This is such a serious philosophical question, it makes me want to go out on a quest and find out why this is so. I plan to break into the HQ of both Amazon and GameStop and demand to know why this happens.

What!? Games have different prices!? Unbelievable!!! Someone should make a site that keeps track of that!! ...

instead of being stupid #$#$# if you dont have nothing to add to people post then dont add...

Question Why the different in price .... is it just sales or something else

looking at other sites

Spectral Force Genesis Ds MSRP shows 19.99 but some places show 29.99 while others show 19.99

amazon did have this game for 19.99 last thanksgiving before jacking it up to 29.99

Was just point something out

Lot of people hating on slidecage's grammar.

:*(

I think people wouldn't have given you as much trouble if you mentioned "MSRP differences" in the op slidecage instead of just saying "Games have different prices"

But these threads always end up for swell reading ;P

I always make sure to buy my Atlus games from the highest priced retailer, so if Atlus gets all of the money that they deserve. If Mom complains, I remind her that I'm her son, and therefore she is obligated to love me forever and buy me whatever I want, despite the fact that I am 24 years old, living deep inside of a well under her house, unable to move because of my great girth.

MSRP = Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price. It's by no means an "end all, be all", it's merely a guideline for what the manufacturer believes their item should sell for.

List or MSRP prices are usually updated through electronic feeds - one such feed is an Onyx feed, there is also an ASN feed, among a few others. Companies that have more updated systems usually have less constraints on what they can receive and/or a lack of checks and balances as to what is paid on the initial order PO. List prices that aren't changed are sometimes not changed with the retailer due to the fact that the publisher did not provide a markdown for their existing stock, etc. There are a lot of reasons why two retailers would not have the same list/MSRP for an item. Now you know.
