GFC is Back in Business! Worldwide Package Forwarding & Item Ordering Services ^_^.

1) Direct Request (DR) Services - The service that started it all, our Direct Request (DR) Service allows you to buy just about anything you want from the USA and have us order it and ship it directly to you. This is perfect for those of you who are unable to buy from USA merchants that will not ship to Canada directly or who do not accept Canadian/International credit cards. We charge $2.00 per item ordered plus shipping. Additional fees apply for items weighing more than 5 pounds shipped or more than $150 USD in value. Our online form will calculate everything for you automatically and there's no obligation to buy anything until you check out with Paypal. Feel free to ask any questions you may have about our services.

2) Package Forwarding (PF) Services, Address & Rates - [PREMIUM SERVICE] If you want to order the items yourself, you can! You can order from any website that ships to the USA. Ship the items to our secure UPS mail box and we will repackage them and ship them to you in Canada (or any other country for that matter). Typical fees apply for this service as usual and you pay only $1.00 per package received at our mail location. Quick, easy and GREAT for limited-time sales when the Direct Request option may not be quick enough. Please note we cannot ship: meat, cigarettes or other nicotine items (including electronic cigarettes and their accessories), alcohol, weapons or gun accessories (including paintball/airsoft), pornographic materials, toxic chemicals (including several cleaning liquids), fertilizer or any items that are illegal to ship internationally. Also, any items containing NI-CD or LI-Ion Batteries can no longer be shipped via USPS (Laptops, cell phones, handheld game systems, etc.) and must be shipped via UPS instead. If you have questions about a particular item, please contact us first before ordering.  You will receive an Email invoice with PDF attachment explaining line-by-line details of all charges and full payment options. GFC PF Service Requires Premium Membership which costs $10.00 a month or $100.00 a year (discount of two free months) and is available in our GFC Store. Full details on website.

3) GYROS Updates - After you have ordered your items, filled out the forms and notified us of your order we will add your items to our GYROS page (generally within a week or less). Once your items have been received, we will invoice you for the shipping costs + our service charge. After receiving your payment, your items will be shipped out to you in a timely manner and you will receive an Email with all relevant shipping information ^_^. If you have any questions feel free to Email us at [email protected] .

Service Charges (Free Members):

GFC Charges $2.00 per item forwarded for standard or "Free" Members. Please note that an item in this case refers to each item within the packages you ship to us. So if you were to order say 2 DVD Movies, an Umbrella and a Towel, this would count as 4 items total. Items that are sold in "Lots" such as multiple baseball cards will be counted as one item, subject to our discretion. Also, UPS Charges me to pick up the packages, so there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per package received. I will add into the invoice for you when I get your iitems in.

For larger orders, an extra $5.00 USD surcharge is added for each 5 pounds your package weighs OR per $150 in value of their total contents (example: a 5 pound package would cost an additional $5.00 USD, a 10 pound package would cost an additional $10.00 USD OR a $150 item (or group of items totaling $150 or more) would have an additional $5.00 USD charged, a $300 group of items would have an additional $10.00 USD charged). Please note that this will be either a weight or cost surcharge and not both, but the greater of the two will be what is charged. An item weighing 14 pounds will still only be $10 added as it didn't yet reach the 15 pound mark. This will be shown on your invoice and will be clearly explained. In the near future, this service charge will be automatically calculated for package forwarding items the way it is currently automatically calculated on our Direct Request 2.0 system.

So Again the things to remember:

1) Ship to the address above
2) Ship all packages in my name (James Parks) and if you want to include your information as a “Gift Message” on the order, you certainly can do that. This is required though to be in my name as the UPS store will only sign for packages in my name and will refuse all others.
3) You MUST fill out the Direct Request (DR) form on the link above to let me know what’s coming
4) Once I receive your DR submission and all your items, I will invoice you for the shipping cost plus service fees.

Estimated Shipping Costs:

The following are shipping estimates for standards weights. This will give you a pretty good idea of how much it will cost to ship your item to Canada. If you live in another country, feel free to inquire by contacting us directly.

For all items from 0 - 4 pounds we typically use USPS First Class Mail:

$00.00 = 0 Pounds / Digital Items
$09.00 = 6 ounces
$09.00 = 7 ounces
$09.50 = 12 ounces
$11.00 = 1 Pound
$16.50 = 2 Pounds
$22.00 = 3 Pounds
$27.50 = 4 Pounds

For all items from 5 pounds and up we typically use USPS Priority Mail:

$38.00 = 5 Pounds
$40.00 = 6 Pounds
$42.50 = 7 Pounds
$45.00 = 8 Pounds
$47.50 = 9 Pounds
$49.50 = 10 Pounds
$52.00 = 11 Pounds
$54.50 = 12 Pounds
$57.50 = 13 Pounds
$55.00 = 14 Pounds
$62.50 = 15 Pounds
$60.00 = 16 Pounds
$63.00 = 17 Pounds
$70.00 = 18 Pounds
$72.50 = 19 Pounds
$75.00 = 20 Pounds
$77.50 = 21 Pounds
$80.00 = 22 Pounds
$83.00 = 23 Pounds
$85.50 = 24 Pounds
$88.00 = 25 Pounds

For any items over 25 pounds, we'll have to manually invoice you.

On Hold & Unclaimed Merchandise:

GFC allows you to send items to our secure UPS Package Forwarding address (listed above). After you order your items it is your responsibility to properly fill out our Package Forwarding (PF) Form on our website located here: http://www.gamesforcanada.com/package-forwarding.php . Once you do this, we will be notified of the items you have ordered and you will pre-pay the shipping/service charges up front for us to process and re-ship them to you.

The first 30 days are free to hold all Package Forwarding items. This is plenty of time for you to successfully order from the various stores that you want and submit our PF form to notify us. This also allows for adequate time for you to request us to combine items into a single package.

After 30 days, there will be a $5.00 USD charge per ITEM per week (flat rate fee) until the payment has been paid in full. Since you are pre-paying for the item costs, you will be responsible for both shipping to your country, our GFC Service Charges and any processing fees associated with the transaction.

After 90 days, GFC will not be responsible for unclaimed or missing merchandise sent to us at our Package Forwarding address. We suggest that you fully insure all orders sent to our address in case of loss or damage as we will not be responsible for missing or damaged goods.

Awesome, thanks Goomba, I have the address and will send you the $2 now :D
Leshita, thanks for reminding me. I see that your Big Boss Bundle will go to the Waterloo address. Got it!
Crap, actually Goomba... I changed my mind... could you please send it to my Vancouver address instead if it is not too late (same as all my other packages). I just noticed the PSP-4000 rumours and I think I will keep this sealed for now instead of playing it this summer. :p

Man, got my zombies... The artwork of these games is so sweet. I kinda chuckle though because I think the stuff Screwattack is sending me will arrive first and it was shipped a week later... Postal services here is getting mega sloooooooooooooow.

** Important GFC Update **

I got notice from Paypal today that they will no longer be allowing me to receive personal payments to my Paypal account since I receive so many gift / personal payments. Just wanted to let you guys know this. To balance this out, I will take Paypal fees into consideration with GFC Service Charge discounts on the new site updates. Between this and Package Forwarding you should be able to keep fees at a minimum. I have to let you know this though. If I receive gift payments for business purchases after July 13th, they will permanently close my accounts. Just giving you heads up!

Lucas252, you can PM me your new Email address and I will update it in the system. Thanks!

Seriously, paypal, you already charge fees on personal payments (they charge the sender instead of the receiver). How greedy are you guys?

It might be cool to set up a direct credit card payment system... except the trajectory of that may take awhile.

If there is a chance they may close your account for this, I think you may have to look at stopping payments for awhile, as I'm sure people will do this without realizing it. The last thing we need is PayPal banning you =( (Until you figure out another service)

Well, they no longer charge payments for personal gift payments (at least US to US they don't)...so yeah. It sucks, but I can't risk losing my account as it's the only way I can do business realistically online. I'll come up with other creative ways to lessen fees whenever I can =) Don't worry.

gsrce, they acknowledged that it was happening in a personal letter to me (actually written by a person this time and not an automated one) and they wanted to let me know about it. I guess people have been sending me gift payments and are leaving comments like "This is for my GFC purchase" etc which is SOOOOOO against their rules. So yeah, not the smartest thing. I will make sure to make it very clear to people not to do this sort of thing and will change the system on the website before July 13th to ensure it doesn't continue. Thanks for your concerns!

They always ding me roughly 5-10% ontop of conversion fees. I either have the option of paying it on my end (since they will tell me how much it is unlike other forms of payment), or I can force you to pay for it.

Not to worry SVxM I just haven't added the new orders on yet :) I will do so when I get home from work today (or sooner if I have a few minutes at work). Thanks!

Only with a credit card... which is basically the same thing as the business/premier fees as far as I'm aware.

What I know for sure though is that when I pay from my bank account as a gift, I pay 1% for the conversion and that's it. ie a $250 payment cost me $2.50 extra...
emjaymj, I packed it this weekend but it technically shipped today. I'll send you the info. It's still possible you get it by this upcoming weekend. Not impossible anyhow!
Thanks! I'm not going to hold my breath though :) Sometimes it DOES come that quickly, and sometimes it takes ages, but my wallet still hasn't arrived yet so I doubt I'll be seeing that razor within the next two days heh

Just letting you guys know I'm home now but doing some banking stuff for my lawyer. I'll be doing GFC things tonight around 10PM - 2AM or so. Thanks again!

Hey goomba, I may/may not have had a small hiccup while doing Order Number: 221321838. Please check it out, and email/PM/post here with any updates you have for me :)
Thanks!

AJD23, I don't think there was any issue with your order. I only received one request and one payment so I think you're all set. I'll get your items ordered for you and will add them to the GYROS soon. Thanks for the heads up but I think you're fine ^_^.

Oh by the way guys. In case you were wondering why the GYROS weeks end on Monday (which is by no means the end of any normal week period) there are two reasons for this:

1) Post Offices are closed on Sunday so even if I pack up your items on Sunday, they won't actually go out until Monday. By listing the end of the week as a Monday it's more accurate and more truthful because if I say shipping that week, more than likely the item will actually ship by that day :).

2) Many orders come in during the week and I tend to pick up items at the UPS store on Thursdays, which means I often need a couple of days to process them. Having the entire weekend means that I can get the items shipped out in a more orderly fashion.

Hope that makes a little bit of sense ^_^. I guess I could say "Period" instead of Week, but I like the sound of week better =P.

** Special GFC Cross-Promotion **

Just wanted to let you guys know that my good friend, fellow CAG, dv8mad has officially opened up a website. The service in many ways mirrors GFC's but with one major difference: it's located in Japan. This means you can get all sorts of crazy import games, manga, anime, trinkets, gashapon (toys that come in those little toy dispensers you see in the game Shenmue), and much more. He also has package forwarding and Japan Yahoo Auctions services as well. Not only does he offer some great services at a fair price, he's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet (virtually...I haven't met him in person yet but hope to one day).

In any case his site is here: http://www.dv8cag.com and you'll see his lovely banner on our sidebar from now on on the GFC website. He's going to be promoting our site and we will continue to promote his. It's a win-win for everyone ^_^.

PS: dv8mad wanted me to let you know that his service is only open to CAGs for now, which isn't a problem for you guys of course but...when you register on his site put your NAME AND YOUR USERNAME as your CAG Username. Do not list your real name in the "Name" field. He's working on updating this, but for now just list your CAG name in both fields.

Oh and check out his cool banners:

That is all for now :) I'm off to bed now guys. It's going to be crazy busy this weekend due to the 4th of July/Independence Day here in the States. Not to mention the casino I work in will be a madhouse. Cya all soon! I will ship out most of your orders this weekend so keep an eye on GYROS. Thanks for all your support!

oh sweet, I may try to get some retro games from Japan in this case. I've heard that Super Potato, although large, many of their games are overpriced. Are there any popular retro game stores with better prices?

;) I'll handle this one goomba.

Unfortunately, most shops in Japan are overpriced. That's why going out regularly trying to find deals is my #1 goal. I will also be trying to purchase entire collections from people at discounted rates in the future as I build up more money to try things like that.
The pricing here is something you learn to live with. Paying $80 for a new release video game is bad, but the $120 CEs are worse! Want an anime blu-ray set? That'll be $250 please.

Like goomba though, I always do my best to keep my eyes peeled and find good stuff at good prices.

Ah thanks for the info dv8mad, I didn't realize games were that pricy, here in Canada many new releases are $70 ($60-$65 recently due to the strong CND dollar) and I thought we were the only ones getting gouged. Thats why most guys here resort to trading in games to compensate.

I've been following this guys named lukemorse1 on youtube for a while, hes also a guy living in Japan and he shows off cool game stuff he comes across http://www.youtube.com/user/lukemorse1 . Gonna watch some more vids of his to get ideas. Check his channel out, its really neat.

Cool, there is a similar service for Japan now.

dv8mad, I do have a question though: say I was looking for something but I have no clue whether it exists in that form or not, is that a valid request? For example, if I wanted to get the entire regular set of Yumi Sugimoto trading card set but I have no idea whether its ever sold as a complete set or just as packs and boxes (or even if it's available any more) or Rin Takanashi cards (does she even have any cards since Shinkenger just finished?)

I am loving the synergy of our 2 little side businesses. Feels like Captain Planet or something lol, "with our powers combined..." lol. Or maybe Voltron would be a hipper analogy :)

Could be more like the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ...

...or Dragonball Z fusion (if anyone was a fan)
Hey goomba, I guess everything sounds good, just wanted to make I didn't make a mistake because it's been a while since I've ordered from you. I also sent you the $$$ I was short on the transaction last night. Thanks again.

In cases like that, the service would fall under Item Location and Purchase. Basically, I have looked for things in the past that didn't exist. We just didn't know it at the time. Basically the fee ends up being a time/travel fee in that case though. However, I can often come across something you are looking for, or sometimes something very similar. Usually everyone is happy in the end. At worst, you will know if the items are available or not! :D

I would rather be a combining transformer. However, right now we are crippled. If only we could get matching services from China, Korea and uhhh... Africa?

Haha yes so we are Captain Planet-esque Transforming Power Rangers searching for Dragon Balls. Sounds good to me =)

As for services from China, Korea and Africa, we'll have to work on them ... I think you overlooked Europe and Australia though! Those are HUGE markets ^_^.

Happy 4th of July everyone :) I realize you guys don't celebrate it in Canada, but it's a big deal here in the States. I'll be working at the casino from 10AM-6PM but will be doing packing and invoicing when I get home. Lots to do! Also, the post office will also be closed on Monday I just found out but that won't stop me from packing up nearly all the items and getting them ready to go out when they re-open Tuesday morning. Thanks again guys. Busy week for me!

Yeah, and what about South America?;)

Well of course South America too :) I kind of just lump all the Americas together. I'm bad like that =P Happy 4th of July guys. I am home from work and going to go visit my grandma soon. I'll be back before you know it ^_^.

Don't know if you have seen it or not yet, but your banner is up now as well on my front page. Rides a little low until you sign in and then gets perfect placement! ;)

Just received my backpack, wallet, and uh... european coin bag(?)

Interesting, because I got my razor on Monday, despite it being sent quite some time AFTERWARDS. I'm definitely pleased with all of the stuff though! A bunch of friends and family are quite impressed with the razor and the deal I got on it, so I might even eventually order a couple more :)

Also, for the first time in ages, we're almost completely caught up! The only thing I have yet to receive are the extra detergent cartridges for that razor, and then I can stop getting up earlier than usual in order to not miss the mail  I may order a couple other things soon, but we'll see, as I bought a nice LED TV which has taken up a nice chunk of my disposable income for a while.

Thanks again for all you've helped me out with though, I greatly appreciate everything you've done.

emjaymj, so glad you're enjoying your new items (especially the razor). I should have your cartridges any day now :) So I'll get those out. Feels good to be caught up, doesn't it?

forevergone, your tail lights just came in as a matter of fact. I should have them shipped out tomorrow with the decal. The tail lights came in two separate packages so I will probably ship them out separately as well :).

CaptainKishimoto, I shall check it out. Thanks!

Everyone else: I am still around. I just had a really busy week due to the holiday and next week I will be shifting to grave shift (midnight / 2AM / 4AM time starts) at the casino so my hours are going to be really weird for Emailing and updating :) Also, there's a lot of things going on in my family right now, so that's taking a good amount of my free time this week as well. I shall keep GYROS up to date and process all orders as often as possible. We no longer have a backlog, so items shouldn't take long to ship out after we receive them. 2-3 Days at most for almost all orders. Thanks guys!

Hey Goomba,

I'm sure you did... but just incase... did you ever follow up on getting a Canadian bank account (even through an American bank?). It may be different for Canadians since everyone wants an American account, but I just set up my American account earlier today (complete with American visa) to avoid stupid 2% fees from Paypal.

hi goomba any news of my order from target?
are they going to ship out or not
if they dont have stock then tell them to hurry up and refund the money, cause its not doing anything = :speaktothehand:;;;;;
this is taken way way way way too long i hope you can escalate to management level or director level right away when u call in.

RoganSarine, no sadly enough I never did manage to get a Canadian bank account (couldn't find any banks that would do it) so I still have $100+ CAD in Amazon.ca's Marketplace :( bummer. It's very hard apparently to get a Canadian bank account if you're not a Canadian citizen or a student in Canada. I'll figure it out one of these days.

Wizic, as far as I can tell we'll never be getting those items. I'm going to write to their customer service to get a refund. Thanks. Very sorry that they listed items they didn't actually have stocked. Talk to you soon!
