Games to buy?
I'd recommend Everyday Shooter. Well worth the money. Simple, addicting, great for losing yourself for a few minutes.
Calling All Cars is good for some multiplayer mayhem.
As for demos. Since they're all free, just try them all and see what you like.

Stardust HD is the best game on there IMHO. I still like it better than Everyday shooter.
