GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Hey goomba478,
have the "Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor" been delivered to you already? I'm dying to play that game :)
"Shin Megami Tensei: Persona" for PSP is already available for pre-order, looks like this year is going to be full of MegaTen goodness :D

[quote name='ragnar14']Hmm, are we sure telepathy's friend doesn't want this:
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=74864

I'm sorta thinking I might bite on one. I'd have to check if EBs up here are even getting them. They're supposed to be Gamestop exclusive, so they may well be US only :bouncy:[/QUOTE]

Yeah, that was the one that i was talking about Ragnar14, & that seems more like an appropriate estimate goomba, thanks. Im gonna let my friend know soon. How long do you think you can wait based on amt of preorders?

Setite, yes your Devil Survivor showed up yesterday along with three of your shirts and your Setite book ^_^ Looks like we're on the right track. When everything is in and ready to ship I will work it out! I have to get ready for work now :)

telepathy, I wouldn't wait more than a week or two for pre-orders. I have no idea how long they will be good for, but the sooner you get one in the better. Sometimes if you are too late to the party they put you on a "waiting list" to see if anyone cancels. Not sure how limited the bundle will be, but better safe than sorry for sure.

goomba478, well that means you got all of the items I've asked you to order :) I'm eagerly waiting for the invoice so I can transfer you the money for the shipping and the insurance.

Hey guys, just so you know buy.com had a 3-per-person restriction on those Xbox cards, so I already exhausted my purchase of them a few days ago. I still have a few codes in stock at the $35 price point. You can buy them here:

http://gamesforcanada.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=56

First Come, First Served. Code will be sent within 24-48 hours :) Thanks!

** All the original codes have been sent out now. I appreciate it! **

Oh I kinda wanna take that... But... I forget what the setlist is.

Goomba how much is Red Faction going to cost me to get up here? $45 or so? I forget how much you charge to ship a single game since... I've never only bought a single game :p

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16874169036

I really want it... but I'm not about to spend eighty bucks on a new game.

* I am on vacation from June 29th to July 3rd and will be unable to respond

Magiic, yup I sure did. I forgot I had Ikaruga on the store website so I had to hunt down another copy for you (and I was able to find one even better than the one I had listed). So you'll be happy to know that while not perfect, the copy I shipped you does not have a deep scratch on the disc as listed on the site. Hope you enjoy the game (it's awesome but quite hard!) and everything. Good to have you back buddy!

With the Guitar Hero World Tour bundle being $100 off at Amazon today, it's kind of tempting...any idea what the shipping might be for something that large?

I'm being completely honest here, but I doubt you'd be saving much after the shipping. I'm assuming that it will cost quite a bit ($50-$60-ish?). Just a guess though as I don't know the exact weight. Let me know if you'd be interested. I can look into it for you!

Rabid it'd be about $10-$12 total to ship including insurance. Let me know if you want to bid on it. Please note for all eBay items I require pre-payment. If you win the item for less I will refund you the difference. Thanks.

Not bad, alright try a maximum of $50 on the auction, less if you can, of course. If I can get it for that much I'd be pretty happy, be saving myself quite a bit from buying it locally.

Hi goomba, I got a quick question in regards to shipping rates from the States.

1: Does shipping cost varies from one state to another? Or should it be the same throughout?

2: Does shipping increase base on weight or size of the parcel? or both?

3: Is there a maximum value per parcel?

4: How much does it usually cost to ship 3-5 games? 15+ games?

Rabid, I'm sorry but I wasn't able to get the bid in on time. Next time if you find an item please try to give me at least 2-3 hours warning if you can. Since my job hours are random day to day, giving a little more time is good for setting up the proxy bids. Really sorry man, I tried :( I didn't get your Email until the item had ended though sorry to say.

Puppet, here are some answers to your questions. Answers are in GREEN.

1: Does shipping cost varies from one state to another? Or should it be the same throughout?

Most places don't charge extra from one state to another when using First Class Mail, but UPS services and Priority Mail and those types of things do very by distance. The US is divided into mail regions (roughly 5-6 of them). But most sites don't charge extra based on state. If you have a particular item you'd like to know about, let me know.

2: Does shipping increase base on weight or size of the parcel? or both?

Of course weight is the main determining factor. Size of the package only factors in if the box is more than 3 feet wide or something like that. I forgot the exact numbers, but it doesn't make a huge difference. It's mostly the weight.

3: Is there a maximum value per parcel?

For customs and insurance purposes yes, but I can ship quite a large amount of items if you are willing to pay the fees. I believe the number is around $45-50 USD that you don't have to pay any fees. Over that, it's subjective to the customs operator I suppose.

4: How much does it usually cost to ship 3-5 games? 15+ games?

For estimation purposes, one game weighs about 6 oz. shipped. All prices are estimates only and for first class USPS (unless noted):

01 Games = $03.00 USD
06 Games = $13.00 USD
15 Games = $33.00 USD [Priority Mail - All packages more than 4 pounds]
30 Games = $40.00 USD [Priority Mail - becomes less per game with more weight]

Hope that helps give you a good idea :)

Wow thanks for the quick reponse!

That would explain why shipping guide books is so expensive if it is based on weight.

So shipping 15 games and 30 games will both cost $33 USD?

No of course 30 games would cost more (though not much more). I just edited it for you for an estimate of 30 games. Priority Mail is faster than first class and is based on 1 pound increments of weight. So shipping 6 pounds is the same as 6 pounds 11 oz. Once you hit 7 pounds then it goes to the next amount. Kind of interesting really.

That is very interesting indeed, thanks for the quick response! That gives me a fairly good idea of what to expect in the future.

It is so expensive damn it LOL!

You're welcome PuppetYuber. It's not really that expensive when you think about it. If you can save $20 on a game or more, then paying $3-$5 to get it shipped directly to you isn't so bad. You help me and I help you :) we need each other, which is why the system works as well as it does ^_^

Oh no, I didnt mean it that way. You have been a great help to us Canadians, and I appreciate everything you are doing for us. Especially it is rarely to find cheap games in Canada. What I meant was shipping in general is expensive, especially US is just right below us lol!

I can ship a parcel to Asia with as low as 2 dollars!

Oh okay lol. I agree with you that shipping prices do seem a bit unusual. For instance, I can ship to Hawaii and California cheaper than to Toronto, even though distance wise Toronto (which is in Canada yes, but closer than California) is 3x closer. Doesn't really make sense, but these things seldom do :) Oh well.

It's all good. Maybe some day we'll come up with ways to transport packages magically anywhere in the world instantly and everywhere will cost the same :) A Goomba can dream, can't he?

I wish shipping in canada would be cheaper, really sucks sending something like a few small items (paper thin) w/a bubble mailer & costing over $15 w/registered mail

It makes sense when you consider shipping within the US means that the package is only handled by USPS while shipping to Canada means it's handled by both USPS and Canada Post.

Setite, yes I have a lot of Nintendo DS/DSi systems. I sent you an Email :)

grsce, you'll be happy to know that when I came home from work there was a package in the back from Red2Blu! I will open it tonight and confirm that it has all your titles :) Glad it finally got here. Thanks for your patience ^_^

** Stack of Games for Sale **

stack-of-games.jpg

Hey guys, just wondering if you'd be interested in buying any of these before I list them on eBay tomorrow night. Many of them are new. Those that aren't new are in MINT/Near Mint condition and all are complete and part of my personal collection. Let me know! Thanks ^_^

I don't have prices really, I can list what I got them for (I can't sell them for less) but I don't really have set prices. I was planning to sell on eBay but I thought I'd give you guys a shot at them first if you like. Here is what I paid:

Final Fantasy (PSP): $12.50 USD
MadWorld (Wii): $30 USD
Punch Out (Wii): $40 USD

If you can pay somewhere around those prices plus shipping I'll be happy to sell them to you. Thanks!

I'm not really in the market for Wii points these days (as they didn't sell well for me at all in the past) though I am looking for one 2000 points card for a present for a cousin of mine. Other than that I'm pretty good at the moment, but thanks :)

I'm going to be further developing my lowball system soon to encompass other types of auction systems I have up my sleeves. Maybe that'll be a good way to unleash the flood of games that are STILL (3 years later) clogging up my office lol.

Thanks again.

You should only be waiting on the matrix digibook now (seems they split the order) and then that should wrap it for awhile as I'm done spending money, lol.

telepathy, you will be happy to know that your Pokemon Box showed up today at my UPS box :) I will gladly send you an invoice for it. I will have it shipped out tomorrow more than likely.

gsrce, thanks for the payment for the shipment. Do you want me to send out what I have first?

telepathy, yes you're all paid for the Pokemon Box order :) I was referring to sending an invoice for Valkyria Chronicles since you had asked:

I'll think about it, would you be able to send me the invoice anyways?

Sorry for the confusion ^_^ Thanks!

Yeah, go for it, thanks =) (As I'm moving at the end of next week, so if you have it out in the next few days I should have it in time)
