GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Just a reminder I am out of town the next 30 hours or so. I will update this thread tonight and check for new DR's when I have downtime in the hotel. Cya soon guys ^_^ It's a beautiful 75 degrees F here so I'm loving this spring weather finally :)

We ended up staying overnight in NYC. This time around we're in the financial district and having a good time. Not as crazy run-around as our trip was in December, but it is a heck of a lot warmer :) Today was BEAUTIFUL and we walked probably about 5-10 miles just from shop to shop and restaurant to hotel and such. Didn't use the subway much as our hotel is kind of off the main grid, unlike last time. We will be returning back to Uncasville tomorrow around 9PM and I'm considering to take off Monday from work to work on GFC orders and spend the night with my wife on her real birthday.

I'm going to stay up about one hour now and do some DR's and then off to lala land for this Goomba. Thanks again guys for everything!

Hey Goomba

Just wanted to ask a question since Im new to this. I want to order a game or two from gamestop.com. They require a billing address and a shipping address. The problem I am running into is I keep the billing address as my information and the shipping address as yours. When I do this and try to place the order, the gamestop website automatically will remove your information because the billing and shipping addresses have different countries listed. I guess I could change the billing and shipping address to your information but then when I make the payment, wouldn't there be a conflict when they charge my credit card without my information?

How have others gone around this?

By the way, I love what your doing. Companies like gamestop charge an arm and a leg for shipping. Does it really cost $14.99 to ship a game to someone? I don't think so. Keep up the good work!

Place the order from the gamesforcanada.com web page and then Goomba will order it for you!

I'm curious why a lot of you aren't getting my Emails. I recently switched to a secure Email client so I wonder if that's either not sending out properly or if they're going to your junk mail folders. I will have to look into this (or perhaps revert back to my old non SSL Email system I used for eons). I will try to test this out more in depth. I just got back from my mini 2-Day NYC romp so it's back to business. I'm taking off all day Monday (today) from work to work on GFC matters. Lots of important updates coming soon and hope to be all caught up by Tuesday night :)

** Important GFC Updates **

Okay I just spent about two hours making some important changes that may not appear to be huge changes, but they're crucial to our success. The "DR Classic Service" page has now been updated in the following ways:

* Dynamic Order Number Given: Like the DR 2.0 system, your order will have a randomly generated order number that is used to identify your request. This helps us organize your orders and gives you a way to say "Hey Goomba, I ordered a copy of Final Fantasy XIII it was order: XXXXXXXX on the DR Classic Page". This lets me find your order in mere seconds instead of hunting through tons of folders and such. Like I said, very important change :)

* The form will now ask "Is This a Package Forwarding / Self Order: YES or NO? This will allow us to know immediately whether it is an order you have paid for yourself and shipped to our secure UPS address (aka Package Forwarding or Self Ordering). In the past we used this form for both Package Forwarding and general Direct Request classic orders, so this will help us identify which is which without confusion. Another big and important change for us!

* Items will now be numbered correctly #1, #2 etc. No more "Order #0" messages :)

More updates to come soon! These changes will help us significantly to keep up on orders and stay organized. Any suggestions or comments are welcome! ^_^

VivaItalia , as others have mentioned you can use the Package Forwarding page here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php but if the store (like Gamestop) doesn't let you use my address then you will likely have to use our Direct Request service. In the near future we will have our own system to issue prepaid credit cards with our name and address (more on this next month probably) but for now it's one or the other. I'm glad you like the idea of our services though, you guys are the reason we keep doing this!

strife18, thanks buddy. I will keep an eye out for you :) I will be updating as many orders in real time this week as I can. I have a full 4 days off before our MAJOR Poker Tournament starts on 03/27/2010. Exciting times for GFC!

** GFC Whirlwind Update **

We are calling this new recovery act our "GFC Whirlwind Update". We have sent out a TON of DR's/Emails/Updates and by tonight will be all caught up with DR's. Tomorrow will be a crazy shipping day and after that I hope to keep up with all orders again same day within 24 hours. The items that came in this weekend and that come this week will be photographed and updated and if any funds are due we will Email you. In addition, by the end of the week we hope to have all GYROS updates updated in real time again.

We are truly catching up! The new updates mentioned earlier tonight will make a huge leap towards true organization and next month our automated prepaid systems will go live. Exciting times guys! Thanks for all your support.

Current Status: 17 DR's Remaining ^_^

** GFC Whirlwind Update **

We are 100% caught up with our Direct Request invoices (for the orders we received). If you didn't receive an invoice please kindly send me a PM or Email and let me know. Thanks again guys. GYROS will be tomorrow as will shipping for items.

Current Status: 0 DR's Remaining ^_^

Best thing to do would be to do self-order/Package Forwarding but you can still request items via standard Direct Request. I will be in the office most of the day so try to let me know ASAP if there's something you want :) Thanks!

Just checked GYROS, and saw my order ;) Just want to confirm that the Fightstick is indeed the PS3 Tournament edition (namely my fault if it's not the right one as I may not have been completely specific, despite writing it in the details section =[)

Yes Captain that is correct. I was just going by what you typed in for your order. I will go back later and edit it to be more specific for you :) Thanks.

You should put some Google ads on the Gyros update page, you'd make a fortune from how many times I refresh to see if my package is shipped yet :D

jeffx, I don't get free shipping from Capcom. I get 50% off shipping off all shipping for items over $75.00 but for an item like DMC4 it's too cheap to really get the discount or free shipping. They do include a mini art-book though free with all DMC purchases. It'd be around $27.00 USD shipped with everything to Canada. Let me know. Thanks.

wow their shipping totally kills the deal then. thanks for checking but no thanks. will definitely order from amazon.com if their 4PM gold box is eternal sonata or SO4 though.
dude bro. Today's Amazon Gold Box has a PS3 RPG at 1PM PDT (4 ET). If it's SO4 or Eternal Sonata and in the cheapo range, I want it. What's the best way to go about this? DR or?
You'd probably be better ordering from Amazon to Canada.

The cost for one game shipped to Canada would be $8.98 shipping and around $3.00 for the import fee deposit.

If Goomba were to ship this to you it would cost around the same.
thats IF they even let you ship to Canada, most video games won't ship here
Most will actually, at least from what I've seen lately. Over the past six months they've really become lax on what they will ship to Canada.

In any case, the ones he mentioned he wanted will ship to Canada.

lolwut? try 5$ tops. again, amazon.com won't ship most games to Canada.

edit: you're right, these two do ship to Canada. But I'm more than happy to give my business to Goomb. Not to mention it'll be cheaper.

Eh forget it, SO4 @ 45$, not a deal. Will wait until 30$ price point.

The Gold Box was definitely a disappointment today but there will be better ones soon enough I'm sure. Endokun, surprisingly it did. I was stunned considering they cancelled my other orders for these. I'll have it packed up probably tomorrow for you :)

Myv, thanks. We had a really great time in NYC though it was cut a little short (Mrs. Goomba wanted to leave the second day around 2:00 PM because we had done so much walking and she had things to do back in CT, but it was the most beautiful weather I ever saw in New York and I loved every minute of it. GREAT food too ^_^ Oh and yes you're absolutely correct: A TON of new orders. There's even more on the way too. Keeping me super busy for sure!

** Small GFC Update **

I am going to experiment with something. As you know, I'm starting to photograph all outgoing orders for the "What People Ordered" Google Picasa Gallery. I will further be enhancing this with live links on the GYROS page. So items that show up with blue-ish hyperlinks will in fact be click-able and will link directly to the Google Gallery Links for that item. So if you're curious "What the heck is an Xtreamer", now you can find out =)

Let me know what you think of this guys. If you like it I'll do it from now on when possible.

In case you guys are curious, here's what my car looks like after a typical UPS Store Pick Up ^_^ Note my groovy Yellow Uniqlo shirt in the reflection of the car window!

Lol thats awesome Goomba, I'm sure it would have been weird the first few times but I think by now the people there probably know you quite well. :)

strife18, yeah the UPS people know me quite well now lol. I think they know what I'm doing too because every now and then packages have come in other people's names and they weren't too happy with that. They have, however, put up with me this long though :) I think I'm one of the only people that uses their mailbox services and I pay the business rates which are higher than the standard ones, so I guess they forgive me in the end. I have to drive almost an hour to get there though so I drive my Prius which is a small car at times when shipping so many packages lol.

Oh well. Time to go and get some more packages from UPS :) Cya guys tonight!

We actually get a lot more than is listed. Several items are still Package Forwarding only or eBay related which in the past I haven't listed on the site. Given that PF orders are becoming increasingly more popular I will now include them all on GYROS :) but yes, we sure are busy!

Haha yeah I'm going to do it from now on for all items. As long as I do it while packing then it shouldn't be too much more work. If an item is not photograph-able or if it's too big to photograph or if I've already shipped it than I may post a stock photo for it, but 99% will be original photos taken by me :) Oh Joy of Joys!

I'm actually quite interested in where some people buy their items and for what price, might be interested in ordering as well :D especially apparel/footwear, it's really hard to find shoes like Onitsuka in Toronto for a good price.

Let me guess, some people are ordering Rated R/X items or intimate items are part the un-photographable bunch ;).

J/K

I'm sure those are not the only items that can't be photographed ... probably stuff like light-sensitive stuff, things that have been well boxed / wrapped, etc can't be photographed well either..

Hi goomba, i check the GYROS page and i happen to see that the coppers are scheduled to shipped on 29/3/10. So is the order still valid? :D

Myv, yeah the Onitsuka are really cool shoes. Those ones in particular were exclusive series/color to Zappos.com which was really neat (and great prices too!). If you guys want I can start putting some information on what they cost and where they came from in the photo details, but keep in mind sales go fast online these days.

penetratingpincer, no X-Rated items though I have been selling a LOT of women's undergarments (bras/panties/etc.) lately for some reason lol. I think our clothing section is giving gaming a run for its money. In the summer I will be starting a clothes-centric service that mirrors GFC that will have some promotions of its own though. Keep an eye on that :) As for items that can't be photographed, I meant more like snowboards and such that were too long to fit into frame, but I figured out a way to photograph my skiis order so I'm sure I can pull off 99% of items ^_^

shadowjeff, unfortunately no. Only the first 4 that I ordered went through. The rest were cancelled by Dell. So yeah...unfortunately not. I still have no guarantee those other 4 will go through but I'm hoping they do because I'd hate to have to refund all those. As always, I put orders in the order I receive them and the order I receive the money so occasionally companies do put limits on how many you can order. Sorry buddy!

Setite, no I haven't received the new SMT game yet but I assume it should be in any day now. I just got a bunch of packages today so it's possible that it's in there :) I will of course let you know and will send a shipping invoice as soon as I have it in my hands ^_^

** GFC GYROS Update **

Just wanted to let you guys know, all orders that are before March 2010 have been moved to the GYROS Archive. I want to keep the GYROS page as de-cluttered as possible, so for now I am going to have months where all orders are completed sent to the archive. This means that the first week or two of each month they will stay on the main GYROS page and once a month becomes entirely "green" it will go to the archives. Hope that makes sense. ^_^

In addition, all orders that currently take up more than one line on the GYROS page have been given spaces before and after their individual lines to make it easier to read. This way there isn't just a giant clump of information all jumbled together. I may end up double spacing all of the orders, but for now it'll only be for orders that take up more than one line. Also, all orders from now on will be photographed and updated in real time so keep an eye out for those nifty blue links now :) Should be fun!

I did receive about 20 new packages today so I'll go through them all when I get home :) I have a good feeling that 99% of your orders will be in so there's a very good shot that it's in there. As always, I'll be updating the GYROS page tonight ongoing as I open up the new packages and will let you know ASAP. Thanks again guys!

Goomba, I just sent a DR for Valkyria Chronicles, but its been a while since I've used your system. Not sure if I ended up sending enough money or what. Let me know. Thanks.
