Trying to be a good little cheap ass gamer, I searched the net for an affordable new copy of Final Fantasy VI Advance. After some looking, I found a copy at games-stock.com for only $13.80. Of course I thought this seemed too good to be true, but it was pretty damn cheap considering it sells new for a heck of a lot more most other places. Well, I got it today and my suspicions were confirmed. While it appears to be a fully playable version of the game it is obviously a pirated copy. The box itself came flattened out and looked it's graphics were blurry and misaligned.

So just wanted to throw it out there. If you order from this site there is a good chance you're going to be getting a pirated game.

Damn! Haha, definately didn't see that 114 games in 1 cartridge thing. Yeah, that might have made me a wee more suspicious. I went right to the game on the site via a google search and just jumped at it without looking around... Guess I'll know better for next time.

No doubt their main offices are located in some country that Nintendo's legal department will have no influence on.

But pirate GBA carts have become so common it's impossible to not find them. Gamestops get them, and I suspect a large number of "cartridge only, no box" copies on Amazon might be bootlegs. Thankfully, my copy of Sonic Advance 2 came today and was fully legit.

It wouldn't be such a problem but most of these carts are made with inferior hardware that's not guaranteed to work. Many seem to have save batteries which die in a week.

So you're saying that if the bootlegs were made with better quality components, you'd have no problem with them?

Leave.

Did you do a chargeback on your credit card? You shouldn't have to pay for that crap and they shouldn't be paid for it.
