With trade in you get an additional $10 buck's off a new game $39.00 or up. I walked out with a new Return of the King GCN, & still had $20 in credit, which is what I paid for the BB games in the first place .
They are still also running the buy one used get a 2nd for 1/2 price sale.

This is what bothers me. I try and find some cheap ass games at BB but people like you pick them up intending to trade them or sell them and not allow people like me to get a copy for myself.

next time something that is cheap you want is gone, remember someone like you is trying to make a profit.
 
i agree, theres only so far you could take it. im happy i got what i got and would love to trade what i have for ones i couldnt get, not because im greedy, but because different people want different games and i am more than willing to make someone happy with a five dollar game.
 
Every CAG for himself (or herself) is the way I look at it. My BB had been somewhat raped already, but hey... When you're as cheap as me, things can get pretty dirty. Everything goes. :p
 
point of a message board is "community" far too many people forget that. its a good idea to trade them in, villianess , not my style. heres my style:

copped ps0 1 and 2 for my boy in cali
picked up a game i dont even have the system for cause i saw someone wanted it

When I say every man for himself, it means I am on no ones team and I know that. I don't expect people to pick up games for me, help me out, or leave me copies of games, and I most certainly will not do it for them. Of course, to be a community you have to help each other out in the sense of exposing deals or whatever, and I'll gladly do that. BUT... When it comes down to a toddler pondering over whether or not to buy a certain game game which I could buy for $10 and sell for $30, I'm gonna take every last copy of it right there in front of his face. He wants it for entertainment, I want it for basically the same purpose. Money dictates my life.

Hey, I'm a helluva nice guy and I like my fellow CAG's, but this is serious business, here.

Anyways, this has gotten pretty off topic.... so... :shock: :p :D

There are some here that come to CAG because they love gaming and collecting games, and there are others that just want to make some cash and take advantage of it all. Unfortunately, if you really want to make it a community atmosphere, these boards would need to be private.

And.. of course america is like that.. we're a capitalist society. Nobody said capitalism was perfect .

I didn't pick up mutiple titles of anything! One each of what I wanted.There were alot I couldn't find that I wanted

I got a few games, some I liked and some I thought sucked, so I traded them. So don't give me that "people like you" crap. I have helped a few people out on this board picking up thing's for them and never once tried to make a profit from another Cag. Just assumeing I did something & posting it just pisses me off.
 
fwiw, i just asked bb out of curiousity what rogue ops is worth for GCN

they said $1.50 but it's on their previously owned shelf for 39.99

You didn't really do anything wrong - you just didn't explain your situation in your original post. There's no reason why you should have to justify your actions just to satisfy the whiner population on this board, but it never hurts.

Some people gets mad when they cant get something for a cheap price, then starts to blame on others. There's no need to hate someone because u cant get what u want. I didnt get anything from BB this time, so better luck next time.

evil dead probably does suck, but i like the flick and for some reason, five bucks makes it not suck so bad. i would appreciate if you saw one you hooking a brother up.

Didn't think I had to explain my actions. Let's face it, alot of these $5 BB titles are dog's. Alot of people will be disapointed in some of them as I was and will be tradeing them. I thought some people would benifit from knowing what they go for. That's what I get for trying to contribute to this site instead of being a lurker.
 
I still say we should start a CAG Task Force...

Its mission: To Save all CAG'ers cash by purchasing mass quantities of massively discounted games, then reselling them at cost to the CAG community.

I don't know any current ones, but I asked about Robotech:Battlecry a few weeks back and it was $7.50.

Well, I hope there's more than 4, because I can think of 4 near me right now without even trying. But that's because I live near Dallas, and that's where Blockbuster's corporate headquarters are from what I've been told. Hopefully they will expand a little more.

Agreed, I could use some more gamestores around here. In the local mall, all I have is GameStop, Funcoland, and Planet X, which are all under the same management, since they're all owned by the same corporation, and always try to jack up the prices of games. The first time I went in there and saw a new game listed at $54.99, I was outraged.
There's also an EB near me, but it's kinda small, and they never seem to have any good deals. I just found a Game Crazy store, but it's like 45 minutes from my house :(

Remember when EB tried this for a while? Maybe it was a limited market trial for something, but for a couple weeks, all new games at the EBs around me were $52.99. It was about the time Gran Turismo 3 came out because I remember that's how much it was on my receipt. Then, just as suddenly as the new prices appeared, all of a sudden they dropped back to $49.99, the de facto standard price of a video game.
 
Yeah, but at that time you could also return a game if you didn't like it. It was kinda worth it to spend a couple more buck's just for that option.
 
the strawberries where i live does that, with tax, it adds about $5 to the cost of the game, making some deals there virtually worthless

Honestly if someone were to list their games for the trade in prices (instead of $5) everyone would complain and it would turn into a huge flame thread
