GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Well JJ,

Good news? All the games that came out today ended up shipping anyways. Obviously that's good news for me but the question mark is that I worry about the fact that you may have been charged ON TOP of any hold that may have been placed, unnecessarily tying up your credit it. It's unlikely, but I can't help but worry about stuff that sometimes borders on impossible.

On a completely awesome note though, I just have to share the news that that's not the only bit of good luck I've had today. I JUST got an email inviting me to participate in the SC2 beta :D I'm totally geeked to finally play it.

emjaymj, yeah actually that's the case (unfortunately). They had the hold on the funds and then they charged me on top of that which put my bank account (my personal account as it were) in the negatives...doh! To add insult to injury, my bank account charged me a $35 Overdraft fee, which washes out any money I would have made on the sale. Ouch.

I have to go make an emergency bank run now to deposit some funds. Sucks =P I'm glad they shipped the games, but in the future I will definitely not be using other people's accounts to order games for this reason. It's not your fault though. Gotta run to the bank now. The weekend is almost here (THANK GOD)!

Wow I'm really sorry, I DO feel kind of responsible for it though sometimes I wonder about the costs you absorb behind the scenes. I'm on a fixed income at the moment and as you can probably tell, I've been really impulsive this month (kind of scary realizing how little I have left for the next week and a half), but I hope all the stuff I ended up with in your recent lowball helps to cover that overdraft fee, as well as the 10 or so orders I have in progress with you ATM. With the auction I thought thought I was hedging my bets by playing the field (most of it I wanted or knew somebody who would really appreciate it) but ended up winning way more than I actually intended.... total lowball newbie obviously :) I've been like a serious CAG addict this last month lol....

But seriously the overdraft fees in the US must be absolutely criminal. And I understand it can be charged multiple times a day too, for every transaction, no matter how small? I believe my bank here is legally restricted to charging me $5 in overdraft fees PER MONTH... plus applicable interest of course (in my case it's 21%, like a not so great credit card.) Wait, I just realized though that this was a credit card. Kind of ridiculous that a bank can rob you blind these days by charging for the things that used to be automatic because they were stupidly simple. A limit should be a limit, if you hit that limit, what was wrong with just declining the transaction? Now they have to be sneaky and rape you for it, and even have the balls to offer paid services to protect from overdrawing on the supposed "limit."

BTW, not to sound callous, but there are more 2 more games remaining to be shipped among next week's releases, and then that's it for that particular order, the rest being a lot of non-game related package forwards. Probably Monday. Do you think it will be worked out by then for just those 2 games?

Also, I'm severely sleep-deprived (medically-related, my doctor really screwed me over yesterday), but please know that I am enormously appreciative of all the things you've done for me and the especially the extra effort and help you gave me when you really didn't have to, sometimes way exceeding my expectations and so it's difficult not to feel a little responsible but all I can do at this point is hope that my past and future business more than make up for it.

Hey goomba, sorry to bug you, any update on orders #1199 and #1207?

Checked the tracking number i got from the package forwarding on 1207 and it says it got delivered on may 5th, just wanted to check to see if you had received it, thats the one for bayonetta and neir on 360. The first one was just a normal DR for valkyria chronicles.

any update would be great if you had time, thanks!

Hi Goomba,
Your last whirlwind update mentioned 19 Paypal items to process - would that include old invoices? I paid my invoice the day I got it (May 13) but it still reads "awaiting payment". I'm guessing GYROS is just behind the times?

ya, think Goomba said he'd update it during the weekend.

hey goomba its been about 3 weeks since I ordered tales of vesperia xbox360 and put it in PF. You have shipped it out right? my order is 904151411

Might actually be in the backlog just like the item I ordered, ordered item about same time you did but don't think item has been shipped yet. We'll probably get some updates this weekend on Gyros.

emjaymj, again it's not your fault so don't feel bad. It's partially Gamestop's fault and partially Bank of America's...but yeah the overdraft charges here are criminal. They can charge up to $35.00 per fee and up to 3 fees per DAY. It's really insane when you think about it. After I pay off my BOA cards I'm honestly considering to move my funds to a local bank that isn't so greedy with their fees. The future orders should be fine as the bank account was only depleted this week because of the holds, the rent and all that jazz. As of next week it should be a lot better and not be an issue. You're welcome for the service though :) I'll get all the kinks worked out. That's the whole reason I'm taking this week and next week to really tighten things around the GFC service. We're getting there!

As promised guys, I will be shipping out a TON of items Friday, Saturday & Sunday this week and will be fully updated the GYROS by Sunday 100% for all orders. Forgive me for not knowing the status of all of them off the top of my head (I'm at my University job now) but I will double and triple check all orders this weekend. Again, this purging of the backlog is a serious thing for me as I really hate nothing more than keeping you guys waiting for your items. It will clear up my finances, clear up my office space and clear up my backlog (and numerous Emails about past orders). We'll be all updated by Sunday. You have my word =-)

** Goomba's GFC Schedule This Week **

Wednesday: 05/19/2010 - 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM = Packing & Shipping DR/PF Orders.
Thursday: 05/20/2010 - 9:00 PM - 2:00 AM = Packing & Shipping DR/PF Orders.
Friday: 05/21/2010 - 8:00 PM - 2:00 AM = Packing & Shipping DR/PF Orders.
Saturday: 05/22/2010 - 6:00 PM - 2:00 AM = Packing & Shipping DR/PF Orders.
Sunday: 05/23/2010 - 11:00 AM - 2:00 AM = Packing & Shipping DR/PF Orders. UPDATE ALL GYROS.
Monday: 05/24/2010 - Re-Open DR Service. Start site upgrade coding.

Wow, just read what happened, that's some highway robbery. Does BoA not have overdraft protection free of charge? Hope this week's schedule goes smoothly :D

I have contacted the bank and they CLAIM they will refund the $35 fee, but have yet to do so. We'll see...if they don't then as I said, I'm seriously considering to change banks even though overall I do like Bank of America. I've been with them for 7 years now, but they've been doing a lot of shady things lately. I deserve to be treated better as a customer. I'll get it all straightened out :) Thanks.

USPS is closed on Sundays, but I ship from home so I use a program called "Endicia" which lets me print valid USPS shipping labels. So when I say I'm shipping from home on Sunday I mean more like packing the items, printing the labels and all that. The packages packed on Sunday will ship out on Monday morning :) Hope that makes sense.

Penetratingpincer, yeah I've heard (mostly) good things about Washington Mutual, though now they're part of Chase so I don't know. Banks can be such a pain when they want to be. And don't get me started on Paypal :)

So RoganSarine, you want to have me order this bag and forward it to you directly or would you prefer I mail it to your friend? Let me know. Either way I can help you tonight with this :) Thanks!

I did PuppetDoctor but I haven't been able to invoice you yet as I just got home and am having dinner with the wife. I will do so around 8:00 tonight. Thanks!

Alright, thanks for the update Goomba and take your time with the invoice. Just wanted to make sure you got the order =). Have a nice meal.

Puppet Doctor, Gamestop is saying I can't order the Super Street Fighter IV from them since I already purchased the game before (it's limited to one per household). I'm going to try still but if it doesn't work then I'll have to refund you in full. Cross your fingers.

Alright, I understand and thank you for the update. If it doesn't work out then its alright since there will probably be another deal down the road. I already got it for the PS3 anyways but I wanted it for the Xbox 360 to play against my friend.

Also if it doesn't work out then forget about the other two games, and just give me a full refund please and thank you.

PuppetDoctor, if you don't mind a slightly used copy I'm fairly certain I can get you a copy for the Xbox 360 complete and in near mint condition. Let me know, because as assumed Gamestop won't allow me to buy any more (their loss). Thanks!

Just cancel the order if possible and send me a refund. Sorry to trouble you and thank you for offering the used copy.
Okay I'll send the full refund. At least we tried ^_^ Back to shipping I go.
Yep, at least we did and thank you again Goomba. Well at least I will still get Super Mario Galaxy 2 with the $20 discount on a future video game purchase :D.

Zula, I didn't receive it yet but it's possible it's one of the small packages I haven't had time to open yet. I just wanted to make sure it's not a problem to send that item to you. It's allowed by customs, right?

Heya Goomba, I know DRs aren't open yet but was wondering if I can send you payment for another Amazon order if you have the time. I'll also pay my remaining fees so you can ship out my orders as soon as you can.

** Nightmare Packing Story **

OK guys, I'm learning a lot of things during this one week of downtime. The main lesson is: I cannot ship packages more than 108" in length & girth (girth btw, is the total measurement around the width of the package all the way around, or length+width x 2). Today I spent almost 2 hours total trying to ship an Acura spoiler to Canada...I had it all set, packed and ready to go and then I got to USPS. Their eyes nearly bulged out of their heads when they saw the box and said "We need to measure that". Turns out it was 128" total length+girth so they recommended I take out the extra packaging outside and remeasure. I spent nearly 30 minutes repacking the item in the parking lot (embarassing) and it turns out to be 108.5" total.....half an inch too long :( So then I had to leave the post office defeated and to add insult to injury, the extra packaging wouldn't fit in my car (my wife dropped it off initially in her SUV since it was so long). So again, in the parking lot I had to cut down the entire package with an X-Acto Knife in order to make it fit into the car. What a nightmare and a waste of time.

Please guys: when ordering Package Forwarding items PLEASE make sure that your item is not more than 9 feet (108") total length and girth. I'm going to end up having to ship with UPS now which will work, but it was just SO much more effort than I would have liked. =P

That's definitely a nightmare, but also a very good lesson (for all of us). I never knew about that restriction either. Please add that to the FAQ / DR page / PF pages for us as a reminder.

I saw the 108" restriction in the past and thought "9 feet...that's not a maximum I'm going to reach anytime soon" so yeah, guess I was wrong. I didn't realize exactly how much girth there is with a package that appears that thin, but sure enough it adds up. I will definitely be adding some new restrictions to the new site about these sorts of things. Here's some examples:

1) Any items over 108" total length+girth will be shipped UPS. Period.
2) I cannot ship medicine, tobacco or nicotine products or anything drug-related that could possibly be confiscated at customs.
3) No pornographic items (to Canada at least).
4) Items that are extremely fragile (glass statues) CAN be shipped, but we are not responsible if they are damaged in shipping. This is what shipping insurance is for, and even with shipping insurance we don't recommend you order these types of items.

Just a few things....these have all come up in the recent couple of weeks, so just want to keep a running list. Thanks guys. I'm off to work now. Crazy day lol.

Hey Goomba Can you fill me in on how this works? I live in Sarnia ontario and id like to order games from amazon.com since their prices are so good. How much does it cost to use your service? Including the customs tax and what not. If a game is 29.99 american with free shiping (to us address) how much would it cost me to use your service?

Lets say a PS3 game is 64.99 over here in canada and the game is 29.99 in america with free shiping to your location. How much money would I likly save on that? I know you cant tell me 100% I just am asking because the direct request section is down and im a newb who wants to jump into all this action. I live in Sarnia Ontario Canada.

Sorry for being a newb

Also, I think this was brought up before:

- animals, vegetables, fruits

Who would ask Goomba to send an animal?

Seriously, though yeah those are the rules at the border so I know what you meant. Its just funny because I thought of someone asking Goomba to send a cow to them.

That sucks what happened Goomba with the whole issue of the 9ft parcel. Maybe you should implement some sort of system before doing a Package Forwarding you must send a form of what you are planning to order to be approved but that would be hard to manage.

You'd save around $30. Shipping a game usually costs $3, and Goomba has a $2 service fee. There may be some extra costs. Sales tax is 6% in Goomba's state, but some online stores don't charge him it (I think he put a list major of retailers details in the first post). Paypal credit card fees can tack on a few % on the total, you have to "gift" him the payment with direct funds to avoid that cost.

I got Super Mario Galaxy 2 from Goomba which was $49.99USD and with the service fees, shipping etc. it ended up being $59USD. However, since I paid via Credit Card on Paypal I had to pay an extra $1.

So it was basically $9.

helluvagood, I will look into that for you. For some reason Tales of Vesperia has a weird habit of taking longer than it should in the mail (it's happened twice with this title). I think customs takes it out and looks at it for a week or more at a time. I'm doing a full inventory check and order countdown on Sunday. I am literally devoting my entire 18 hour day on Sunday to GFC. I'll get everything figured out :)

blackric, if anyone orders a canoe the only way they're getting it is if you walk here and pick it up. I may send them down a creek without a paddle though otherwise. :)

Friendly Reminder: I will be fishing with my dad tomorrow until around 9PM. After that I'll be packing up current orders and will have limited hours Saturday. Sunday will be a FULL day of catching up, packing and updating GYROS. So by the end of this weekend we should have all order statuses up to date on GYROS. Throughout the week we will try to ship out all current packages and incoming ones from the PF orders and then we can finally re-open things :) Thanks guys. I realize it's frustrating to have to wait a little longer for your items which is why I'm working on this as hard as possible ^_^

I am literally devoting my entire 18 hour day on Sunday to GFC. I'll get everything figured out :)

blackric, if anyone orders a canoe the only way they're getting it is if you walk here and pick it up. I may send them down a creek without a paddle though otherwise. :)
ok I just got your email saying that it was just shipped on may21. thanks, ill be waiting

TripleQ, your Lowball items have shipped. All others will ship out tomorrow. They are my priority :) Just got stuck working yesterday all day and today is my father's fishing trip. Thanks guys! Remember, I will be working a little tonight and Saturday but Sunday is ALL GFC! Thanks! Now if you'll excuse me I have to go catch my dinner :)
