GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

I definitely have to see both of those movies. Tbh, I don't watch subs very much unless the dub is horrid, in the last 10 years I've found that dubs have gotten much better and the team of dubbers is constantly used, but honestly, so is the japanese cast. Therefore, I have not watched Ponyo yet (it wasn't in theaters in Canada, neither was Eureka Seven Movie :bomb:) Although Princess Mononoke will probably always be my fav Miyazaki movie just because the animation is great and the story is superb.

spike32, dubs aren't the end of the world. My problem with most anime dubs is that they re-write the scripts (which I hate) or cut out parts or remove some of the original Japanese humor/play on words etc. or make unnecessary American references and things. Oh and I hate that almost all the animes from one company will use the same voice actors over and over. Most dubs tend to lack the same enthusiasm and genuine feel in the characters voices, but I will say they have definitely improved with time.

Ponyo was hard to find in theatres here too, but I got a copy of the retail European DVD release which has the original Japanese with English subs. Nice!

I agree Princess Mononoke is a masterpiece though my favorite Miyazaki is still Spirited Away probably. It's hard to say though and my choice would probably change on which day of the week it was ^_^ You'll enjoy Ponyo! It's by far the simplest of the stories of his recent movies, but it has a lot of pure joy and some incredible animation to boot. Definitely get it on Blu-Ray when it's out. ;)

Gah I hate you with your tactics making me want to see the movie more. At least with the dub vs sub issue you didn't say the dub mouth flaps don't fit, because it was shown that dubs put more care into that than subs. Although yes, even a dub voice actor said that they put more care into emotions than making sure the mouth flaps fit. Although most anime voice actors do the voices for japanese games now which I like anyways.

The best thing about Spirited Away was the giant baby or the old witch shooting a hadoken, sure she didn't yell it out, but c'mon you know it was ;)

I have actually met the voice actor (Crispin Freeman) for Prince Turnip in Howl's Moving Castle, I met him about a month ago. Got him to sign my Wolf's Rain Boxset, Naruto UNS, and Scrapped Princess Boxset. Don't know if you're familiar with Wolf's Rain or SP but they're good series. I should've gotten him to sign my Advent Children Complete bluray I got from you, but I didn't think I'd get a chance to see him since he wasn't there till later therefore I didn't bring it :(

I'm the guy with the Tick shirt  GO TICK!

Whoa that's awesome! Howl's Moving Castle was another great one (man Miyazaki and Ghibli sure know how to make good animated movies!). Okay I gotta stop thinking about anime movies and get back to packing (which ironically I'm packing anime DVDs for telepathy lol). There are too many distractions when your primarily ship animated movies and video games (my two loves!)

haha, alright I suppose I should get to bed anyways, gotta get up to work (at my college oddly enough) in 7 hours or so. Night and gl with all the packaging, though you've probably learnt to type and package at the same time by now

Okay cya soon! Yeah, I've learned just about everything you'd ever want to know about packing. In fact, so much so that the USPS people will sometimes just say "We didn't even know you could do that" or "We'll take your word for it" since I see them on a daily basis :) They must think I have a lot of family in Canada lol.

Cya guys later :) telepathy, you got a LOT of goodies coming your way brother. You're going to be in anime/gaming heaven in a week or two ^_^
telepathy, yup we did win that for less which is great! I really envy the artbook (even if it slightly damaged it looks awesome...especially at that price!). I have to go through all your items again and figure in the past credits you have for the other eBay items and all that stuff. I have a few more packages going out tomorrow and I hope to be all caught up with your orders by Tuesday night if you can just hang in there another day or two. Since I have so many of your items I want to play around with shipping options to give you the best rate. Thanks again!
Thank you for the update goomba. I dont think you should give up on the house bonus since there is still a few weeks before the deadline.

lol, this stuff is only the tip of the iceberg. Maybe when i get around to it, ill take a picture of my massive game/anime collection to show you all the random stuff i actually have. But definitely, some of this wouldnt have happened without some of your help in obtaining a number of obscure things.

hey goomba, do you have any idea how much Priority Mail would be for three PSOne games (one of which is a double CD)? ViolentLee and I are trying to figure out the best way to get my lowball items to me heh.

lmao Goomba, you know how to do their jobs better than they do :applause: Well you can consider CAG extended family if you want, then you can say yes I have a lot of family in Canada ;)

Goomba, what is the exact shipping for a single game up to canada? I notice you charge $3, but I was wondering if that included any partnership or something with USPS.

For a couple lowball events, I want to see how much people are wanting to inflate shipping prices to canada.

game_fanatic, I definitely don't think you should go with Priority Mail. Ship them in a padded cardboard container first class and you'll get them only 2-3 days slower (and save a lot) but in case you're wondering it is $19.00 USD to mail a one pound (estimated shipping weight for the PSone games) to Canada. For first class mail you're looking at only $6.50. You decide ;)

RoganSarine, I generally pay $2.53 for the actual mail cost and round it to $3.00 to pay for the envelope and gas to the post office. Envelopes (padded bubble mailers cost about $1.00 or so each) but I buy them in bulk (250-500 at a time). Hope that helps.

Great, thanks goomba! ViolentLee seems interested about getting the Delivery Confirmation, but from my one experience with DC, the package stopped tracking once it hit Chicago, so I don't even know if the confirmation works through Canada. Thanks again!

Well the thing is that you need delivery confirmation if you pay for any shipping online (they require it), but it is as you say: the tracking stops at the US border. Sometimes it will show that it's been received by customs, but that's rare. With Priority Shipping it generally will say the item has been delivered, but that's about it. It's not by any stretch of the imagination "tracking". I don't know why the USPS and Canada Post can't collaborate to get good tracking between the countries for first class mail, but oh well :) Good luck!

Azumangaman, I didn't send the invoice yet because I'm trying to figure out how to do it for you. I had previously ordered the Snow White Blu-Ray on Amazon and it tells me that I can't use the coupon since I already have it ordered (can't add to retro-active orders) so I'm trying to see if I can buy it with an alternative account. I can invoice you but there's a slight chance (5% or less) that it won't work out. It should though *Crosses Fingers*

Hey no problem. Unfortunately I have no control over Amazon policies but $22 is mighty good all things considered. I can't wait to watch it in HD. Even if it's not widescreen hehe.

Yup yup! You're very welcome Rogan :) Thanks for your patience with our GFC growing pains. Each and every day we are improving our methods and services. One day it's really going to pay off....I can feel it!

Thanks for letting me know Icetron ^_^ I went ahead and left you positive feedback on CAG and see you did the same for me. Much appreciated :) That really is a great price on the game! I'm curious when you'll be getting a PS3. Are you getting the new PS3 slim or one of the other models? I bought a used 60GB one (for the backwards compatibility) and love it. Just such a great machine (and Blu-Ray Player). Almost time for me to go to sleep. Thanks guys! More packages shipping tomorrow, as always!

u said it. the 60gb is the best, ive never had any problems with it since i got it & it is basically the main entertainment system that ppl play at my house (well, more like SFIV i guess)

I'm not sure, I just don't feel like buying one now even though I technically could. I might wait around Dec to buy one, or even January. However if there's a good deal I may just jump in on it. :)

I don't really need BC since I already have a fat PS2, I'm not sure how much I'd trust buying used systems on Craigslist though.

RoganSarine, don't feel bad. When my payoff does finally come then I'm going to have the happiest day of my life ;) When I see my debt go down to zero and all my bills are paid, and my cars are paid off and I have as much time in the world to work on web design and my animation projects, it'll all be worth it. Like I said, GFC is a hobby for me that will eventually help me reach many of my life goals, so it's all good ^_^ Don't feel guilty! I couldn't do it without each and every one of you.

Jest, I guess you missed the memo :) I have "hired" my first "employee" LanLan a few weeks ago. She has the same setup I do and I'm training her in all the Goomba GFC ways. She's also my wife, so I have the advantage of not having to actually pay her directly (though she more than makes up for it in other spending lol). If you see any problems with her invoices just let me know. So far she's doing quite well :)

game_fanatic, indeed they did. They just showed up last night but I didn't get a chance to weigh/repack them and all that. I will get back to you in the next day or two with an invoice.

spike32, okay sounds good man. Just let me know!

They look awesome game_fanatic. You're going to love them. All bubble wrapped up as well and heavily padded and ready to be re-packed. I will send the invoice tonight if all goes as planned. I just got home from my day job so I have to settle in and get some things packed. Thanks again!

firestorm, the sale has ended I'm sorry to say (it was only for pre-orders). I have an extra copy though and if you want, I will be able to pass the discount onto you ($50 shipped to Canada). Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

Urgh. I don't have the PayPal money it seems =[ Unless you wanted to do a little more work which would be selling Disc 2 + Reach Beta on eBay yourself for $30 - $35 and selling me the Disc 1 + Case + Manual for $30 >_> It would earn you an extra $10 - $15 this way though. It's just I only seem to have $31 CAD.

Which I just realized is not $30 USD.

Frick. I could probably get the extra $3 or so off a friend though. Tell me if interested.

Firestorm, if I had more time I'd probably go with that idea but honestly I'm really backed up with GFC orders and don't have time to even list the eBay items I have specifically purchased for eBay (not to mention selling codes is a violation of eBay terms unless you physically mail the items to which I've been scammed in the past). Sorry!

Hm, sorry dude. Can you cancel my order? Invoice number 593. After shipping and conversion its more expensive than one I can buy locally. Sorry friend.

Do you have anywhere you can get a cheap copy of Street Fighter IV for PS3 though?

I also thought those emails were auto-generated :D

I'm just assuming that capcom is gonna bull a dick movie again where the extra content cannot be DLC for original owners.

I fear this is what will happen with RE5 and the new version.

Hopefully, devs will realize that they can get a lot of money if they release the content as an updated disc (to ward away people buying used copies) and DLC (pure profit).

What are they doing for original owners for SF4?

Re-releasing games and DLC that could've easily been put in the first time and preorders are also ghey. Just had to say that.

We don't know what they're doing yet, but it better be friggin' worth it.

Launch DLC I don't mind too much. Nor do i mind preorders if it's only cosmetics.

However, rebuying an entire game for simply a minor added feature? Hell, especially in the case of RE5... It's promoting your motion sense sony -- you better force them to make it DLC.

Speaking of ODST. I was wondering if my copy got shipped out. I haven't gotten a notification that the game was shipped.

Sorry to bother you about it, everyone at work wanting me to get it; they need me for some firefight achievement or something of the sort.

The voice actor for Jill or someone said she's doing additional voicework. It's basically a Director's Cut. And this is Capcom. The company that released RE4 around 5 times.

Jest, I cancelled your order. No problem. The invoices are definitely NOT auto-generated (trust me, I wish they were). I use pre-typed templates for the copy but I have to manually add in all the items one by one into Quickbooks and the Emails' numbers and info has to be typed in one-by-one. Each invoice takes a minimum of 30 minutes on average (lots of work). But it's all worth it. Oh and yes, I still have two copies of SF IV for both systems if you want one. $25 USD shipped to Canada for either system. Let me know before they go to eBay!

Firestorm and others, I didn't even know that the rumored PS3 re-release of Resident Evil 5 was official. Looks like I missed a day or two of gaming updates and missed that. That's a big one. Yeah, Capcom LOVES sequels :) Look at how many SFII's there were (not to mention Mega Mans). I think I've heard that there are over 100 versions of Mega Man games in total. I personally wouldn't be surprised if it was closer to 200. They love milking franchises (but we're all guilty for loving them so much...they're just too good =P).

Yeah I know, that's what irks me because I should have known better than to trust the price drops of a capcom game (usually resulting in a re-release).

This is why I stayed away from getting SF4 at $25 (that and a fighting game doesn't really give me a story or anything besides gameplay, so keeping it on my shelf to rot until I clear my backlog isn't very enticing).

The question I wonder is will there be any way to play cooperatively with someone who has the original version if I have the alternative version? I don't like the idea of splitting userbase, and that I just bought RE5 from Goomba. I guess I could give it to my brother provided that the game is re-released at a discounted price instead of $60 again for 1 chapter and motion control (please sony?), but it'd be nice if we could play together (and if we did... the game skips the new chapter or something).

I was just going to co-op the game through with my friend too, but we are interested in Sony's Motion Controller, so now I may wait to co-op it with him when the alternative edition comes out leaving the game I ordered from Goomba useless.

In the end, I wanted to co-op the game, and I really wanted to play the game, but I don't likely have time to play through the game twice.

I normally wouldn't care, but since this online thing happened... The re-releases butcher capcoms install base -- that's what makes me hope they arn't completely stupid even though I know they are sometimes.

I still think a downloadable patch for 50% retail (or even 75% retail) would make them WAY more money than a retail release. Or better yet, both?
