GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Not to mention our dollar is basically on par again. Remember you need the North American version to download DLC from North American PS Store.

Awesome thanks PuppetYuber!

I have a question for you guys. Do you have anywhere you'd recommend to stay in Toronto? I've been there before and last time we stayed in the Comfort Hotel on Charles St. We used hotel points to get the night free last time, but this time it's more expensive being in June (as opposed to late fall). So I'll only have enough points for one night if I go there. Any you'd recommend that are clean, in relatively good locations and cheap? Please let me know.

Also, if you have recommendations for Quebec City that'd be great too :) Thanks!

I have no idea but I just wanted to make sure you're aware you now need a passport (or one of those new cards) to cross the border.

Thanks Fuzzy :) Yup I'm all set. I have my passport and my wife has her green card ready to go. Now all we need are some places to visit, some places to stay and perhaps a friend or two to meet ^_^ It'll be fun!

check out hotel deals on travelocity.ca expedia.ca and of course hotels.ca is another good one I've found in my travels. They show pretty competitive rates and ratings for various hotels around the country. Wish I lived a lil closer to meet up with the Goomba. Have a well deserved and enjoyable vacation with the wife. Bring along a french phrase book with ya if ya visit Quebec! ;)
That's great, the only thing better would be an option for us to buy things directly and have them shipped to you so all we'd have to pay you is for shipping from you to us.
so all we'd have to pay you is for shipping from you to us plus service charge:)

psyck0, really you hate Toronto? That's too bad. I had a lot of fun there last time (and a lot of great food)!

CrushEm, it's all good :) We'll likely visit somewhere near you live some time ^_^ I'd like to meet some of you guys too!

Puente13, I already offer the ability for you to order directly to my house and just pay shipping + service charge :) If you need more details let me know. Thanks guys!

Setite, Great news my friend! I mailed out your SMT: Devil Summoner 2, Demikids & Xenosaga II and was able to add insurance at the USPS Post Office just like the website said. The insurance is more expensive than the Endicia insurance, but as I mentioned Endicia no longer will insure to Russia (unfortunately). It was $4.40 to insure $130 (the $4.40 covers up to $200 and I believe it is $1.00 for each additional hundred or something like that). So if you want to buy a PS3, then the good news is we can fully insure it :)

As of now the majority of 20GB PS3's are selling for around $300 USD on eBay. Not sure if that's outside of your range or not, but I know you want one that is backwards compatible :) Let me know. Thanks my friend!

Shijui I sent you an invoice for Xenosaga II. Please note it includes shipping from seller ($8.00) as well as optional insurance to Canada ($2.00). Thanks!

its a proven documentary (Let's all Hate Toronto) fact everyone loves to hate on Toronto :p its like a favourite pastime or something. cuz we knows youre all jealous anyhow! Hell.. Toronto hates on Toronto so its all goood :) hmmm whats there to do :( its sad that the tourists will/have seen and done alot more than i have ever haha id to think were fish in water ... i guess the biggest thing in town is well the CN TOWER... our claim to fame :) long-tall shaftstick and scrotum(still fun the second time around?)! perhaps catch a J--'s game aw shucks... their out of town after Marlins series.... i guess theres always the Zoo :) ROM(RoyalOntarioMuseum)... AGO(Art Gallery of Ontario)? sorry i tried and in the end failed in a longwinded manner... Wish you the best though in figuring out something fun and exciting! Yes.. china town does offer many exotic food/fruits! so that will be a hot spot :p oops i managed to forget mentioning casaloma seems to be a popular attraction though i dont really know if its worth going hehe

Oh, don't worry Goomba, it's a nice city, it's just too big for me. I get the creeps there so don't go much. CBC museum is great though, although you may not get it as much because you didn't grow up with Mr. Rogers and Sesame Street. Chinatown is also great.

Oh! You've been. Well then... uh...

LOL it's all good. Toronto, if anything, seems like a nice small (by Asian standards anyway) city with nice people, good food and some fun places. It's a lot cleaner than most cities I know of and I had a really good time the first 2-3 times I went there so I'm hoping going to enjoy it. This will be my first time in Montreal and Quebec City though so I'm also looking forward to that :) Who knows, maybe some day when GFC gets huge I'll have a tour of sorts. A Goomba can dream ^_^

Umm...I did grow up with Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street and many others :) I even watched "Circle Square" and learned my first Canadian Postal Code from their theme song. How sad is it that I still remember it 20 years later or so?

PS: I was really hoping to see a Blue Jay's game actually as I'm a big Baseball fan. It sucks that I'm missing them by literally one day, but oh well. I did see them from the CN Tower last year which was fun. Don't tell anyone, but I paid to go to the top and then accidentally took the elevator down instead (thinking it was to go to the top). So between me and my wife (who followed me downward) I wasted a good chunk of change. Toronto, you're welcome :) Enjoy the free money. There's more where that came from!

goomba478, thanks a lot man, I'll get the money this Monday or Tuesday and I'll pay you at once for the insurance.
And yes, I do want to buy a PS3, a backwards compatible one :)
$300 USD is fine, but I'd be glad to pay less :D Perhaps you might know someone who wants to sell a BC PS 3 at a lower price, I guess you communicate with many people involved in trading games (I imagine you like some kind of digital drug dealer who knows all the best deals and can get any electro fix... wearing a pink furcoat and a purple hat lol ). I guess a refurbished PS3 would cost less, like this one, and I don't really care about the US warranty since the console is going overseas. If you have the time to do it you could also check your local papers where... uhm don't know the correct word ... people put their messages about selling different stuff, I hope you get what I mean. I will appreciate your help a lot.
We'll discuss it in details later :)

Thanks Firestorm, I will definitely check those out :) I appreciate it! I wish I had more time to plan the trip, but it's coming really quickly so it's a bit rushed. Thanks again!

Setite, I don't know anyone that even owns a 20GB. I know a few people that have the 60GB model (myself included) but prying those away from people would be like stealing their first-born baby. I will look into refurbished ones for you and will let you know if I find anything. Thanks!

Firestorm you rock buddy :) Thanks to your coupon, I'm going to be staying in one of their 4 Star hotels for a great price! So now my trip is looking like this:

06/13/2009 - Stay overnight in a hotel in Vermont (this way it's close to the border and I can have a full day in Canada the next day pretty much). Oh and I can take a tour of Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream factory ;) Always good..

06/14/2009 - Montreal, Quebec - Thanks to Firestorm I will now have a hotel that's quite nice for a great price and I'll be able to experience the Fringe Festival that's going on there (I had no idea it was that week, awesome!). Because of this, I will no longer be staying overnight in Quebec City, but we may go there just to check it out for the day as it's only a few hours away.

06/15/2009 - We plan to spend the majority of the day in Montreal and later in the day head over to Toronto and hopefully stay in the hotel we did last time (with hotel points). It's in a good location near the subway so it's convenient enough and we'll probably eat dinner in Chinatown at a Sichuan restaurant (Liu Liu Hot Pot perhaps?)

06/16/2009 - My Birthday ^_^ For my B-Day we will have one final day in Toronto to do whatever we want. We'll probably do a little shopping, visit a Museum or two, maybe take a Hippo Tour again and will definitely eat more Chinese food :) The Chinese food in Toronto is Awesome! This will be our last night staying up here.

06/17/2009 - We'll have the morning to do whatever we want and then it'll be back to home-sweet-home. Seems like it'll be a fun little trip :) My little Prius is getting excited to show me what kind of gas mileage she's got in her. It's been a while since we've gone anywhere this far for a while ^_^

Quebec City is fantastic. I was lucky enough to spend a summer there working and it was amazing. The city is just absolutely gorgeous.

Looks like I am going to cancel the Vermont portion as I don't want to spend more than $100 USD on a night in a small motel in VT when I could stay an extra night in Montreal or Quebec City thanks for the tips guys!

Firestorm, I tried to buy these from my local Best Buy and they canceled my order :( I don't know why either. I think maybe the store doesn't actually have them in stock, but their website shows they are. That happened to some other CAGs I read about. I was hoping to get some cheap EA games as well... bummer.

Hey Goomba,

If you could please try to get my Disney merch out along with whatever other items you have for me before you leave for your vacation it would be appreciated. Just send me an invoice when you've shipped it with the total cost for shipping and I'll have it paid asap. (As far as I know, you should only have some Amazon items for me along with the Disney merch)

Edit: You may also actually have the WB DVD's as well, just lmk =)

blackric, yes the first GQ came in about 2 or 3 days ago. How do I go about changing it over to your address like you mentioned? I have never ordered magazines through Amazon before in the past. Let me know :) Thanks!

gsrce, Yes I will try and get your Disney Merch repacked and send you an invoice before I leave on Saturday.

Firestorm, I can order the cash cards to my house but they show up as the full $10 per card. When they were on sale they showed as "Out of Stock" for online delivery (figures). And in-store pick up was canceled for whatever reason.

psyck0, Yes I did. You should have received an Email about it. The Amazon seller took a little bit longer to get it to me than usual but it did make it to me safely and I sent it out a few days ago. You should get it sometime next week hopefully. Thanks!

Haha, yeah I know what you mean. I love Blu-Rays to death =P Unfortunately, my TV is having problems again (they just switched the HDMI board when it had the audio problem and now it has no audio or video with the new board...sucks!). In the meantime Component cables do the trick, though I miss my HDMI (even if the difference isn't noticeable with all forms of media).

I haven't received your Red2Blu disc yet but they can't be too far away =P I don't know why big companies like Warner Bros. insist on being soooooooooo slow with these sorts of things.

** Goomba Needs Advice **

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you can give me insight on something. I'm going to Canada next week as you may know, but what I don't know is this: Can I open a bank account in Canada as a US Citizen? I am pretty sure it's possible, but I'd love to hear what you think (or know) about this subject.

What bank would you recommend? Ultimately, I'd like one with a debit card available and preferably no fees. The thing is, I want to sell on Amazon.ca (and already have now) but I didn't realize they only disburse to Canadian accounts...doh! I could swear in the past they sent to US banks too.

If you have any ideas on any of these things, please fill a Goomba in. Thanks guys!

I'm with PC Financial (similar to CIBC) and there are no fees at all, but transfer times are slowww (having a cheque clear takes 5 business, I don't know if that's the norm or not). You can withdraw money from any CIBC teller, or a teller at a Loblaws store, without being charged any transaction fees. The online banking is pretty simple and straight-forward as well, and the interest rates on the savings accounts are pretty competitive!

Sounds good game_fanatic. Any idea if Americans can just waltz into a bank and open an account, or is there some special requirement there? Also, do they offer Debit cards so that I can use the money without having to write a cheque? I'd love to know. Thanks!

I'll second the PC Financial recommendation.. they are a "no frills" mostly online bank. All the major banks with large branch networks have pretty high monthly/transaction fees. They do offer debit cards, but if you're going to use them outside of Canada it'll probably be a few dollars per transaction.

I'm not sure what Americans would need to open an account though, your best bet is to call them up and ask.

Hey guys, one more question. I know you're not lawyers or anything, but would any of you happen to know if the laws about visiting have changed for Canada for people who are not US Citizens (green card holders). My wife had no trouble last time with her Chinese Passport and US Green Card, but I just wanted to make sure. I know they recently changed the rule requiring US citizens to have a passport. If you know anything, let me know :) Thanks!

I haven’t heard about any changes to Canada's policy on non-US citizens visiting our country so I suppose it hasn't changed. Then again news takes awhile to spread around Canada thanks to all the dogsleds that were laid off ;)

Anyways on a more business related note, I was wondering how much the shipping cost would increase for two Blu-Rays each weighing around 580g. I'm trying to make my decision about season 1&2 of LOST in Blu-ray and time is running out for the sale ends on the 16th.

dancrane212, yes I think you're right. I checked the official Canadian visitors websites and they mentioned that US Permanent Residents (Green Card holders) can still visit without visas, so that's great. Looks like our trip is on. Woo hoo ^_^

Grams hmmmm? Great way to confuse an American =) Good thing we have Google and iPhones! By my calculations 580 grams is about 20 oz. So 40 oz. shipped is about 3 pounds, so you're looking at roughly $17 USD shipped. Let me know!

I have one Xbox Live 13 Month Card available guys. It's $42 USD if you're interested. Only one left. I'm going to go list it on my GFC store. First come-first served. I was going to save it for future use, but I need money for my trip to Canada so..... the card goes. Thanks!

=JJ=

Jest, I'm going to spend 2 days in Montreal, One day in Quebec City and two nights in Toronto. Should be one heck of a trip :) A lot of things to do in a short period of time. I'm hoping to meet a few of you guys. I've had two CAGs/RFD members confirm that they're going to meet up with me ^_^

Hope all is well!
