GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey guys, for those of you wondering, I would charge the typical $2.00 service charge ($1.00 service charge for premium members) plus the item/sales tax/etc. Since no shipping is due for digital codes, I would just send you the code via Email/PM. So that's pretty straight forward. You can go to my website and submit a "Direct Request" with the details of the item you want to order and I'll take care of the rest. For digital items chose the "Digital Item - No Shipping Necessary". If you're charged for shipping, I'll refund you in full for that as the shipping buffer may still kick in. If you need any more info let me know!

Just ordered the Wonderful 101 from Amazon though your service since it's on sale in the US only. I just want to make sure the receipt on your end shows what I ordered, because the paypal receipt doesn't indicate what the payment was for (I did get the other email from your website though with the purchase summary, I'm just not sure how these transactions show up on your end, so I just want to play it safe).

Hi Kavvybop, you should be fine.  Paypal should reference your order number, which is how we cross reference the orders and log the payments and such.  I'll keep an eye out for it and let you know when it's all set.  You can also check our GYROS page within the next couple of days and we'll update that as well.

Me too - never used your service before Goomba but I want in as resorting to ordering from Digital River/UPS directly will be a deal breaker.

For those wondering how our services work, our website explains it pretty well but the main system is:

The previous email, i asked for a resend for the invoice as the first one you sent somehow got lost.

** Updating GYROS, Doing UPS Pickup & Shipping **

Just letting you all know that I'm off the next two days from work and will be adding in a bunch of recent orders to GYROS (been busy the last week with work and family) and that I'm doing another UPS pickup in about an hour.  Also, any items received the last few days or today from UPS should ship today or tomorrow as well.  Keep you all updated as best as possible, thanks for your support =).

** GFC UPDATE COMING SOON **

You'll all be very happy to hear that I've heard your request and am programming in new changes to the upcoming update to GFC.  The biggest update will be that Shipping Buffers will now be optional.  This means that those of you who are very good at estimating shipping charges will no longer have to pay the extra $10.00 towards the shipping buffer and those of you who have credit on file with us can bypass it as well.  Please keep in mind that by not selecting the buffer you may be subjected to an updated invoice if your items weigh more than you originally anticipated.

This update should be finalized sometime in early March though it may appear on the site sooner than that :).  Any suggestions to improve the site are always welcome!

That sounds ok. One question though, my sister was wondering on whether you could just use the same shoebox to ship it over the border? For some reason she wanted to keep the box.

 
Hi Jotamide, If she wants to keep the box that's fine.  The actual shoe box only adds maybe $2.00 - $3.00 to the shipping cost, so if you want it by all means get it.  It was only a suggestion :).  Shipping in actual shoe boxes is not recommended as they tend to be flimsy.

Ok, then in that case just use whatever box you usually do. I think she just wants to make sure she gets the receipt? Anyways, I submitted a direct request on your website. Taxes in, it should be around $140. On the website they mention you can get free shipping with the code SHIP100, don't forget to use that please. :)

 
Average Box, yes we do local pickups at Best Buy (nearest store is 06385, Waterford, CT).

Jotamide, I still haven't received the item.  I'm contacting their customer service to find out what the delay is, very sorry for that.  I'll get to the bottom of it ASAP.

If you are a Package Forwarding (PF) user, please note that we will be changing the forwarding address as of 5/15/2014.  This will only affect you if you have our old address on file or plan to use it in the near future.  All new PF members will receive the new address through the site as per usual, but for older members I want to warn you NOT to ship to the old one if you think it'll be received after 05/15/2014.  The UPS Store we've used for 6 years is closing and we'll be moving to a new location.  Thanks guys :).

** GFC Will Be Down 05/20/2014 - 06/30/2014*

We will be temporarily closing the site from 05/20/2014 - 06/30/2014 in order to make some necessary changes to code, reorganize our office and unload overstocked merchandise. During this period we will continue to process existing orders (most will already have been shipped out by then), but we will not be taking on any new Direct Requests or Package Forwarding orders.

Also, very important to note for Package Forwarding users and GFC Premium Members: The UPS Store we've used for 6 years now will be officially closing and will no longer be accepting packages at the old address. The new address can be found in the Package Forwarding instructions page and it's important that you do NOT ship to the old Willimantic address. Packages that are sent there after 05/20/2014 will be refused by the UPS Store and sent back to the original sender.

Starting in July we will reopen the site as usual with new streamlined code and updates to existing sections. Thanks for your time, your support and your suggestions. We really apprecaite it =).

Where can I find the new address? I have a Premium Account (order #928 and I purchased a 12 month subscription on 6/24/2013). When I go to the package forwarding section I just see the W Thames St. address. Is that the correct address?

I've updated the shipping address now on the PF page so as long as you're registered as a Premium Member it should be working again :).  I'm working on a new GFC Estimator page that lets you put how many items you're ordering and the estimated weight and it calculates everything without having you enter all of the details.  This will also let me add a lot of new countries to the system for the auto-calculate features.

I've tried to purchase a month of GFC premium service but have had no luck signing in at the GFC store. I can sign in just fine on your regular website though. Shall I send $10 to that above e-mail address?

As for your items, I believe we are just waiting on one right now (a manual) as most of the games have arrived in the last day or two.  I'll keep you posted!

Okay, I'll see what I can do about that then.

In the meantime, I plan to make even more purchases. Can you ship what you have so far? That manual was ordered a couple days ago and likely won't make it for a while, plus I plan to order even more.

Hi Goomba, I recently bought a few items myself on ebay and had them sent to the package forwarding address. I just filled out the form, completed all the pages, and right when it was time to pay I had no Instant Transfer option. I called up Paypal and I'm not sure what the issue with them was but they got it re-enabled for me. I sent the exact amount your website asked for to your Paypal address, the Canadapayments at improcomics dot org. Let me know if that's okay.

Hi Goomba, I accumulated a bit of Amazon.com credit hoping I could purchase a GTA V PS4 digital code. Now I see they only ship digital codes to US billing addresses. I was wondering, since you do a lot of amazon shopping, if we could work something out where you buy the digital code for me and I pay you back with a combo of amazon.com credit and paypal? I know you typically only take paypal but since you do a lot of shopping on amazon, i figured you would entertain this option as well. Let me know or PM me to discuss more.

Hi nb85, honestly I haven't turned on my Xbox 360 in almost 3 years (I'm not even sure it'll boot but I assume it will).  I've just been so busy with so many things.  I haven't seen any specific deals on Xbox Live Gold cards recently, but I haven't really been looking either.  If I come across any sales I'll post here :) Thanks!
