GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

** GYROS UPDATE **

It's not quite the uber-update that I envision with toggle options and so forth, but there is a new (and greatly improved) version of the GYROS page which you can see here:

http://www.gamesforcanada.com/gyros-updates.php

The biggest differences are the following:

1) While GYROS is still defaulting to show the current month, the breakdown of orders is MUCH more specific now.

2) Items are organized with the respective Quickbooks/GFC order number as well as the randomly generated one from the website (when you put the order in).

3) Orders that were placed via Email without order numbers will have randomly assigned ones applied to them.

4) GYROS now organizes items by the approximated week they will ship. This is a broad thing I realize, but giving a 7 day window is a lot easier for me to estimate than saying "Item Ships XX/XX/XXXX" as people get very worried when they haven't received a shipping notice and GYROS says it should have shipped. Doing this weekly will give me enough time to plan accordingly and give you an idea of how many orders we have to process. As always, we will try to process the oldest orders first, based on the first order number (not the randomly generated one).

5) We now have new sections that strip out: Items Awaiting Shipping $ & Items Recently Shipped (this will show the last week or two and then they will be put into the GYROS archive page).

I hope you guys like these changes. I realize it may seem like a small thing, but it'll go a LONG way to making GYROS more up-to-date, easier to read and more organize. I still have about 30 PF and newer DR orders to add to the list, so don't worry. It'll take a couple of days for me to add them all, but in the meantime I'll be processing orders based on the new system.

Your feedback and comments are always welcome and appreciated. Thanks guys!

Love the new update Goomba... So much easier to read.

Curiously, though, is that tote back still not arrived? I don't really care if it hasn't, I just kind find it funny IF it hasn't... Man, that's taking longer to arrive than anything I've ever seen.

Yeah, the GYROS update isn't 100%, but it's a LOT easier for me to read and organize as well (not sure why I didn't go with this method originally, but oh well...you live, you learn). Oddly enough no the tote still isn't here. It shows as "Shipped" on the status page from the store, but I haven't gotten it. It's possible that it is there now and I'll get it Tuesday, but as of yet I haven't gotten it. It was shipped from eBags.com which is usually very speedy, but not sure what is taking them so long this time around. I will update GYROS as soon as it's in, I promise :)

Aight, just curious. I jokingly told my friend early July so she'd stop pestering me... Looks like my joke wasn't really that jokish ha ha. Life works in funny ways.

Yeah, in a perfect world all the stores would ship like clockwork (like Amazon.com with Amazon Prime!) but as we all know, many times this isn't the case. The good thing about waiting is that when you finally do get the item it feels that much more special =) or something. Yeah...waiting sucks. I don't want to make your friend wait any longer than necessary. If it's not here by Wednesday I'll call up the store and see what's going on ^_^. Thanks buddy.

For those of you who want to order things from our DR service but DON'T want to use credit cards (or have existing credits and such) then you can still use the DR service as it is now. Just when you are ready to check out, shoot me a payment to my personal account ([email protected] , you should know the drill by now) and send me an Email letting me know what the payment is for (if you can include the order number that'd be ideal). I'm still working on the other payment options as they're a bit more complex :) They'll be ready in a few weeks though. For now manual is the way to to go. Thanks!

I am off to bed now guys :) Tomorrow I'm not working (per se) but I'm meeting up with some family and friends and will be home around half of the day. I'll be shipping items that will go out Monday morning and of course updating more orders into the new GYROS system. Once we're all caught up, it'll be business as usual and then I can start the new payment method that I'm designing. Lots of things to do. It's good to be back in business! Thanks for your patience during the last few weeks. I realize it's not fun waiting or having items delayed. These changes I'm implementing will make sure these things never happen again. I will find a way to make it up to you all :)

Hi goomba, I sent you a PM about an inquiry, I hope you got it...my internet connection was messing up while I was trying to send it. If you didn't, I'll resend it

Thanks =)

hey goomba, have you seen any copies of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition for PS3 floating around in the ol' US of A? It seems to be quite rare now, so most retailers in Canada are sold out. I also sent in a DR for the Mixamp, so if I was off on the shipping would I get an updated invoice? Thanks!

game_fanatic, can't say that I have. Do you have a price range you'd be looking for on the TFU: Ultimate Sith Edition? I can look around for you :) Also, I'll send you an invoice for the Mixamp tonight. Thanks!

Well if it's available for $50-$60 BNIB I'd definitely consider snagging it, on release it retailed for $40 but I think the demand became apparent pretty quickly, resulting in an increase in price. If you could keep an eye out that'd be great goombs, thanks!

Okay and furthermore, are you looking for a brand new copy? Or would a complete used copy in great condition suffice. Let me know and I shall search :)
I saw a used copy at a local Rogers for PS3 Sith edition.. can't recall what it was exactly, maybe 29.99?
Man QQQ if you happen to see another copy with all the goodies inside I'd be indebted to you forever if you could snag it for me!

Hi Goomba,

Just made a payment for the MGS BB PSP pack (direct request). :)
I am not sure if the service fee is correct though (seems a bit more than usual), not sure how it was calculated.

Leshita, the reason it may seem a little more than usual is that the online system includes the Paypal fees for the credit card processing. I will be adding an option soon to pre-add funds to your account before-hand to avoid these fees, but in the meantime it's the best way to do it. Thanks!

Oh and Leshita...you didn't include the full price of the item. It's $200 + $6.00 shipping and 6% Sales Tax which comes out to $112.50. I will put your invoice together and order it for you and we can sort out the difference via Email. Thanks.

hey james, finally signed up lol..

Just wondering if you got my direct request order last night? It was actually for 2 items and I already paid for them. Let me know. Thanks

Hi there forevergone, welcome to the club! Yes I did. I'll be ordering them tomorrow morning as I have to do it over the phone apparently. Thanks again! I will add the new orders to GYROS tonight and tomorrow. Appreciate it!

wizic, yeah they're kind of ticking me off too. Their online store SUCKS.

That being said, I am staying home from work tomorrow to process the GFC orders and am staying up till around 3:00 AM adding in new orders to the updated GYROS. Thanks guys!

Man, kind of a weird statement...

But does anyone know if anyone makes ear plugs that don't look retarded? The only reason I ask is because Im going to an out doors concert in September, and I don't want to destroy my ears (I love live concerts, but it takes a lot for me to listen to them because my ears are ridiculously sensitive)

Alternatively, anyone got a cool beanie/toque to suggest so I can use to cover my ears at the very least? ha ha.

My recommendation, DEFINITELY wear earplugs. Don't worry about looking retarded. Just get a pair that is black and not neon orange and you should be fine. Nobody will be looking at you during the concert so don't worry :) Your hearing is far more important. Or wear the stupid neon orange ones and then just put a beanie over it. Problem solved.

ear plugs are 6 for 4$ at your local drugstore... there's nothing "retarded" about any of them.

man I wish I knew what life is like without loud neighbors. I've had to use earplugs to fall asleep for the past 10 years.

I wasn't aware they make black ear plugs... I swear to god everytime I've found them they're always some neon orange or green.

I was just scoping my options.

Man, I know how it is jeff... Except, I don't have loud neighbours, I have a really annoying cat that I saved from going to the SPCA (didn't really want the cat, but I don't hate cats, and I hate animals going there) that wakes me up at 5 AM everyday, so I gotta wear earplugs because it literally meows in my ear til I get up :p

Oh, the reason I asked is I didn't know if earplugs would be the best option. I generally stay at the farthest corner of concerts with a camera, so it isn't too bad on my ears (normally outside or open roof). I didn't know if the concert would be loud enough to not get intensely muffled with plain ear plugs.

These ones are technically Olive but they're double sided so you can choose olive or yellow. Quite nice and available on Amazon. Not sure if they're outside your price range :) the bright orange ones are cheap but you get what you pay for I guess ^_^.

Earplugs are always a good idea because honestly even farther away concerts are still hell on your ears. I love concerts so I should know, lol. ^_^

Awesome. They're west coast, so they're +2/+3 hours behind depending on our time zone. Just an FYI for when you do call.

Got your Email blackric. I'll try to send out the Email tonight :). It sucks that I have to file a 1099 though, I forgot about that. I'll let you know when it's been sent. Thanks!

blackric, I don't have a Fax machine any more but I'll figure out something for you tomorrow. I may be able to open an eFax account on a trial basis or something.

CaptainKishimoto, done and done. Thanks!

Goombmeistro, curiously... What type of music are you into? I can't even begin to guess.

I might pick those up, Im just a little worried about muffling the sound too much. I'll let you know.

Considering I play multiple instruments usually forceably loud (and am starting to get more into concerts), I am gonna consider investing in musician's earplugs... The ridiculously expensive re-usable ones that are like $150, but they don't muffle the sound at all.

I figure that since I gotta sleep with earplugs, I gotta go to concert with ear plugs, and generally I like studying in silence... I'd get my worth outta them for protecting my ears since I ALWAYS carry ear plugs with me.

Oh, and lets not forget the classic "Let's go camping" only to find out one guy snores like he's possessed by the devil (mind you, in this case, generic ear plugs would be better, but still)

Gosh...when it comes to music I'm into pretty much anything you can think of. My all-time favorite band is "They Might Be Giants" as I have an almost-religious-fanaticism with their music, but I listen to all kinds of music honestly. Most of my favorite bands fall under "alternative" but that's a really generic label if you ask me. I listen to: Pop, Rock, Metal, J-Pop, C-Pop, K-Pop, Christian Pop/Rock, Chiptunes (Video Game stuff), Movie Soundtracks, Jazz, Soul and the occasional Rap/Hip-Hop/Country (the three categories I listen to least). Really anything goes in the Goomba music catalog :) I just like what I like, so if a song hits me it doesn't really matter who the artist is or what type of music.
I am gonna consider investing in musician's earplugs... The ridiculously expensive re-usable ones that are like $150, but they don't muffle the sound at all.
You're talking about custom ones, right? For around that price I'm pretty sure you can get earplugs that are molded for the shape of your ear and have a tiny little hole custom-drilled into them to preserve sound fidelity and block all frequencies equally (like a flat response curve).

Yeah. That's why the price was so high. I was contemplating getting cheap universal fit ones, but I figure I may as well the custom moulded ones.

Check the UPS store, I believe they offer fax services, the ones here do for a small fee, same goes for my local pharmacy.

Heya goomba, not sure if you're on your way to send out my items (#1250 / 2125020390) yet or not. But I was wondering if you could hang onto them for a little longer, I've got one more item headed your way and want to send everything together.

Thanks

hiyo goomba at this point what would you suggest to do~?
1) screw the order and get money back from target?
2) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
3) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
4) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
5) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
6) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
7) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
8) spend extra money and burn down their HO?
9) wait and wait some more and wait till bp oil spill consumes the world?
10)all the above?

I'm working on more of your orders as I'm home now and packing up items and such. In the meantime check out my cool Scott Pilgrim avatar of myself:

maigoyume, I was shipping yours out next so I'll just hold off then if you have another item and will shift yours to be shipped next week. Thanks for the heads up!

forevergone, I'm waiting for the bank to clear the funds (since the items are more than $400). At the moment I can only use my debit card for purchasing so we're almost there ^_^ I will update your status on the GYROS once the order is complete. Thanks!

wizic, yeah I think I'm going to have to cancel the order and ask them for the money back. They're one of the annoying stores that charges you up front and then makes you wait for your items, instead of charging you once the items ship. Sorry they suck so badly.

jonkaho, haven't found them yet but I did look. There's a few stores on the way to work that I'll check this week :)

Very nice retro.elite, anyone interested? Let me know. First come first Served :) it'll be $36.50 each card including service fee (plus applicable fees if paying with credit card). Thanks guys!
