GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Oh no worries, no need to apologize. You're a one man company, it's tough ;) I think I might just keep that on hold for now, depending if Steam has L4D2 on sale on Friday; or if there are any other. Otherwise, I'll pm you the paypal maybe on the weekend. Thanks!

Sepharite, I REALLY appreciate your understanding. With time we are going to automate almost the entire process (except the shipping of course) which will make my one man business a lot more efficient. I grew a lot faster than I ever thought possible so it's just a bit of business growing pains :) We'll work it out. I'll keep your funds on hold to see what happens with Black Friday. Thanks again.

sinath, not a problem. If you submit a blank or incomplete order it just gets deleted from the system anyway. Soon I will be adding check safes and "DO you want to submit this info" screens and stuff. All coming soon once the chaos of Black Friday week subsides and my life returns to "normal" :)

Setite, due to the overwhelming business of BF week I'm going to hold off on the lowball sale for now. The items will be the same and the sale will be massive. Just may be a few weeks. Sorry ^_^ I started listing some of them but just feel it's better for everyone if we wait a little bit. Hope you understand :)

telepathy, yeah I'll get a list of most of the items at least a week in advance to you guys.

Omenic, I haven't seen any real deals on the Xbox cards except for Amazon selling the Live Messenger pack a bit lower. Should be SOMEWHERE discounting them this weekend I'd hope though.

flames23, this week is sort of an exception to the rule. Normally I get items shipped out within 2-3 days at most but this week sales will mean I get a lot of orders so it may be 1-2 weeks total after ordering that I get your items out. I will ship them out as soon as they come in to me, but I process orders in the order I receive them so...

The best way for you to get in on the Black Friday sales are to order your items yourself and ship to my UPS address (I can give you the information about this if you like). Otherwise you'll have to use my direct request form on my website here:

They work for sales that are longer term or all-day. Not the best to use for quick sales that end really quickly like 30 minute sales or limited availability. If you have any other questions let me know. Oh and we always accept new customers lol.
Thank you. Another question: I was reading the forum and had put it in my mind that I could pay for all of this through paypal. Obviously a lot of sites don't deal with Paypal (paypal is linked to my bank account - I'm not using any credit cards tonight) so I had the idea that I could just send you money rather than order things on my own.

But again, that was a relatively ill-thought out idea with how busy you will be yourself online tonight.

#1: Know of any sites that do accept paypal. Things my brother and I will be looking for: Men's clothing (he wants some MMA style apparel, new dress clothes as well - funny contrast I know) and I'm looking for cheap xbox 360 games :p Is all this available on amazon.com (with paypal payment) and do they accept shipping to a different address than what is 'registered' with paypal?

#2 Know of any other sites that accept paypal , since I'm unable to use my credit card tonight?

#3 Can I have your UPS address Goomba, and also maybe an MSN address if you use messenger. If you'd rather not give it out, that's okay. I just wanted a method to contact you in the middle of sales as a n00b if I needed help lol.

Thanks in advance for your response(s).

Goomba, how quickly do you think you'll be keeping up with DRs during Black Friday?I want to make a topic on RFD for Games / DVDs (easy to ship items), but I don't want to do it if it'll end up being too much to handle and damaging your reputation.

Firestorm, here's the deal. I just got home from my grandparents. It's 9:51 PM now and I'm filled to the brim on Turkey. I'm going to be taking a shower and a nap now and waking up at 1AM EST. I figure the 3 hours will do me some good. Then I'm going to stay up from 3AM-6AM or so doing orders. So while you're welcome to invite RFD'ers to come, I am definitely going to be quite busy. If you put a warning that it will be first-come-first served then that's fine :)

GFC Special Black Friday Event! Starts at 2:00 AM EST

Option #1: GFC Chat Room at 2:00 AM EST:

Feel free to join us on our very first ever Black Friday live event. I will be opening a chat room open to all customers (new and previous) on our website starting at 2:00 AM EST. Most of the Amazon sales will be going live at 3AM with many other sites doing sales as well. I will be waking up and staying up for several hours to take your orders. Feel free to join us in our chat room here:

http://gamesforcanada.com/chat.html

Keep in mind I will not be in the chat room until 2:00 AM EST, but you are free to come in early and talk amongst yourselves if you want or help out other users.

Option #2: Use Our Direct Request (DR) Form:

If you know of a sale or want to order an item already available online you can order it using our traditional method "Direct Request" here:

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/direct-request.php

Option #3: Order Yourself to our UPS Address:

We also have a new method in which you can order items directly to our UPS store account. Keep in mind this method requires you to pay for the items yourself and have them shipped to our secure mailing location. Doing so means you will be responsible for the shipping to Canada and any service charges associated with the sale. If you wish to have an item returned then you will still be responsible for the service charge and any return fees associated with the mailing back of the package. This is only for people who are sure they want the items :) Having a general idea of what an item weighs will help significantly. If you want to try this method, instructions are given in the following spoiler tag:
1) First you’ll need the shipping address of course. Here it is:

James Parks
1601 W Main St.
#90-341
Willimantic, CT 06226-1100
UNITED STATES

Phone Number: (321) 243-2892

2) EVERY TIME you ship to this address you MUST fill out a Direct Request (“DR”) on this page:

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/direct-request.php

This is important, because it will let me know what's coming (so I know it’s yours) as I can't actually have you put your name on the package with a C/O as I would traditionally. Just let me know what you're sending and I will get it and invoice you for shipping once I get it. I check my UPS store account 1-2 times a week (typically Wednesday/Thursday). If you need any other info just let me know. Thanks!

Oh and another thing. If you order from a website that allows "Gift Messages" (for free) you can put your name /CAG name/etc. on there so I know whose it is, since you can't put your name on the actual package. Thanks again!

We still just charge our standard $2.00 USD for the first item and $1.00 for each additional item. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages ($1.00 per package) which I will add into the invoice for you when I get your items.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out a Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. Thanks again!
So, when does amazon's thing start PST? 11?
I'm pretty sure Amazon.com is west coast, and the deals start at 12PST. Goomba is waking up an hour early though.

Oops...sent you an unfinished DR, goomba (accidentally pressed the enter/return key too early). Just ignore that one, the one that follows should be everything I want (provided I don't hit enter again too early). D'oh!

Yeah, I just popped in and it's quite dead now. It was fun around midnight (although I was only lurking half the time I was there), we need a reason to do it again sometime

I'm awake now, just that I'm at school is all.

edit: currently idling in the chat atm. will be here for a few hours 2 chat if anyone wants 2 join me.

Just a heads up Goomba ... put in an Amazon order to your USP address and filled out a DRS ....
getting caught up on the summer blockbusters we missed in theatres :)

Goomba: I require your assistance.

My brother has filled his cart to his heart's content at MMAwarehouse.com, and now I'm ready to pay for it all. Thing is, it's just shy of $300 US worth of clothing (9 items). Shipping it all to you is fine in one order.

My question is how to get it out to us from your place. Sending that much clothing at once will certainly interest customs. I'd rather not have to pay another $100 (roughly the savings during the sale) to get it from the post office. This would make buying it pointless.

Do you utilize methods whereby, you would send 1-3 items at a time, thereby avoiding hefty/any duty fees for situations like this?

Let me know the best way to continue. Also, I can send you the money via paypal right now and have you complete the order if you are available to do so or can try doing it myself and shipping to you if they allow me to do that.

Before I do anything though, I would like to know if you'd be able to split up the order and if that would work in avoiding heavy duty fees.

Thanks for your time.

Guys! I survived Black Friday and the insanity at work. As you know, last night I was up with you from 2:00 AM - 4:45 AM which was fun, even if the deals were a slight bit disappointing this time around. Then I went to sleep for 3 hours, got up and went to work for the special Black Friday Poker Tournament. Worked my whole shift, met my college friends for the first time in 9 years and saw an awesome They Might Be Giants concert to boot. Now I'm back home, I have nearly 50 Direct Requests, another 20 or so packages that came today and over 100 Emails. CHAOS!

The good news is I survived :) I'm working the next four days and then on 12/04/2009 - 12/09/2009 I will be out of town visiting Los Angeles and the Walt Disney Animation Studios to see their new movie "The Princess and the Frog". It's a once in a lifetime chance to go so I'm dying to get out there before it's too late.

Keep in mind I will be processing as many orders as possible this week inbetween work. If you have an item you want and can't order yourself then use the DR form but realize I may be a bit slow to get back to you with so many of them. If you have a time-sensitive item you can use the UPS account I have (info listed on the front page in the first post on this forum thread). If you have any questions let me know. Thanks!

flames23, well clothing is usually easy enough to split up into seperate packages which helps a lot for customs purposes. I can't really tell how much they'll weigh before having them in person at my office, but yes I have a lot of experience with this sort of thing. So by all means you can order them and I will split them up so you hopefully don't get slammed at customs :)

Hi goomba478,

First time user of your services here! I've read all the good things so I've decided to give it a shot. I've got Amazon.com gift cards so I'm going to order Dead Space Extraction for the Wii and possibly a small filler for super saver shipping. Just wanted to give you the heads up!

Cheers

Thank you so much for the quick reply. Okay, so I'll go ahead and try ordering with paypal account , but shipping it to your UPS store location in your name.

I'm assuming I still need to fill out a DR form due to the chaos surrounding your quantity of incoming orders? Do I do this for each of the 9 items of clothing, or just group them into one?

Apologies for all the questions :p

tkszeto, that's great! So happy to have you on board :) This sure is a super-crazy week for us at GFC but we'll be happy to help you. I see that you already paid for it, that's fantastic. I'll let you know when it comes in!

flames23, yes please do fill out the DR form. The UPS store is going to be incredibly surprised with my sudden increase in orders (I've had the account for nearly 6 months but rarely got more than a package a week...surprise!). I told them I'd be ordering a lot for the holidays, but I think they will be really shocked lol. I definitely will weigh your options for shipping once I get all the items in. Thanks again!

Hey Goomba, hate to bug you about this with all the black friday madness but I was wondering you had received my "Star Wars 12" Action Collection Figure - Luke Skywalker in Hoth Gear" yet?

Thanks.

goomba I made a request, but it look so messy lol! :D

Nyko Perfect Shot x 2: $7.58 each
Heroes: Season 2 DVD: $12.99
Dead Space Extraction $24.55
Rune Factory Frontier Wii $27.99
The Office Season 1-4 DVD: $11.49-$12.99

Seems like Nyko Perfect Shot went back up to $15, let me know if you ordered them at $7.58 each, if not hold off that for now :)

Again, no problem filling out the DR Form. I just emailed you @ your improcomics address with further info. My main question was if you wanted me to fill out NINE DR forms (for the 9 articles of clothing) or since you don't actually have to order these for me, I could just fill out the one with the order number in the 'url link' field. :)

Crazy Goomba :) Here is hoping my package is in that pile of boxes :mrgreen:

Thanks!
Goomba, when you receive the EB Games/GoHastings stuff I ordered, can you just fire me an email with what includes what? (IE: Which one has manual/box arts). This way, I can get the box art printed off.

I will take care of all DR's before I leave for LA, even if it means shutting down the DR page for a day or two (which I never have had to do). I have almost 200 packages coming in and nearly 100 DR's so am going to e processing night and day to catch up. I'm doing my best, just hang in there :)

Good news guys, my little tablet PC (Thanks for the recommendation RoganSarine) came in today and it ended up being even cheaper than the Black Friday sale thanks to eBay. So I'm going to try and bring that to work today and from now on to process DR's on my breaks. Keep in mind I have over 100 orders still to process but I'm working as fast as I can. Thanks again! Off to work I go...

Goomba I just prepayed for a DR I sent last night. Really hope you can order from newegg before they run out or price goes back up (more likely).
tkszeto, that's great!

Awesome, thanks goobma478!

I'm guessing you are going to have a crazy week coming up with tons of orders.

Hey cool, you ended up getting one. What did you end up getting exactly?

Back from work again today (another full 8 hour+ day). Did pretty good in the poker room and now I'm processing more DR's and my wife is unpacking the packages that are literally pouring in. I am going on vacation on 12/04/2009 but I'm not entirely sure I'm going to LA or not. I may end up going to the New York showing (as it'll save me over $1000 in total) but it's not as fun =P so we'll see. Processing as many DR's as possible!
