GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items.This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Just so you guys know, the XBL cards are officially sold out from what I hear. I have a few left if you're interested. Those who did order and pay for them will receive their codes in approximately one week (they mail the physical cards to me from Buy.com which takes around 5 business days according to their site). Thanks!

Littleberu, I will PM you.

Thanks Heimdal. The payment information is above. Please read it or contact me if you have any questions. I will send you the code via PM in about a week once I get the cards. Thanks!

Hi,

I'm wondering if I send you my info, can you provide me an estimate or the actual cost of you getting me this item and shipping it here.

The place allows orders to Canada, but their shipping rates are huge.

I'm just asking before I send you a email with my info.

Sure thing CaptainCharismaCC. I can definitely do that for you! PM or Email me the following information so I can add you as a customer in my Quickbooks and send you an invoice estimate:

Your Full Name, Address, Email address and Phone #. Thanks!
Yes I'm aware that there is an Amazon Gold Box deal today but I didn't think any of the offers from what I heard were all that tempting. If there's anything you want send me a message :) I'm at my University job today but I will check my home Email/PMs and such as well as this board.

Kathos, yes only points are region specific. The Xbox Live Gold cards work in US/Canada no problem.
You didn't pick up Imagine Teacher?
Well you just lost a customer >=o

Thanks Game_Fanatic, there are indeed (or I should say will be). I ordered a bunch but won't get them till next week. Feel free to pre-pay now and I will send you the code as soon as it comes in. Thanks!

I'd love to pre-pay now, but unfortunately I needed to transfer funds into my PayPal account, and it's take so damn long for the funds to transfer over, about 6-8 business days. I started the transfer this morning, but I don't imagine I would have the money until next week. Do you, or anyone else, for that matter, know how to quicken the transfer of PayPal funds? Thanks!

game_fanatic, it's not a problem. I will gladly hold one on the side for you. I know you're good for it. Just let the Paypal transfer do it's thing :) No problem!

danthemightyone, sounds good. I'll be looking out for that ^_^

So can you do the preorder for me then? It's limited to 1000 - probably won't be sold out for a while though.

dan, yes I will gladly preorder one of those Prinny sets for you. I just got the email yesterday from them about that and I was eyeing one myself (I'm quite fond of the Prinny plushes as well and with a game, graphic novel and more it's quite a nice set). Also, I do believe your list of items in your PM was correct as well. Thanks again! I will order tonight for you around 7:00 PM. I'm at work right now at my University job. ^_^

You are very welcome kgroat :) I will order your items today and will ship out as soon as they come in ^_^ Looks like GamesForCanada's services are chugging along :) Thanks everyone!

** New Website Update ** I am about 80% done programming in the new games database (the biggest and by far most complicated step in making the new site). Beta testers should receive their Emails around February 1st or so to try out the new services. Thanks!

Perfect timing, I'll actually have money to buy things by then :D

Goombot, do you know a good place to get text books for cheap? I`m looking for Assembly Language for Intel-Based Computers (5th Ed) by Kip Irvine and the cheapest I`ve found is $54.88 + $4 shipping to US only. Maybe you have some sources but if not can you buy it for me from http://cgi.ebay.com/Assembly-Langua...584586QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Texbook_Education. Get back to me before you order, I need to go to my campus used book store and see what is going for there. Thanks man.

Median, definitely :) I know how it feels to be flat broke in January. February will be a welcome change of pace for me as well.

Jest, I'm not exactly sure but I can check around. The problem with books/textbooks is that even if I can find you a low price, they're often very heavy and therefore expensive to ship. But if you'd like I can still look.

So I just tell friends of mine who want XBL Gold to send you $33USD (on non-credit card accounts) and leave XBL in the message? Should they do anything on GFC?

You are the best Firestorm :) Thanks for telling your friends about me! I did get your friend's payment so I'll lock up a card for him. They don't need to do anything on GamesForCanada unless they want me to set up an account for them. No problem ^_^ Thanks!

Thanks guys. It's hard for me, but infinitely harder for her family. I can't imagine what they're going through :( We grew up across the street from each other and she was a really wonderful person. She had two kids too which makes it even harder. Definitely a major loss for losing her. I wish her family all the best. Thanks again for your sympathies guys :)

---------
Heimdal, yes I'd be happy to order that for you :) Let me send you an invoice.

Quick preview of the new "Library" Mode for item views...
delicious-library-thumb.jpg

I just picked up some incredible software called "Delicious Library" made by Delicious Monster. It's a Mac only program that allows you to scan in your books/games/movies/etc. and have them show up in virtual bookshelves. I even bought a wireless bluetooth laser barcode scanner for this purpose (can scan thousands of items and have them wirelessly sent to my Mac...how cool is that?). After the items are in the system, you can sort them by date, name, system, type, value and a million other ways.

How is this useful? Well I'm glad you ask :) For those of you who can remember my first "Super Friday Sale" it wasn't exactly easy to see all the games since they were just endless photos of the games spines. This way, you can see all the titles and I can sort them by type (Brand New, Used/Complete, Disc Only, whatever...) and make them clear to view. Here is a quick preview of some test scans I did. Many of these are my own personal items, but many are ones I have available for sale as well. If you see anything you're interested, feel free to make an offer :) I'm in the process of updating the new GamesForCanada.com site as you know and this will be part of a new section (or two). Enjoy!

http://prizepiggy.com/deliciouslibrary/

What is GOG? I'm not familiar with them. Fill me in ^_^ It is really nifty software. I paid quite a bit for it with the scanner but at least it'll be tax-deductable for my business (next year...doh!)

in theory I have about 10 left or so ^_^ I don't have them until sometime next weekt hough. Buy.com has shipped them though so they're on their merry way over here.

ahhhh okay GOG = "Good 'old Games" .. Now I know the site. I have seen it mentioned on Kotaku, CAG and other places. Thanks for filling me in :)

Thanks Frictor! It'll be better once I add my own code to it. At the moment you can't really do much with them except look at them. Once I add some coding and such then that's where the real magic will happen ^_^ I am telling you, I may be behind a month or two on schedule for the new site but I've been making a lot of progress. Here's what I did this week:

1) Created a library generator from scratch. This means I basically put together a form online that I can enter data into quickly that will communicate with my store's database. Like this, I can add new items in less than a minute whereas in the past it took almost 20+ minutes due to the web-form nature of Zen Cart and the other forms I was using. Big improvement!

2) I am creating a master inventory view for you guys where you can see at all times, exactly what games I have in stock, how many I have, etc. You can sort by price, system, qty and all sorts of things. On the side will be buttons to request as a Direct Request item, make a "Best Offer", buy from affiliate sites, etc. Really cool stuff!

3) I'm tweaking the shipping, gift certificate system, payment options and such on the actual GamesForCanada.com store. I want everything to be working smoothly once the new site opens at the end of February and want it as close to perfect once I open it for the Beta Testers :)

I'm also doing other things behind the scenes. Hope you guys like the new site once it launches!

Hey goomba, I am looking to make a purchase from Amazon on a few dvds and some other things.

The thing I am not sure is that I only have a few dollars of "real" money left in my paypal account. How can I do it so that paypal will only charge me from my credit card? I am currently signed up using transfers from my bank account and that can take about a week for it to clear. Any ideas?

rayee6, it's not hard but it is a bit tricky. Paypal will ALWAYS require you to take out the money from your account/available funds first and then charge your credit card. What you can do, if you like, is send me the total from your account and the rest on your credit card, or if you like just send me the total in your account + the bank transfer (we call it an 'e-Check' in Paypal terms). Echecks typically do not have any fees, whereas credit cards cost 6% on top of the normal charges.

If you like I can work something out with you, it's not a problem at all :) I'm very, very flexible! Thanks!

okay. Thanks for the quick reply.
I think I'm going to go the credit card root. So say I want to buy more than one item, do I just make a different request for each item on your website and you'll just tally them up yourself?

rayee6, there are a bunch of ways to make the payment. Here are a few of them:

1) I can send you an invoice with payment instructions.
2) You can send the money directly to my Paypal account (I'll give you the address)
3) I can send a money request for you.
4) I can set up your order as a custom invoice on my web-store and you can checkout there (newest option).

Just let me know what you want and I'll put together an invoice for you ^_^

Please send me a PM with your Full Name, Address and Email and I'll send you an invoice. Thanks again :)

EBC3007523.jpg

This sale is good until 1/22/2009. As always, I will pass the savings onto you. Just pay the actual cost of game + $5.00 or so (Includes actual shipping plus my $2.00 service charge). I will even add my extra 10% Edge bonus for you. So altogether you get 30% off the regular Gamestop prices. Keep in my state has 6% sales tax, so it's technically more like 24% or so. ^_^

Sample Games: (Original Price, After Gamestop Discounts, Final Price)

* Eternal Sonata - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Motorstorm Pacific - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Little Big Planet - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Valkyria Chronicles - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Resistance 2 - $54.99 ------> $40.80 + $5.00 = $45.80 USD TOTAL
* Uncharted - $39.99 ------> $29.67 + $5.00 = $34.67 USD TOTAL
* Bioshock $34.99 ------> $25.96 + $5.00 = $30.96 USD TOTAL
* Prince of Persia - $34.99 ------> $25.96 + $5.00 = $30.96 USD TOTAL

- Any other games you guys want me to check prices for? Let me know and I will add them to my list. Those are just some off the top of my head ^_^

Site Update: Just so you know, I am migrating the new store to a different directory on my server, so if you are trying to do anything with the GamesForCanada online store, just keep in mind it may be buggy/not working for the next 24 hours or so. I'm working as quickly as I can, but my FTP has been giving me a lot of issues today. Luckily, most of you guys do Direct Request orders so it shouldn't affect much.

Sincerely,
JJ Parks ^_^

The First Batch of Xbox Live 13 month cards are in! I have 7 at the moment and the rest are supposed to come in the next few days. I will be sending them out in the order they were paid for, so if you don't get yours today, just hang in there. Should be a few days at most. Thanks! I will send to your PM if you paid on CAG, otherwise your Email that your Paypal payment came from. Thanks again :)

Dan, I'm assuming you are referring to the Prinny set (limited to 1000 total)....I went ahead and ordered it the same day you requested so it should be all set :) I ordered one for myself too though I may end up selling it if I can't justify the cost (it's just too cool a set to miss and at only 1000 pieces that's pretty rare too).

Unless you referring to another item?

Misprint? No, they're not :) they were just on sale this week from Buy.com and I picked up around 40 or so total for you guys. If you need a few, by all means! Be sure to give me your info ^_^ Thanks!

Hey Goomba, I've never used your service before but I've been following this thread since last year hehe. I finally want something from an american online website, but the shipping to me in Canada alone would be $24.10. I wanted to know if it would be cheaper if it was shipped to you and then to me, it's a toy so it shouldn't be heavy. But maybe their shipping rates are expensive for America as well, I can't check myself because you need to put in a zip/postal code...

This is the product I want.
http://www.videogamefigures.com/store/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=226

If it's even possible for you to order from this website, would there be any way for you to first check how much the shipping would be shipped to you, and estimate how much it would cost to get it shipped out to me? If it ends up being more or just about the same, I might just order straight from the site itself. Also if you don't think the site is trustworthy enough please say so and forget about this ^.^;

Great news everyone: Amazon.com is listing the 13 month XBL card for $30! So any of you that didn't get one the first time around, now is your chance. I am selling them for $33 with direct funds (non-Credit Card payments) and $34 with Paypal (Credit Cards OK). Let me know if you're interested!

------
TronBonne (TronB), in case you want to check it out in the future. My zip code is 06382 just for reference (Uncasville, CT, USA).

Here is roughly what it'd cost:

$17.00 - Includes item cost plus Priority Shipping to me in the US
$06.00 - Shipping to Canada for the figure.
$02.00 - My Service Charge ($2.00 first item, $1.00 each additional).
----------------
$25.00 USD - Grand Total for everything ordered and shipped to you ^_^

Let me know if you're interested! I will need your Full Name, Address and Email address (you probably know that if you've been following this thread). Feel free to PM me. Thanks! Hope we can order this for you :) I'd be more than happy to.
