted and have friendly service too. Also the lady assured me they are getting a list of new clearance games and it would be put out no later than this Tuesday.

Not really... I have a lot of Gamerush credit I'm waiting to unload on PS3, games and accessories. I don't know about other people, but with all of my gift/value cards I have I write down the numbers on the back of the card. Blockbuster has a policy of replacing the card if it gets lost BUT you need the number. I assume they will render the lost card unusable and generate a new card with the amount that is left (hopefully no one has spent all of it!)
What if they went out of business...

As for the going out of business, NetFlix is suing Blockbuster for patent infringement with their online rental service... This turn of events does not bode well for us Blockbuster/Gamerush CAGs... BUT...

May Blockbuster/Gamerush live on til PS3 launch!!!:applause:
