GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.
The Brady guide is out of print for a reason:
http://www.amazon.ca/product-reviews/0744010098/ref=dp_db_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Lol at sellers charging $150 for it there
Wow those are some terrible reviews. The amazon.com reviews are almost as bad. I guess the guide isnt really worth it :(. I guess I can use the online guide then. You cant beat a good hard copy of a guide though especially for an RPG. Maybe I will print out parts of the online guide. Thanks for the info ragnar and goomba.

Yeah those reviews are right up there with the phony Spore reviews (the ones that were backlashing against the DRM issues). Go with the online guide for now, at least it's free ^_^ Thanks Ragnar. Glad to see everyone helping out everyone so much. This forum thread really has come so far hasn't it?

Hey guys, I'm happy to say that I have 4 copies of Okami Wii in stock again ($19.99 USD plus shipping) on GFC. Check it out, for the first time in nearly 6 weeks I actually got time to start tweaking the GamesForCanada.com templates again (I am making progress I swear ^_^):

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/testing-hybrid-database.php?id=37

Check it out. The top of the page is more streamlined now, the large Google ads are gone at the top (nobody was clicking them :() and it's much, much cleaner now. More updates coming soon! Little at a time ;)

I'm working on some new things as well ^_~

Hey goomba, I was just scanning your GFC site and noticed that your two google ads interfere with the text of the site. Using IE when I put my mouse over the services tab the drop down menu is blocked by a google ad. Also your bottom left google ad blocks out text as well.

Excellent killmak ^_^

The thing is I am doing so many projects at once, from an outsider perspective it probably looks like I'm doing nothing, but if you were to watch me on a hidden webcam (which would be creepy) you'd see how insanely busy I am =P

I will be working with Dreamweaver templates to retroactively patch the old pages with the new changes I've made ^_^ Little by little. You guys will see :)

Just saying hi to you guys from the Foxwoods Poker Classic tournament. Only 1 more hour before I go home (if they don't keep me overtime :p).

Haha yup. I know you wanted one and it was the only way I could get free shipping at the time. Then I found out later that Amazon had it in stock again, but oh well :) Hopefully they will sell. The game is fantastic!

CatBoy, you can go to the website and order through there :) unless you want to pay with direct funds, let me know. Thanks!

PuppetYuber, I can check but according to the site my Gamestops don't have any in stock. Thanks!

Firestorm, I'd be happy to try and get you a copy but some of the stores around here won't let me use the 10% coupon any more because I've used it in the past (they know me by now). Also, some stores will only let it be used on used games even though the coupon doesn't specify. Just so you know.

Hey Goomba, I don't know how much Valkryie Chronicles will be on sale for... But could you get me a price on that and ship it up to me if the price isn't too ridiculous? It's $70 here now or something... Basically, that should be $54 USD. If I can get it for a decent price lower than that (save anything really) could you pick it up?

I could give you my email if you want to confirm the price

The other games I'm looking at is the Devil May Cry Collection, House of the Dead 2/3, Umbrella Chronicles, and maybe... MAYBE the Mortal Kombat collection

Edit: If you could find Baiten Kaitos Origins for $5 at Kmart, that would be a great too!
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=171648

I have noticed that EB Games also has a Game Days:

http://www.ebgames.com/gs/landing/gamedays09/

For canadians, but I have no idea the difference.

Rogan, do me a favor and PM me your Full Name, Mailing Address and Email address. I'll add you into my customer database and will be able to send you an estimate/invoice once they announce the prices :) Thanks!

Done. Hopefully the collections are knocked to around $13... Then they would be a great steal.

Thanks Rogan, I have you in my Quickbooks now :) I hope they sell those sets cheap too. I have a few of them in stock (which sucks cuz I paid full price) but I'd be happy to get you guys some deals. February and March were sort of slow in terms of store sales. Looks like the retailers are going to start ramping things up again which is good for both you guys and for me ^_^ Thanks!

Hi Goomba, if you are able to find at Kmart;
I would be interested in Baten Kaitos Origins (GC) as well as Contra 4 (DS).

Also, how much is Okami for Wii? Oh and, do you have copies of Ar Tonelico 1/2, or if not what is the lowest price you can get these for?

I'm sending you a PM with my info.

Thanks!

ichit4k4,

I don't really have any Kmarts anywhere near here unfortunately. The nearest one is almost an hour away... As for Okami it is $20 USD plus shipping/fees (comes out to $25 USD...cheaper if you buy with another item or two). Ar Tonelico 2 can be had for $40 USD from some online retailers though shipping is nearly 2 pounds. You can view these on my website. Thanks!

Hey goomba, sent your payment today. Sorry about the longevity of the process - I was trying to convince myself $50 was worth it for 3 boxes of cereal. They better be big boxes! lol

Thanks neksus :) They are good sized cereal boxes. Should last you a good while. I realize it wasn't cheap, but I do appreciate it ^_^ Will mail out tomorrow. Thanks my friend!

What's funny is that the "1 Pound" boxes actually weigh 1 pound and 5 oz. (I'm weighing them on my digital scale). They are the Family Sized Boxes so yes they are larger. You'll see in about a week or so ^_^

Fruity Pebbles (from Post). Okay guys I'm off to work now. Going to be dealing in the Foxwoods Poker Classic Tournament today. Wish me luck ^_^ Working 7 days a week for the next week and a half still. Man am I dead =P

Thanks for all your support!
What cereal did he buy anyway curiously?
Fruity Pebbles!
The Mrs. absolutely loves them and hasn't had them in years. Post refused to put French on the packaging so they aren't available up here.

I remember those... So that's what happened to half of our good cereal? :p

Goomba, I'm interested in the Gamestop Deals of the Month sale in the USA. If you can find, Valkryrie Chronicles for the PS3 and it falls to 45-50%, I'm in for one to buy, and it'll have to be factory sealed, as usually during those sales, the boxes are gutted at times. Thanks goomba

99% of the games around me are gutted during these sales. So if you want a new copy at a good price I can help you out, but if you want a sealed one it'll probably be very little to choose from. Just letting you know ahead of time so you don't have your heart broken.

Not silly at all, but here's the answer:

"Gutted" means the game is brand new, but the store physically removes the disc from the case and stores it behind the counter. They leave the case/manual on the shelf for customers to look at and when you buy it you buy it as New but get an opened copy. Most of the time the discs are perfect and the case/manual are too, but there have been some horror stories of scratched discs, kids ripping manuals, etc. I of course wouldn't buy a game unless it was perfect, but some people don't like buying NEW games and getting "new" games. If you know what I mean.

That's what gutting is. Gamestop is notorious for it here in the States, especially with these big sales. They do it because in the past they kept sealed games on the floor and supposedly a lot were stolen. Sucks =P

The reason I hate it is because my store often doesn't show me what disc they put in the game before sealing it, so I have to take it off (which ruins the box because it leaves residue) and it's normally the wrong game which is hilarious.

The more serious reason is they put all those damn stickers on it for pricing, and then the "breakable" seal they put on the opening part of the case. It all leaves Residue (since their price stickers are the DEVIL and they use ones that don't bloody come off nicely) and it annoys me.

I wish my post didn't kept getting deleted telling people Game Days are in Canada EB Games stores too... The reason I have to ask you to pick these games up for me is because I work from 7-6 on Saturdays so I won't even have time to get into an EB Games.

So basically if those games I mentioned drop to a reasonable price (~$15 for the collections, and $45 or less or so for Valkryia Chronicles) I'll take it.

Valkryia Chroncles I always wanted, but it never dropped price and I could never justify a sleeper hit at full price :p It's called a SLEEPER for a reason!!

P.S.: Goomba, you any good at taking those sticker things off of the boxes?

And, how much taxes are put onto the games ontop of the EB list price [How much tax are you charged in your state... 6%?]? (So I can roughly get the max price to expect)

Meet "Maple":

Hey guys. I realize this is probably the last thing you would think of, but here is our new GFC mascot. His name is Maple and he's officially our new mascot (work in progress). I just did some doodles for him and I like what I have so far. He's working behind the scenes packing all of your packages and putting in your orders as I slave away at my normal job. Hope you guys like him!

Rogan, I'm very very very good at removing stickers. Last years Game Day sales stickers came right off (except those store seal ones you mentioned that leave marks on the case. I generally ask them not to put them on and they usually don't). I also use Goo Gone and such to remove normal sticker residue and it works wonders.

Sales tax for my state is 6%. Thanks!

I'm always thinking about new designs for the website. I don't really have any funds to go outside though so I develop most of everything myself. Did you have any ideas? Let me know ^_^

Great job neksus. You know what's funny, August 8th is me and my wife's anniversary (we chose it because the Chinese believe 08/08 to be a lucky day). Maybe in the future when I'm not so far in debt I'll hire out for web design. ^_^ Thanks for sharing though!

Nero25, your order is packed but won't physically go out till tomorrow morning (had to bring my wife to a doctor's appointment). Thanks for understanding!

Hey Goomba, I won't be here on Saturday (so if they reveal the prices the day-of I won't be able to respond) because I am working. So basically I am just going to give you a price rundown:

Valkryia Chronicles: $59.99 ($67.2) --> Looking for ~$45 or lower total
House of the Dead 2/3: $29.99 ($33.6) --> Looking for ~$20
Umbrella Chronicles: $49.99 ($56) --> Looking for ~$35-30
Devil May Cry Collection: $29.99 ($33.6) --> Looking for ~$20
Mortal Kombat Kollection: $29.99 ($33.6) --> Looking for ~$15

Subtotal: $200
Tax: 12%
Total: $224
Wanting Total: ~$135

If you can get them for around that price I should be happy.

The brackets represent how much they are if you add our 12% tax.

Sounds good Rogan. I will print out your list and bring it to the store on the sale day. If I see any of the games you want for the prices you want I'll pick them up and expect you'll follow through with the order ^_^ Thanks! No guarantees of course, but I'll try!

Thanks Xeph820! I really appreciate it ^_^ I just got an Email from them so apparently it went through. You will absolutely love Goozex by the way, it's really addictive once you get going with it. As you can see from my banner I've traded a LOT on there! Hope you like it there :)
