GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.
Hi i would like to find where i can order the muramasa wii sound track 3 disk pack?
i dont seems to find it other than ebay T_____T;;;
maybe i just suck at looking up good deals hahahaa
Normally you need to find deals yourself.

Because I'm really nice I've done the work for you this time. =p

It's $50 with $15 shipping on ebay. So roughly $68 Canadian shipped.

Through Amazon.co.jp it's 5500 yen shipped, so roughly $63.

Obviously it's your decision to which the better deal is. Either way, they both ship to Canada, so you won't need Goomba's assistance this time =)

Amazon.co.jp link
Ebay.com link

Another good website to find soundtracks, in the future, is Play Asia. They don't seem to have this soundtrack though.

Edit: Goomba, maybe you want to add affiliate links to your site? Play-Asia, DX, Amazon, Ebay, etc.? I usually cycle through affiliate links, if the sites I'm buying from don't offer some sort of cashback website incentive.

Also, if you're not already doing it Goomba, use bing cashback when you use buy it now on ebay. It's 8% back for you =) (Not for Canadians, only for U.S. ebay accounts that use a valid U.S. address)

BSG Complete Series Blu Ray is now $149.99 on Amazon.ca.

This is for the newly redesigned slim set coming out next month.

Total cost tax in (in Ontario) with free shipping is $169.49.

Total cost for the slim set is $209.99 from Amazon.com.

If anyone is interested in me pulling a Goomba, I'm willing to buy 3-4 of these and ship em out to CAG members. Priority goes to people in this post obviously =)

The cost to ship this to the U.S. should be around $12, bringing your total up to around $185. (Saving you at least $25)

If interested, just PM. (If you want anything else from the .ca website at the same time just lmk)

Goomba, thanks for the reply, can't wait for that headset!

Hey Goomba, I'm #964.

I just checked the gyros page. If you do end up needing more for shipping, just PM me here. My email's kind of a mess.

Lots of great news and updates gsrce, much appreciated :) I actually did try using affiliate links for Play-Asia and other sites but didn't really pick up any sales from it. The only time I ever really made any money was with eBay and Amazon links. I'll be using them more in the future but right now my main goal is just getting the site services all up and running to their fullest. I do appreciate the suggestion though!

Thanks again :)

Hey Goomba just wanted to let you know the Gryos page is down. The rest of the site seems fine but when I try to check Gryos I get a Host Gator 404 page not found error page instead

Gold_Guardian, not to worry :) I just took it down temporarily while updating it. Sorry about that. I'm working (literally) in the basement of a University building and there is no Wi-Fi connection here so I had to set up my own ad-hoc Internet and it got cut out when updating. All is well now and the link should load properly ^_^ Thanks!

Okay guys I'm leaving my UConn job now. I caught up with all DR's that I received so if you didn't hear from me for a new order just let me know. Some do fall through the cracks every now and then but I should have hit all the major ones (Package Forwarding ones not included). Thanks for all your support.

I'm off to see Alice in Wonderland in IMAX 3D now and have to drive over 2 hours to get to the theatre so I won't be online till much later tonight. Cya soon!

Someone must really like little girls in frilly dresses to drive two hours... =p

gsrce, a lot longer than 2 hours ... that was just one way :) So altogether about 4 hours for frilly dresses and my answer to you is: who doesn't! As a major Disney Fan, Tim Burton fan and yes girls in frilly dresses fan the movie is not to be missed. It definitely exceeded my expectations and I'm glad that it wasn't just a straight remake of the original. It's more of a sequel and has a lot of "Through the Looking Glass" elements. Definitely recommend it. I saw it in IMAX 3D which was also exceptionally nice for the eyes. The movie drips in visual effects and while the 3D isn't as fancy as Avatar's, there's a real genuine niceness about it all.

** GFC Direct Request Update **

I just wanted to let you guys know I am incorporating some really important changes to the Direct Request 2.0 website. The weight/price added service charge has always been in place with my manual orders but a lot of you don't truly understand how it works so I have added it into the automated DR 2.0 system (it's not yet in the DR Classic page as that is manually processed anyhow. It is explained on the Package Forwarding page though). So here's an explanation of how it works. Keep in mind I just coded this in about 90 minutes or so and there's a small chance it may glitch out. If you see something acting out of place, let me know. Here's how it works:

This will be properly calculated by our new PHP code.

Normal items less than $150 in value or less than 5 pounds shipped will not be affected. This added service charge is necessary since some orders obviously require a lot more energy/time/work and this is a fair way to implement it. If you feel a service charge is excessive for a particular item, just let me know and I will consider revising it on a case-by-case basis. Thanks guys for understanding. Again, this is something I've had implemented for over a year now and doesn't affect most orders :)

Okay I just tested it with around 10 test runs and it seems to be working. Again, this isn't really anything new, it's just new that it's automated. This is to keep in line with my future vision of having all payments as close to automated as possible as it makes it easier for the invoicing stages, keeping my customers up to date and in-the-know on how much it'll cost them and of course will speed things up so I can process more package shipping and less manual calculating.

Thanks for your support guys :) I appreciate everything you do for us!

Goomba, is there a way to specify in your script to make that a SINGLE item over that much (if not already). I'm going to assume it works on an item-by-item basis, but it may not.

If your script works on the entire order, then you may want to point that out?

Just a quick thought that you didn't really touch on.

RoganSarine, it's something to think about but at the moment I think it makes more sense to do the item total because as it stands I've been getting several large orders lately (snowboards, skis, surround sound speaker systems, drum kits, 60+ games in a single order) so I think the weight/value added thing is somewhat necessary.

Most larger orders the savings are more substantial (for instance a $1500 computer) so I think typically the $5.00+ charge is fair. Again, if you feel your order is unfairly overcharged just let me know and I can take it into consideration. I have made exceptions in the past in terms of group orders/eBay lots/etc. Some items too that are smaller but heavy I sometimes make exceptions for. There's no denying though an item that requires me to drive my gas-guzzling SUV 20 miles to deliver due to an over-sized package deserves an additional charge though.

To further clarify, the additional money added isn't on the item total including shipping. It's simply the total of the items ordered OR the full weight of the package.

So if you have a $200 item and it weighs 4 pounds, the service charge would be $7.00 ($2.00 for initial service charge + $5.00 for the $150+ order). The weight falls under 5 pounds so it isn't charged anything extra but likewise a $290 item weighing 9 pounds would still only be a $7.00 service charge as the value does not reach $300 in total and does not reach 10 pounds in weight. Hope that makes sense :)

I highly recommend you play around with the Direct Request 2.0 system with some trial runs/test orders. Don't click the bottom for the payment options as that will actually submit an order to me, but the initial screen with the totals and estimated fees doesn't actually submit anything in terms of an actual order, so it's good for estimates. The fact that the script accurately calculates all fees now will better help you estimate larger orders. Smaller orders will be unaffected.

This automated system is necessary for the next steps which will allow you to have store credit shown in real time on the site. The option to load credit on the site will exist, past credit can be loaded into the system by me and your reward points will be calculated/deducted in real time as well. It's definitely a game-changer and will make our site far more professional in the end :)

I was just wondering how it works mainly because there could be an off chance that someone does order like, for example, 3 games valued at $55 each.

I understand a snowboard, computer, etc. because that's a single item.

Then again, people probably won't complain since you do deserve the money, but if their order CAN be seperated to save them money -- I was confused whether you wanted them to know this, you didn't take it into account, etc.

Honestly, I think I have a point somewhere in there, but I'm so tired I wouldn't doubt it if I'm making no sense or not reading something right. I'm tired... So many mini-exams this week -- not cool.

RoganSarine: suggestion taken. I have changed the wording to say "or group of items totaling $150 or more") on the service fee descriptions. I appreciate the attention to detail. :)

Well, I'm not so sure that splitting up their order in your case (3 x $55 items) would really help them save them money in the long run. While it's true they would avoid the extra service charge from GFC, they'd end up paying more in postage typically as 3 games shipped separately would add up to more money in the long run (especially if they want to insure them and such). But you're correct. A smart shopper could systematically game my system, but really that's their choice. If you're creative enough to get around them then by all means :) It looks better in my records for taxes I suppose to have three separate sales anyhow in the long run. I'd typically prefer to ship three individual games actually than larger orders anyhow as they're far easier to pack! ^_^

You make a lot of sense :) But no worries. I'm not out to cheat you guys or try to skim extra money off the side. I just think easier orders should have lower fees and more complex/heavy/expensive/complicated orders should have an added fee to represent their level of difficulty/complication/extra care added. That's all. Thanks again.

I'm off to bed now but I'm always open to discussion about this or any of my policies. We're an evolving little business venture for sure, and we only want to do what's best for everyone. After April 15th this will be my secondary source of income, so I really do have to try to think professionally about this sort of thing as my life and personal economy quite literally depends on it.

Will you be thinking about adding specific weight options for commonly shipped items, such as an average game or DVD (not boxed sets or tin casing or whatever)? For instance, shipping a normal PS3 or XBox 360 game is generally taken as $3. A normal person wouldn't really know what the weight is though. It starts getting confusing when they start adding on more games, since if their estimate for each game was an ounce or two off, the error would be multiplied. Basically, what I'm saying is what if you add a weight menu for each item, and add a few more options to the drop-down menu for common items (eg. DS game, XBox 360 game, etc.) instead of just having numbers. Then, it can automatically add up the weight of each item to get the total weight.

Now for something unrelated to the above. Are you able to use the CAG16 code for used gamestop games to get a 16% discount? What about EDGE discounts?

Also, if you haven't already considered it, the FAQ being placed at the bottom of the webpage is a little hard to find. It might be better on the top or side menu bars. Or, are you just keeping it at the bottom because it's not complete yet?

JoJoBlue, I know where you are coming from the fact is it would probably get too messy if I had options for combinations for the various items we sell would probably be a bit much. I could perhaps put it in the drop box on the side (ie: 6-7 Ounces [Standard Game/DVD weight]) but we'll see. Maybe I'll make a page instead with a bunch of common item weights for reference and have it linked on the page to open in a separate window if the user wants it to.

As for the CAG16, the answer is yes I can do that but keep in mind many of the used games from Gamestop.com are incomplete, scratched or otherwise imperfect. I've even received games marked as "Defective" or "Damaged" on the outside from Gamestop.com so I don't put a whole lot of faith in their online department, despite all their promises and guarantees and so forth. Their in-store purchases seem to be more reliable and their new games online seem fine 99% of the time, but used ones are a bit sketchy, which is probably why they discount them in the first place =P My EDGE is about to expire next week, unless you'd like to renew it for me :)

Jeffx, that's good news about the CAD getting stronger again. The other day a customer accidentally paid me in CAD instead of USD and when I converted it, it was less than a dollar difference for the entire order. I had a feeling that's what was happening. Should be a busy summer!

Just wanted to confirm before I order;

So if I fill out the page for an item in the US and pre pay for it, the item will be purchased and shipped right away or is there like an approval stage or something?

Thanks.

SourSamo, yes that's correct. If you prepay it then we will order it immediately and well add your order to our GYROS system for you to track its progress. If any of your estimatations for shipping were off then we will invoice you for the difference once your item is in. Simple as that :) Thanks!

Thanks SourSamo, I'm glad you think so :) We are working our best to make the process as quick and easy as possible. The more customers we get, the more we need to work on automating things to speed it up. So far so good! Our site currently only automates shipping rates for Canada, but this week and next we hope to add in: England, France, Spain, Australia, Italy, Pakistan, Russia and a few others as well. Eventually we should have all major countries added so that it will auto-calculate your rates (as long as you are registered with the site). Thanks again for your support. Looking forward to assisting you with your order ^_^

Thanks again SourSamo. That's the spirit! I got your payment, ordered your Astro A40's in White and added your order to the GYROS page. I see that you estimated the shipping at $30.00 so I'm not sure if that was shipping to USA + Canada, but I'll adjust if it if necessary. AstroGaming.com charged $13.50 to ship it to the USA but still a heck of a lot cheaper than $91.00 USD. Geez!

Ah, that's true. A reference page would probably be just as good and less cluttered. I have thought about the quality of used Gamestop games, but I wasn't sure if you had any locally where you can do pick-ups. If you do, it'd definitely be nice to get a complete game, even if there's a bit of an extra service charge and no 16% discount. As for your EDGE renewal... maybe for your birthday? I'm not even sure how to go about doing that though...

Hi Goomba,

I sent in another request for the mail forwarding of the Okami and Megaman art books a couple of days ago, but they just sent me an email saying my order has been cancelled so please disregard that request.

Also, my blu-ray Amazon order has shipped, just a heads up if you happen to go to your post box in the next while. Thanks. :)

Goomba, what am I supposed to do when I want to add more items to the order? I've submitted a DR, is that ok with you?
Have you received the books? I've already finished 13 masquerade novels, so now I'm eagerly waiting for another fix :)

Guys, I'm home from a relatively difficult day of work at the casino. Things are getting crazy with our big tournament coming up in two weeks and a bunch of new dealers are coming in as well. That being said I wanted to make one quick statement:

I don't believe in blatantly lying to customs for the sakes of avoiding duties/taxes/custom fees. I don't mind marking an item down a few dollars as many times used items and discounted items are cheaper than their MSRP, but I will not ever outright lie about an item or its value. Please don't expect me to mark a brand new computer as "defective" or "computer parts" or ask me to mark down on customs as being a "consumer sample" or "warranty return". Doing these things is not only something I don't believe in, but I could get into big trouble both legally and financially and it'd be the end of GFC. So please, keep this in mind. I don't feel comfortable doing it and won't. Thanks for understanding.

Leshita, I also had my Mega Man books cancelled a while back so it seems to be something they're doing across the boards. Very sorry about that. I'll keep an eye out for your Blu-Ray :)

Setite, yes adding another DR is totally fine :) You did it just great so no worries. I haven't yet received your books but expect they should be here any day now. There was a package for pickup at the USPS today that I missed so I'll try to get it tomorrow. I will keep you updated.

I'm going to go and process a ton more orders. Still have around 40 new orders and a bunch of existing ones that have come in and need to be photographed, updated and shipped out. Thanks guys! See you soon ^_^

Lying to customs about an item's value means no real insurance. I always choose to insure my packages, so I wouldn't even consider asking Goomba to "outright lie about an item or its value" and I have no idea why anyone would.

Setite, good news. I got your Amazon Gift Card and ordered those glasses for you :) I'll let you know when all your items are in so we can get the out to you again. I agree that undermarking items to save money on customs, especially for larger items, doesn't make sense when it comes to insurance. Why try to save $20 on customs and run the risk of losing a $500+ item in the mail without insurance. Just doesn't make sense in the long run.

matthijst, I sent you an Email yesterday about it but I'm not sure you got it so I just copied it and sent to your PM. Let me know soon because I'm leaving for work soon :) Thanks!

Mr. Goomba, yet again I can't thank you enough for your services. Your package was waiting for me when I got in today and I couldn't be happier. I really hope I sent you enough for shipping? Seemed rather pricey. The game, CDs and box set all were in great shape. I definitely appreciate your extra padding and supplies to make sure it arrives safely, the box took a beating but everything inside was in perfect shape.. I'll take pictures soon of the disc set, it's just amazing to say the least. :) Cheers for doing everything for me!

Hello Goomba! First post here (and read quite a bit of stuff in this topic), just wondering if I ordered my stuff correctly...If so, hopefully we can continue to do business =]

CrushEm, that's great news ^_^ Yeah I can't do much for the outside boxes but I always do my best to make sure the insides are untouched which is what counts. I'd love to see the photos of that set, those items looked so incredible. The artwork is just so awesome :) Thanks again! As far as I know your money covered all the shipping so no worries!

gsrce, I'm on my way to the UPS store at 11:00 AM so I expect the last of your items should be in. Would you do me a favor and just let me know the full list of your items to make sure everything is accounted for? Thanks buddy :)

CaptainKishimoto, welcome to GFC! I do believe you did everything properly with your order. I'll be back at the office tonight and will process all the new orders and will let you know if anything looked off. From a quick glance though it looked good to me. I'll update you soon ^_^ Thanks!

Guys, I'm going out across the state today and won't be back until later tonight. I'll be processing a lot of the new orders and updating GYROS around midnight as per usual. Thanks again. If you have any questions feel free to PM/Email me but realize I won't respond perhaps for a good while as today is quite busy. Cya soon :)

Hey Goomba, I got my order #1000 yesterday. Thanks so much, the train toys are great! My son si going to go crazy when he see it all put together.

tkszeto, I'm so happy :) and to think, it only took 4 months to get them all haha. It'll be worth it though ^_^ The toys look really awesome. Take a picture when you put them all together. I'd love to put a picture of it on our "What People Purchased" photo gallery =) Thanks again!

wizic, yeah that's how it came from them. I would say that they did (again they have questionable business practices). If it doesn't work let me know but I assume it should. Glad you got them though!

Hey Goomba, I just ordered some headphones about an hour ago (Monster Turbine Pro Copper), and I got an email...but how do I pay for the item? I didn't receive any invoice. Also, when I was checking out, it said that I need to have the money available in my PayPal balance. Why can't I just use a bank transfer? Does it cost more, and how much? Thanks.

SilentK!ller7, there were payment instructions when you checked out on the website (perhaps you missed them?). You can use a bank transfer but if there is any type of fee associated with the transaction we ask you to cover it as we are only charging fixed prices for our service fees. Our personal Email is jjparks AT improcomics DOT org. You can attempt to make the payment there with your bank transfer. If there are fees then I will let you know. Thanks!

I just checked an it appears that there is a 5.23$ CAD fee on my side, and I don't care about that. Is there going to be another fee once you receive the money? I'm not very experienced with PayPal, but don't they take like 3% of the money someone sends to another person for service charges? Also, you buy the item right away after payment right? So that will take 1-2 weeks to ship it out, and then another week for me to receive it, approximately right? I'll send payment after your reply.

Typically speaking if it asks you to pay a fee up front then that covers all fees. If there is a fee I will let you know but I doubt it'd be much if any if it's asking you to pay that much up front. Also, yes I do buy the items as soon as I receive payment in full for them :) Most items though I will receive within a week and ship out within 2-3 days of receiving them. So I'd assume it'd be slightly faster than your estimates :) Thanks!

Alright, I just send the money to your account ([email protected]). The headphones state that they will ship in 1-2 weeks according to Dell.com
That means 1-2 weeks to ship, then another week for you to receive, and then another week for me to receive it. So hopefully I'll get them in less than a month. Thanks!

By the way, there are at least 3 people who are buying these headphones through your service.
