GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Setite, the Lowball sale items will start on Wednesday. I will be adding them on an ongoing basis. Some will be eBay items and others will be traditional Lowball 2.0 items like last time :) I will continue to add items each day until they're all gone (which will be a LONG time lol). Thanks for your interest :) I'm off to bed now.

** GFC UPDATE **

Let it be known that today, 11/23/2009 was the first time I successfully generated dynamic fields in PHP/Javascript/HTML forms! This means that we are one step closer to having multiple item DR pages :) My goal is to have this ready before Black Friday at least in Beta format. It won't take over the main page for quite some time but will be available as an alternative for people who want to request more items than one. I hope to have something to show you guys soon. If I wasn't working so much at my "real" jobs I'd have this done by now. Cya soon!

DR submitted for my GI Joe ROC!

Also registered to your page! Good job on all the updates.

ACK! I'm tempted to order some items from the Black Friday deals but still debating on heading down there myself to check it out. I've gone down for the last few Black Fridays and its CRAZY (deal wise and the amount of people) compared to boxing day up here Canada. Would much rather have Black Fridays than Boxing Days primarliy due to the insane cold here in Winnipeg, I've been out in -40 degree celsius weather a few times and its not fun. :cold:

Black Friday basically makes Boxing Day look like a joke. Besides a few door crasher specials that you would have to wait for overnight, it is completely not worth any adventuring. The only thing I thought was a deal so far was a 16 Gig SD card for $20 -- I shoulda bought two.

Ugh... Working today and have a terrible cold.
I sneezed and was dizzy for about 10 minutes. X_X

In other news, I'm still the lone bidder on that Key 10th Anniversary Box.
It's ending in 1 day and 5 hours (although Yahoo is full of dirty snipers), from what I've found, no one really seems to have a good weight listing for it. Just eyeballing the contents, I would imagine that it will be around 3 or 4kg though.

oh cool, thanks for the update. It's pretty cool from what i can tell.

how much would it be to ship 3 - 4 kg anyways from japan?
& dv8mad, does it actually say it's new, unopened, complete copy of the memorial box? I dont really trust google translate 100%?

edit: i remember watching one auction where it was it started at 14000 yen & ended at 14500 yen with only 2 bids (which i found was perplexing).

Yep, brand new. I gave goomba this link for shipping post.japanpost.jp they have an English link. There are a few different ways to ship, so feel free to have a look. Remember that I'm guestimating weight at the moment. ;)

Hi Goomba, did you get my PM about my login? I think I registered twice with the same username but two different emails, so I'm not sure which one I should use.. can you PM me? Thanks.

Oh hey, I bought Musashiden from your lowball. Are you goomba's contact in Japan? I want to buy some stuff from Akibaoo... is this something you do on a regular basis or were you just helping this one time?

Well apparently these are the dimensions:
Actual item - 33cm × 21.5cm × 15cm (Height)
Packaged size - 46.5cm × 23.5cm × 19cm (Height)

& the weight is this (from what i got from another site):
3.460375 kg

I don't know if these are the actual measurements but, whatever, if it helps any ...

Guys I just got home and am going to eat dinner quickly (starving!) ... I'm off from my casino job the next three days and will be working University job in the morning. I promise to respond to all your PMs, DRs and Posts here soon. Thanks!

I do this when I can, but I'm usually flat broke which is not helpful. goomba often filters through and finds things I can actually do and also serves as a guarantor of sorts for the things I go out and buy just in case someone falls through. Basically, he has the entire infrastructure setup and I'm the leg man. LOL

The measurements are accurate from what I've seen. The weight is the iffy one. I have seen from 3.2kg to 3.7kg, which is why I just say 3-4kg. Seems no one knows how to weigh a package here! LOL

True enough, unless you do it on a regular basis (or know how to use a scale).
As long as it's complete, I'll be satisfied with that.

shadow_nine, thanks for your DR and your registration. I'm going to send you the invoice tonight as soon as possible. I have a ton of things to go through :) appreciate it!

dv8mad, thanks for staying on top of things. Hope you feel better man. Lots of people are sick right now and I'm trying my best to avoid it myself. Crossing my fingers!

telepathy, yes the website here is very good for calculating shipping from Japan: http://post.japanpost.jp - good for quick estimates anyhow :)

TripleQ, I deleted your duplicate login and wrote to you about it. I thought you got it. I'll resend my message now. Thanks!

Oh and yes dv8mad is my main man in Japan :) He's helped me on several occasions now. I love the man like a brother!

Unfortunately no. I wish I did telepathy but I just don't know that many UK people (I have one woman from the UK right now who is trying to scam me out of $40 on eBay though ...boo!). In any case, I hope to one day have contacts in all major world regions but alas, my influence is still very small at this point. I will definitely increase in my global reach soon enough though ^_^

Just out of curiousity, what PS3 steelbooks did you want?

Ive been kinda interested in all steelbooks for the PS3 in general.

The ones i remember are:
Uncharted 2 (screw you fortune hunter's edition)
Prince of Persia
Killzone 2
Infamous
Call of Duty World at War
Mirror's Edge (apparently only released in Spain & very hard to come by)

I'm definitely not in a hurry to pick them up but they would be nice to have for the right price. (Pounds are very expensive you know).

edit: these are the UK/PAL ones that were exclusive to GAME.co.uk & stuff like that.

Okay yeah, I looked on ebay.co.uk and you're right...quite expensive but pretty awesome nonetheless :) I didn't realize there were so many steelbooks over there. Wow...

The only steelbook I have is the Modern Warfare 2: Hardened Edition. I listed it on eBay and the buyer still hasn't paid me after all this time. Bad week for eBay =-P

These will be listed with my lowball items this week, so I didn't want to spam the forums with them. Thanks for listing them though ^_^ hehe.

Oh and if you are curious what I got scammed on eBay, here's the thing. I sold a $20 iTunes card to this woman. She requested the code by Email so I sent it to her. Then she claimed to eBay that she never got the item. So she got her money back ($20) and the free iTunes card. I contacted a bunch of other sellers she bought from and she did the same thing to them too. I am trying to fight it, but eBay doesn't generally side with sellers (even if they claim they do). The buyer has ALL the power, especially now that we can't leave negative feedback for bad buyers. It sucks, but I'm going to do what I can.

I mailed the physical card to her (which the address seems bogus too btw) to show eBay I did mail the physical item, but I'm sure they'll give her money back to her and rip me off as they always do. They really couldn't care less about sellers these days (which is why eBay is quickly losing their long reach they once had). My two cents and rant for the day :)

Yeah, that's really sucks goomba. Would it actually be better to send it through ebay via a message? Then you have the proof on the site that you had sent it.
(I'm gonna be selling a digital code over the next few days & wonder if it would be more secure.)

telepathy, eBay officially does not allow or accept digital products anymore. So if you list one then the buyer can ALWAYS scam you. The only way to truly protect yourself is to ship an item with tracking and even then the person can claim the code didn't work (after they redeemed it). It's a very fine line and eBay is crummy about supporting sellers as I mentioned. Just be careful :) Only sell to buyers who have a lot of feedback and if you want to send by Email/PM/whatever just protect yourself. Good luck!

Thanks Jaszypoo! Of course I remember you man =P I remember all my orders ^_^ I'm good like that hehe. I'll be sending your invoice tonight or tomorrow morning. Thanks!

Really? WTF. That's pretty dumb if you ask me. Digital distribution is a big business, & i notice that a lot of people are selling codes all the time on Ebay. I just dont understand how they can do absolutely nothing to support sellers in that regard.
Man, that $80 Fatal Frame 3 pack looks enticing... Still -- not as low as I'd like.
and what $80 fatal frame pack are you referring to Rogan?

The one on the cag front page. GameQuest has the fatal frame trilogy on sale for $80... Contemplating picking it up, but that results in blow a majority of my black friday money >.

telepathy, it is dumb but there is a lot of scamming on both sides with digital codes (many sellers use stolen credit cards to buy iTunes/Game cards/etc. and many buyers are scammers so it sucks for both sides).

GameQuest's BF deals are up early guys in case you didn't know. Keep in mind the sales will likely get better on Friday itself. I'm going to be SUPER busy with orders (already am) so remember that you can order items yourself to my UPS account if you haven't done so already. If you need my payment info and address PM me and I'll send it to you. I don't want to display all that in here directly on the forum. Thanks!

I hear it is a FANTASTIC series. I was hoping for the Wii Remake to come to the US, but looks like it's not going to (bummer). I'm a big fan of creepy sort of games even if I'm wussy to actually play them. Strange I am. In any case $80 for the trilogy is actually not bad at all. I'd be tempted to get it for myself if I didn't have a bazillion games in backlog.

lol, i still have too many games to play myself (still have to finish playing arkham asylum & infamous, & still have to finish agarest but since my friend took back his hdtv i have 2 wait to get my own since the game cant be played on ntsc 480i)

I am still trying to catch up with NES/SNES/GB games lol so God knows I'll never play all the games I want to in my lifetime. I'm in a never-ending busy-cycle it seems. Maybe one day if I pay off my bills and do only GFC as a full-time job then I can :) but at that point I'll probably still be eternally busy. Oh well ^_^;;

** Still sending Invoices **

Still, everytime you mention the thought of GFC self sustaining I get really giddy. I always find it fascinating when a company can be built from literally nothing and become a self-sustaining income for your entire life... Screwattack did it (thanks to AVGN), CheapyD did it, destructoid did it, and a bunch of other blogs.

Even though I love studying medicine, owning a self-sustained video game related business has always been my dream job... I've tried multiple times, but have never successfully gone anywhere with it to the point where I can no longer justifying paying for hosting to practice coding on.

Goomba, by the way, did you ever decide on a name for GFC that wasn't so misleading?

It's not a really unrealistic dream if you ask me. The way I look at it, I make around $400 a week at my Poker job working 30 hours a week or so. I could make that in theory getting 150-200 orders a week with GFC. Granted, it's a lot more than 30 hours of work probably at that point, but working from home and not having a boss over your shoulders is a nice benefit of course.

My only real issue with it is that once you choose ANY medium as a business and not a hobby (gaming for example) you lose a lot of what makes gaming fun :) I am literally surrounded by games in my office here, but I haven't played a console game in weeks (Unless you count 1 Vs. 100 on Xbox 360 which we played for an hour the other day). This probably has a lot to do with me being married and working two jobs though. If GFC was my only job, then I'm sure I could sneak a bit more gaming in ^_^

For now I am going to have two services:

GFC - GamesForCanada.com - The Oldie but Goodie. I'm going to keep this site as video games is still our main product we sell.

Opening in January 2009 is "FashionForwarder.com" which is going to be our clothing/fashion themed service (we get a LOT of clothing orders actually) and that won't be country specific.

Then in January/February 2009 I will be making a third site that will be all-encompassing. I will use the same services for all three sites and they will be virtually clones of each other, but it will help branch my services in new directions without being misleading/confusing. You'll see. I know I can pull it off ^_^

Sent another one after looking through the list... Some stuff in there I've always wanted to rent again and finally beat, but could never find it for the longest time at a bargain bin price.

Unfortunately, still waiting on Fatal Frame and Shadow of Destiny :p

Gohastings has some pretty good steals on last generation games that you can't find at EB anymore. While the stand out gems arn't there like Fatal Frame, Shin Megami, etc., there are some sleeper hits at a decent price like Beyond Good and Evil, Soul Reaver 2, The Suffering, etc.

Other than the sleeper hits, I don't think there is much in terms of live deals yet. Amazon is, as of right now, the saving grace for Black Friday as nothing interests me yet.

Yes! The item has been won from yahoo auctions japan. How much more money do you think I need to send you goomba? (I've already sent you $172 USD previously when i didnt win that other auction)

I've not really ever been in this thread before, but it's about time for me to renew my XBL subscription, and apparently this is the place to visit. Any chance of any subs within the next week?

telepathy, I'll have to get back to you on that one =) We'll figure it out.

Kekumba, There definitely should be some sales on XBL between now and Christmas for sure. On Amazon they have a 12 month card for $40 USD ($42 with my service fee) which is good but I'm hoping for more stores to go down to $30 again. We'll see :) Keep an eye on our forum. Thanks for looking!

Goomba I sent you another direct request and can you also send me your UPS box address just in case I see something else during black Friday ;)
Amazon is revving up for their sales with daily lightning deals. Here's the forum on CAG that lists the items/hints of what's coming up:

Hey Goomba, can you PM me the address of your UPS store? I just shipped an Amazon order direct to you, 'cuz that's how we did it last time.

I sent you an email about it at noon today.

I'm interested in some of the Amazon lightning deals and was wondering if I would be able to get the information needed to ship to your UPS store? If we are to purchase items via this method, are we supposed to notify you of the item through the Direct Request form?
