GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. 3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.


Service Charges (GFC Premium):

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Tx James, I just put through another order (#1468179020). Just thought you may want to know that I am receiving payment confirmation from paypal but I am not getting a order confirmation email from GFC - that is 2 orders in a row. I looked in my junk and spam folder but nothing from GFC, is this something on your end that is not generating order confirmations?
 
OK ive order Red Dead,Final Fantasy 13 both used from amazon warehouse and 16 GB USB drive. And i try to pay on the site but i forgot it will only do paypal and i have amazon gift cards to pay with lol. You want me to send the code here? I send you an email few days ago haven't heard from you.
 
Hi Goomba,

I think I accidentally shipped 2 of the Blu-rays to the wrong address.
I used your WILLIMANTIC address but I left out the line after the street so there was no suite/unit number. :/
I am not sure if it will still find its way there currently.

I called Best Buy and they told me to just report those 2 as lost and they will send me a free replacement afterwards, so there might be some delay on this package as it gets reshipped.
 
Goomba, I really need to know if my amazon orders got to you. It's almost a month and if it never reached you then I should report it to amazon before it's consider a lost cause :S
 
Guys, I survived the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend at work and I'm happy to say that I'll finally have a true day off in 3 days and a few hours each day this entire week to process the flood of orders that this holiday weekend always brings. I'm doing my best to keep up so I'll try to keep GYROS updated properly. Tetsugen, I wish I had received your message earlier. I just went to Uniqlo NYC (5th Ave store) earlier this week on my yearly pilgrimage there. Was there something specific that you wanted from there? I may be going back relatively soon.

Fei Jai, it's up to you and depends largely on the manufacturer. Nintendo and Sony games tend to be closer to a pound and Xbox 360 games tend to be slightly lighter. Thanks!

Everyone else, I still have about 80 Emails and around 30 orders to process. I'm doing my best to keep up so just know that I'm working around the clock on orders and that GYROS is my 2nd priority behind the actual processing/shipping of items. I will update to the best of my ability but if your order doesn't appear on GYROS it doesn't mean that I'm not working on it, it just means I haven't typed it on the site yet since it's still mostly manual there. gsrce, yes if you could still submit a form that'd be good. It helps keep track of which items are coming in when and from whom. I'm still trying to figure out a way for you guys to combine orders yourself on the site but it's a bit of a programming challenge for me that I'll have to get to once I have time (which is hard considering my mountains of work). I'm sure I can figure out something though :)

I did this as well. Haven't been able to get a hold of Best Buy though, so I'm crossing my fingers that the package reaches you Goomba.
 
Hey James, I emailed you yesterday (and posted here on post #10238) but have not heard back from you.

I think I figured out why I did not receive an email confirmation for 2 of my orders - its because after I paid with paypal I did not wait long enough to be redirected to your site. The 2 payments were processed though so can you confirm you have received these two orders that I have not received an email confirmation for:

RUSH on Nov 23rd Order #453179188 Nov 23rd (is ready at your location)

Hi guys, I have 26 new orders to log into GYROS still. I have one more day of work tomorrow and then I'll be picking up all the new packages at the UPS store after work. Friday I'm off and I'm devoting all day to logging the new orders and shipping out existing ones. Please if you're putting in an order now remember:

** ALWAYS TRY TO ACCURATELY ESTIMATE SHIPPING WEIGHT as the item plus packaging. 99% of the orders I ship these days have underestimated shipping which requires me to re-invoice and re-determine costs. This slows down order processing 2 or 3x and makes the system back up quickly. If you over-estimate initially I can just apply the difference to your account or refund you later, but if you underpay it's a real hassle for everyone involved. Thanks guys!

** GYROS IS UP TO DATE FINALLY **

Hey there guys, I'm happy to say that after nearly 80+ orders to process we now have ALL orders from Black Friday and beyond in our Quickbooks system as well as our GYROS page. So now that the hard work of logging them all in it's just a matter of packing and shipping them out (which is actually the easiest part). Keep in mind that if your item is paid in full and we have received it, that it will ship out this week. The only reason it won't ship out this week is one of the following:

* We haven't received your item yet (next pickup date is going to be around 4 days from now)
* You didn't pay enough or any shipping money to ship to you. In this case we'll invoice you once we've received all of your items.
* We received some of your items but not all. This is a common thing especially when people add on items later on (sometimes much later).
* We just have too many packages to process (this is actually the least common reason).

So again, if your item falls into one of those categories GYROS will reflect it. Until then I have about 50 new packages in that I'm sorting through and updating in real time. Talk to you soon :) Thanks everyone for your support ^_^.

PS: To expedite your order please remember to include gift messages with Amazon and other sites. This lets me know exactly who the order is for, but keep in mind you'll still need my name and only my name on the package for PF orders. Thanks guys!
 
Looking at the GYROS the "3 Games & USB Flash Drive (PF)" i would think thats my order, however i dunno if thats a typo or you still waiting for the 3rd game but its 2 games instead of 3 games lol. Just making sure thats all :)

Hey Goomba, the USPS announced an Express Mail Box service to Canada for 20 pounds or less with a flat rate of $60. I imagine you'll have a couple of those on hand when they come into service (January 22nd) for those of who order lots of stuff at once (ie. me)?

anyways I made a note of $60 in my submission notes, make that $70, I was under the assumption handling charges would've been from my SCCs. You'll have to manually subtract all the extra SCCs for that order since I didn't really want to put in 34 order forms ;)
 
Hey guys, I finally (for the first time in 3 weeks) have two days off in a row (today and tomorrow) so you can expect a TON of orders to be processed. I'm working on the oldest ones first so if your orders are at the top of the GYROS list I'll be processing them as best as possible (there's still a few items that haven't come in actually) but we're also doing another UPS pickup today so nearly all orders should be here by now. It's a hard process especially for multiple-items orders but we're doing good so far. Keep in touch, thanks!

Good news everyone, I'm back from the UPS store and have about 100 new packages in, so nearly all orders should be in. Now it will just be a matter of unpacking them all and getting them shipped out. The UPS Store sometimes will sign for packages that are not fully addressed for me, but they charge a $5-$10 per package charge. I'll keep you posted!

I didn't see your newest Emails yet but I did receive some special copies of Seven and the Exorcist which I assume are yours. I didn't get any other copies of them in from anyone that I'm aware of, so you should be all set. I'll be sorting them Thursday and Friday on my days off this week :). Talk to you soon.

Sorry for placing so many different orders (as you can tell from all the e-mails I have sent you recently... in fact, I just placed another order on Amazon :p). Please let me know if any of the item's packaging is damaged, especially any Steelbook, digibook (like Seven / Exorcist), or slipcovers, may have to get them to reship them if so. I don't think everything I ordered has shipped yet though, some are still on backorder, will have to verify with you later next week. :)

EDIT: Could you not pack / ship any of the items I ordered yet? I think I will need you to help me return The Goonies boxset and the Persepolis Blu-ray to Amazon since they I just placed a new order for them at a lower price (the Amazon rep couldn't do a price adjustment and told me to just reorder them :/). Sorry again for the hassle.
